  I have the player of Blu - ray Sony bdp-s185, and it is connected to the internet through the LAN. However, I can't use the dlna and 'throw' videos with.my.xperia smartphone. I put these internet things properly, and I can watch YouTube etc.
  But my phone says "Device not found", and I can't throw anything for the blueray drive.
  My drive supports the functions of jet/dlna? Or is it because I missed something important during implementation?

• OTP-S185 - helps to connect to Internet

  Good evening

  I bought a reader Blu - Ray BDP-S185 and fight so he can connect to the internet.  I have the drive connected to a LAN cable to my laptop to Apple (OS x 10.6.8) which shares its WiFi Ethernet connection (I know it works as I have an XBOX that gets its internet connection from the computer apple laptop when necessary!).  I have the following settings on my laptop:

  -Ethernet IP 10.0.0.1 address.

  The IP address of my router is 192.168.1.1

  On the Blu - Ray player I've tried Auto connect, but failed.  I then manually enter the following settings:

  IP address: 10.0.0.2

  Subnet mask: 255.0.0.0 (note this is also detected by my laptop IP Ethernet subnet mask)

  Default gateway: 10.0.0.1

  Primary DNS: 192.168.1.1

  Secondary DNS: 192.168.2.1

  I did put the Proxy Server for the Blu - Ray player option.

  Now on the BDP S185, when I go to "Network Diagnostics" I said "network connections are correct."

  In addition, the State of the network on the Blu Ray says physical connection: OK, Internet access: OK

  When I go to all services 'Internet Video' in the menu of Blu Ray players, I am presented with an end-user license agreement (previously, before that my 'Internet access' was 'OK' I have nothing, so I guess it's actually picking up the Internet).

  When I click on "I accept and next" I get a 'Status of Conection content Internet' box that says "connection to the Internet video service... (1/3) "after a certain time (with a line with a blue pulse goes fell on it), I get a new message box indicating ' connection status cannot be confirmed."  A network error has occurred.  You want to set Internet settings? "If I click on Yes, then I get caught for the installation of the network which says everything is fine."

  For more information, when I go to the "System information" page, I have the version of the software M09. R.0042 (which seems to be the most recent version).  I have a LINK connection status: succeeded but a commissioning server connection status: failed.

  Please can someone help me solve this problem! I would like to be able to use the features announced for my Blu Ray player otherwise I may as well have wasted my money!  The manual is pretty useless to help me to Setup/diagnose the problem!

  Thanks for the detailed explanation about the issue. It seems to be a small connection problem. I suggest that you perform the manual of installation of the Internet once again, by changing the last number in the sequence of four digits of the IP address.

  NOTE: Restart the player and the router before continuing.

   

  Change the last number to a higher number than the original but less than 254. For example, if the IP address on your computer is 192.168.0.5, enter 192.168.0.105

  If this is not enough, try to directly connect the LAN cable to the LAN of the drive port.

  If the problem persists, do factory reset in the player:

  Menu press HOME > Setup (suit case icon) > reset > all settings > OK

• Problem with video playback USB OTP-S185

  Before I bought the S185, I tested my laptop hard drive to an S590.  All formats video my played fine.  Now on the S185, mp4 files created by my Sony EX1R camera cannot be found or read.  I copied the files exactly as they were created. There is a dated folder name, a file BPAV folder CLP, a marked media file, then the media file with other metadata. What is the problem?  Yet once the S590 has no problem finding and reading it.  According to specifications, both players have the same format, reading ability. I tried updating the drive and it did not help.

  Check if the BDPS185 play other video files.
  Try putting only the. MP4 files on the hard drive and check if the Blu - ray player recognizes the files.

  Try to reset the player.
  All personal settings will reset to the default factory settings.

  Using the supplied remote control of the player, press the HOME button.
  Then, select the option settings (brief case icon).
  After that, select the reset option.
  Finally, the option "factory Reset factory settings.

• OTP-S185 USB size limit

  I have a blu - ray BDP-S185 with a USB drive. I can put in a flash drive & watching movies, listening to music etc. When I connect an external hard drive of 1 TB, it gives an error message that it is too big. What size works with it?  Blu ray to my friend (not sony) does very well with a 2 connected to.

  My question is what the larger drive I can connect? 1 TB is too big. I put a 16 GB USB key.

