OT: Firefox 43.0.3 - Page scroll bars have disappeared?

WTF happened for automatic vertical page scroll bars when the content was deeper than the browser window? They seem to have disappeared and may be referred to only by pulling on the window wider or narrower. My mouse wheel does not work at the moment so have automatic vertical scrollbars in a browser is a must if it happen - it just seems to be simple stupid idea.

Operating system

Humm that's just weird - scrollbars yesterday, no today - after further investigation its an option under "system preferences" on Mac. Since I have not touch the "system preferences", I do not know why the scroll bars should disappear all of a sudden. After selecting the appropriate setting now, they are now back - is just like when the machine suddenly decide just to do his own thing.

  • When I use Firefox to display Oracle WebLogic EM, Firefox will not display the scroll bar on some pages. But Google Chrome.

    It is a problem specific to Oracle Web Logic EM.

    In our society, we use the logical Web as a basis for the application server.

    In the EM logic web server, users can use a Web Logic EM (EM is a portal to view processes on Web Logic application) to verify the data.

    I found when I use EM to check online XML, sometimes the page does not appear the scroll bar.

    If I use Google Chrome or Opera, and do the same thing, the page will display scroll bar.

  • When the browser window content Cup (was too small for the page) scroll bar will not scroll content cropped.

    Hey everybody,

    I have a new problem with Muse. It's my first Muse site, all my previous web work was HTML CSS, but I'm trying to learn the programs. However, I have a weird problem with my page... When the browser is too small - aka the window displaying the site is cropping some content, the scroll bar appears, but it won't scroll... I don't understand why. It seems to be the case in all browsers. Similarly, on some computers my footer is missing or invisible, not sure why, but on my computer I don't have the problem in all browsers (firefox, chrome, safari). Any advice?

    In addition, in site properties that I have the minimum height, the value to show the entire page, don't know what is happening. I also noticed, the scroll bar appears when the page is cut off, it will not simply scroll...

    Looks like you have your content made the fallen on the homepage... or on a layer that is pinned. Probably the header layer.

  • Web page scroll bar stops after the mouse, even while that pressed the button of the mouse down.

    1 left click to scroll the vertical scroll bar
    2. scroll up a little bit.
    3. the scroll bar then locks into position, IE moving around the mouse, but the scroll bar is 'stuck' and the window does NOT scroll.
    4. release the mousedown, then click on the scroll bar, and then it works again (until the next freeze).

    The gel is happening very quickly, i.e. within 1 to 2 seconds.

    Try to upgrade to Firefox 18 to check if it still happens with this version.

  • Dead of the page scroll bar

    Hi all

    I have developed the model for a Joomla site using dreamweaver and have hit a problem. The content of the pages on the site are entered through joomla and of course length pages vary depending on the volume of content. The pages have a color background and there is a central div with a white background, which is where the content sits. The problem is that on certain pages of the white central column does not go as far to the bottom of the page in the form of content. I can adjust the height of the div so that the white goes far enough for the longest page, but it is obviously way too long to the shorter page.

    I had the white to change the pitch with the content by using the following code:

    {#bkgd}

    width: 100%;

    height: 100%;

    background-color: #006666;

    position: fixed;

    overflow: scroll;

    }

    #wrap {}

    background-color: #FFF;

    overflow: inherit;

    min-size: 100%;

    }

    However, that leaves me with a dead on the side of the Central div scroll bar which is obviously not desirable.

    Is there a way for the Central tag to dynamically change its height without leaving slider in place?

    Thank you in advance for your help!

    Nils

    #wrap {}

    min-width: 760px;

    Max-width: 960px;

    text-align: left;

    Auto margin: 0;

    background-color: #FFF;

    padding-top: 5px;

    padding-right: 10px;

    border-right: 3px solid # 6 0;

    border-left: 3px solid # 6 0;

    overflow: hidden;

    }

  • 8.0 Firefox opens with the page size I have to zoom x 4 - every time.

