  I had to change the password for my email account based on Yahoo (sbcglobal dot) net because the hack/spam. It's the second time in 6 months, and I'm having the same problem that took place the last time.   Problem solved. If someone stumbles across this post, I couldn't make it work because it was not sufficiently clear that Thunderbird has been asked for the password master and not the password to import the certificate.

  Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

  At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

  When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.