  If the maximum is 2 TB why do I get an error message saying on overload memory on a 500 GB drive that has only 40 GB of memory in use? It worked fine up until about 30 GB. Now, he gives the error message says to stop the system & unplug the USB. It will do so by watching a movie. If I turn off the unit & turn back on it works again. But I have to fast forward to the film.

  I checked online & others have had this problem with their players BDP-S185 & a few other players from sony. Is their an update I need to download?

  I can't access certain sites, mainly what I noticed his "https" such youtube login page also the download page for google chrome, it appeared on the google search engine, but that seems to work now.

  It is the random letters and Black diamonds. I tried to clear history, cache, flushing flushing my dns, change my character encoding, reinstall the browser but none does not seem to help. I can connect correctly using IE it seems associated with firefox.

  You can check the preferences of network.http. * on the subject: config page and delivery to zero all users "BOLD" network.http set prefs by default via the context menu-> reset.

  Check at least:

• Cannot connect to YouTube, the page will not load.

  I use version 28.0 and I cleared my cache, cookies and history of the browser. I can watch a video on Youtube, if a direct link and sometimes access to the site itself, but I can't log on my YouTube account. When I click on login, the page tries to load until I finally exit out of it and give up. After this point, I can not access the real YouTube website. I am able to connect to any other site, I've tried, including Facebook and my Gmail. I have no problem with this in my torch/Google Chrome or Opera browsers.

  I added Firefox on my programs that can both through Windows Firewall and have run Malwarebyte scans s, Windows Defender, and SuperAntiSpyware. What can I do to fix this? Y at - it a plugin that I missed resettlement, because I had to uninstall and reinstall Firefox from scratch recently, or is there something else I'm missing?

  The problem seems to have resolved itself somehow. I didn't do something different after trying to solve this problem, far backward at the beginning and running a couple of analysis between the two then and now you can find the usual cookies of my sites which had been cleared when I complained about this problem in the first place.   My firewall is set to "Manual control" and I get warnings for all attempts to access from the Internet.
  Firefox is already granted outbound access to the Internet, so I surfed without additional warnings. So if I go on YouTube, I can watch videos without receiving a prompt from my firewall.

  However when I visit a secure account login page (where I have to enter my username and PW) the firewall warns me that 'Firefox tries to use Adobe Flash Player 11.8 r800 to access the Internet.

  A prompt like this is provided by the firewall when a program uses another Internet access. If for example I click on a link in MS Excel, the firewall will tell me that Excel tries to use Firefox to access the Internet.

  Makes me concerned is:
  (1) Firefox already has access privileges. It should not "use Flash to access the internet.
  (2) this happens when I am about to use the keyboard to enter sensitive data in a secure page
  (3) there is no [apparent] Flash elements on the login pages.

  Could I have acquired a malicious Flash software that tries to collect the keystrokes and transmit somewhere? Is there a way to show (in Firefox) which Flash file works at some point? (This would let me distinguish what is what makes the access attempt)

  I am completely protected with Antivirus, anti-spam and breach prevention software. I also run Norton Power Eraser to see if there was anything at the root level. Nothing found.

  Pages can use Flash, even when there is no video is displayed. For example some sites use Flash for menus, some for audio and some may load Flash in their Google Analytics scripts so that they know as much as possible on your system.

  In most cases, the Flash Player will try to load a. SWF file, even if maybe it's not always easy. You might look for it in the Firefox Web Console.

  When viewing the page, press Ctrl + Shift + k, the reload of the page. If there is a request to support Flash on the page, it should appear in the console (if the request is blocked by a firewall, it must nevertheless appear as pending a request). There is a search/filter box where you could try to enter .swf to reduce the time needed to go through the list. You can find the URL of the requested file? That might or might not make you comfortable on demand.

  The KDL-46HX800 4.114 software version, just bought tv from best buy, update software, its direct connected to the router. have tried every thing to get my youtube account. step 2 check, to create the app password,
  has opened the second account with youtube. only used the username before the @, used with @gmail.com. Nothing like not the works password or user name. I know also about upper and lower case letters. at my wit's end. I used a Gmail address that is associated with a YouTube account. I met with the error message "failed to connect; Please check your entries. "when I walked deliberately a user ID and incorrect password. Make sure that you enter login information when you connect to YouTube.