    Whenever I open Firefox or Gmail, the page is way too small. I have to type Ctrl + four times for him to return to the size that it was before I upgraded to 8.0. This happens EVERY time opening.

    You can use an extension to set a page zoom and the size of the default font on the web pages.

  • How can I prevent the right vertical scroll bar to disappear?

    In one of the changes made to Windows during the past two years, the vertical right scroll bar, which was visible all the time, now turns off after a few seconds of inactivity.  I find it very annoying.  Normally, I place the cursor on the arrow towards the bottom of the scroll bar so I can click on it to move around the screen while I read it.  But since then the scroll bar disappears after a few seconds, I click and of course nothing happens.  I have to move the cursor to get the scroll to reappear/reactivate bar so I can use, then position it on the arrow down and click.  Boring, boring, boring.  Why they did it default for this is beyond me, since the scroll bar is non intrusive and barely perceptible.  Microsoft seems to be more concerned about the aesthetics of function.  I wish they reassess their values.  But I digress.  Is it possible to place the scroll bar so that it does not disappear?  Or, at the very least, set a timer so that it remains visible for more than a few seconds?

  • Scroll bars have their own mind...

    When I Zoom in on a photo and then try to move the image with the scroll bars, the image is mixture of insensitive and moving on its own.  Have you tried fiddling with settings.  I'm on windows 8.1 with Nvidia gtx 970. Problem started after the update from a previous version of photoshop...

    As a temporary workaround, hold down the space bar and use the mouse to move the box.

    Suggest you to reset the preferences of Lightroom.

    Before that, make sure you know the location of your catalog. If this is not the case, go to Lightroom under Lightroom settings and check the location under the general tab.

    Then, to reset the preferences of Lightroom:

    1. Stop Lightroom.
    2. Navigate to the preferences file:
      • Mac: /Users/ [user name]/Library/Preferences/com.adobe.Lightroom6.plist
      • Windows: C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom\Preferences\Lightroom 5 Preferences.agprefs
    3. Move the fichier.plist/.agprefs to the desktop.

    * The user library file is hidden by default on Mac. For temporary access to the file library user, press Option and select go > library in the Finder.

    then, open the Lightroom catalog again and check under collections publish If you are able to see these headers.

    Let us know if that helps.

  • I used to be able to 'restore' all my browsers open tabs (about 20 in each browser) and Firefox (about 30), but now the browsers have disappeared. Help?

    Hello

    I like Mozilla Firefox and have used the browser for years.

    I would like to have another Firefox browser for each main subject (for example, every future trip). I have about 30 Firefox browsers open at the same time in my memory of the computer. Each of these 30 browsers has about 20 different tabs open in my memory of the computer. So in total, I have about 30 x 20 = 600 open different tabs (Web sites) at any time. I often refer to them. Given that I spent the time to search for and find those sites, I want to read them easily in the future. I have also about 100 Favorites, but bookmarks are not as organized as browsers and tabs. At night, I put my computer to sleep. In the morning, I turn on the computer, and all browsers and tabs are there. If I had to reboot my computer, (for example after the installation of Windows updates), and then Firefox used to ask if I want to restore the previous session, I did, and I got all the tabs of 30 x 20 = 600 back legs without problem browsers.

    But recently I can't restore all these browsers; they are gone. How to restore all the browsers that I had to open previously? I see the tabs under "History", but they are not organised in all the browsers that I had opened. I have reset Firefox to the factory default, but which did not help.

    Thank you
    Craig
    Seattle, Washington, USA.

    Hi craigfmiller,

    A reliable restoration is to have all 600 tabs open and have options set to "remember tabs from last time", in you, Firefox preferences.
    If restore previous session on the current on: home page, has not all tabs that open upwards I recommend also having an add that manages sessions. Session manager can be a good idea to check.

    I hope this helps.
