"Out of digital subscription" WARNING Windows Vista of

Hello world

IM using Microsoft Flight Simulator X Acceleration pack with Windows Vista Ultimate Edition SP2. I had installed a model plane addon with it's caliber own module (library .dll file). Now everytimes, I try to run this model airplane (which .dll module loads descripted above) in FSX, the warning as "..." box Seller of this module has no digital subscription from Microsoft. You would launch this module anyway... "appears for too many times. When I pressed "Yes" in each of these dialogues, the FSX and the model works ok then and those pesky warningboxes occurs later after flying with a plane ended (FSX tries to load it again). It's too boring procedure every time to see this box at unwanted times and each time to answer same and same issue. Other model integrated FSX aircraft works ok and do not produce these dialogues (because FSX uses its own indicés modules).

So my question is "is it possible to substitute for this .dll module Windows security settings so that these warningboxes will never arise later that the .dll module?".

Microsoft Help digging with my question did not result.

Thank you.

Hi, Karena

I found a solution!

As I mentioned in the above posts, I got "out of digital subscription" WARNING boxes like thisand every time I started this new aircraft model, about a hundred (!) these warningboxes were poped upward one after one. And the same torture waiting for me when the flight of session has been closed. Then, I used my brain for awhile and tried to find a way to eliminate these boxes. To do this, I have to find a reason for such behavior. These warningboxes arises because:

  1. Module is not digitally cued up.
  2. Module is digitally in index, but the certificate, with which he was indicés, have expired.
  3. Module is cued using the certificate which was stretched by a certification authority (CA) without Center.

(this is only a more popular causes, I think)

As I read on the web, such overload of security has been implemented by Microsoft since Windows XP SP2.

All cases, which have the confidence of your windows account, you can find in Certificate Manager (use "certmgr.msc" into the command prompt to open the Certificate Manager). And information about the module, you can find by pressing the right button of the mouse on the file in windows Explorer and selecting "Properties". If the file is not digitally cued the dialogbox 'properties' for this file does not contain a 'Digital Signature' tab

In my case, I had a second listed hits (certificate expired).

Solution:

I used Eldos PKI Tools (www.eldos.com) software to generate a code signing certificate. This certificate was designed for me (as acceptor) and by me (as a certification center). Then I converted certificate (using the included certificate conversion tool) of. PFX to. CPS form. After the certificate was ready, I re-signed these problem. DLL modules with my new certificate. I had the habit of Microsoft SIGNCODE. EXE tool (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/9sh96ycy (VS.80) .aspx) to perform a procedure of code signing.
And a certificate of import in a final step. PFX format in folder 'Trusted case' of my certificate manager.

After these actions, these pesky warning boxes has been COMPLETELY ELIMINATED. Hooray!

I have a laptop DV6 Pavilion running Windows Vista that I bought in 2009.  I realize that is no longer under warranty HP so I have to pay for any changes or corrections to this computer.

Earlier this week, the hard drive (the one included with the computer) failed with error 03f0. It is my understanding that this error is a fatal error and the drive is essentially 'toast '... Unfortunately, I do NOT have a backup of the image of that hard drive. I have just the recovery disks that I created when I got to the computer originally.  I quite like this computer I would try out running back (if possible) without having to spend a LOT of money. In my simple mind how how I get this computer running and upward would buy/install a compatible replacement hard drive and boot the system with the recovery discs. Unfortunately, I think my plan is simply probably naïve and I probably need to do other things. So I need some advice before you start this process and possibly wasting my time and money.

I need answers to some of these questions:

-Will it record Windows/Vista OS and more recovery disks to get the computer running with a new hard drive?

-If I need Windows OS disc, can I go directly to Windows/8?  OR do I need start with Windows Vista and then upgrade to Windows/8 later?  Use recovery discs and all Windows operating system? OR I can get running with just the disks in the Windows operating system?

-If I can get the hard drive and Windows operating system loaded, I guess I need HP drivers, etc... Does it mean that I have to get the disks from HP's Windows operating system or can I get it from Microsoft or Amazon and download the drivers from HP later?

Thanks to anyone who can help me here for advice! It will save me a LOT of time and money.

  • Cannot transfer images from digital Canon to Windows Vista. received message "save file not found" "Cameras Windows DC. default download folder is "my images".

I have been transferring pictures from my Canon Digital via the Canon software in a Windows "My pictures" file for about 2 years with great success.  Today, an attempt to transfer was interrupted with the message 'Save folder not found' "Cameras Windows DC.  I noticed that was missing the file "my images".  I added one, I reinstalled the Canon software, I tried to download the image using the "Windows Photo Gallery", but got the same message as above.  What can I do to be able to download the photos again?

Do you know when this problem started?  Try a system restore to a point in time BEFORE the problem started.  Here is the procedure: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/using-windows-vista-system-restore/.  Don't forget to check the box to show more than 5 days of restore points.  If the first attempt fails, then try an earlier point or two (he may have started before that you have noticed).  NOTE: You will need to re - install any software and updates that you have installed between now and the restore point, but you can use Windows Update for updates.

1 can't read on a Windows "upgrade version" which, in my experience, does NOT require you to format your drive... updated on what you have, without disturbing programs installed... at least that's what happened the ONLY time wherever I installed an upgrade version, so I can't give a 100% guarantee that it will work with your computer in this way... search link for all the things Microsoft http://search.microsoft.com/search.aspx?mkt=en-US&setlang=en-US

    Hello

Did you pay for Office (including Excel) in a packaging separated when you bought your computer?

Office is not included with your purchase of computer for free.

Most new computers come with a trial version of Office that lets 'x' number of days usuage.

After this test times out, you will have to buy Office.

And the product key on the computer case or laptop for the operating system, not for the desktop Suite.

  • Windows Vista does not recognize Canon digital camera

I have trouble getting Windows Vista to recognize my camera Canon Digital Rebel XT.  I did the following:

-Update the driver from the Canon - camera website appears in the 'Computer' window as an external hard drive
-Find the device in the Device Manager under imaging devices like Kiss_N_Rebel_XT EOS 350 d, click right, uninstalled, and turned off the camera.  Turned the camera back on and the drivers were would have been installed correctly.  The device still does not appear as a disk in the window 'computer '.

How can I access files on my camera?

    Thank you.

    Hello GDB8791,

Thank you for posting.  The only time where I can think about when a camera come in the 'Computer' window would be if it has a type of storage device that it contains.  For example, a flash drive or memory key/card.  Check if you have the storage card inserted in the camera.  You can also open the Photo Gallery and select Import to see if it will access the camera.
