Outbox of Windows Mail stuck

I have been using Windows Mail with 2 AOL accounts.  Recently, messages have been stuck in the Outbox with the following error message - error 10060 Socket error 0X800CCOE. I have @ 587 SMTP and POP3 @ 110.  Server Info: incoming mail: pop.aol.com; Outgoing:SMTP.AOL.com.  It seems to be an intermittent problem.  Please notify.  Thank you!

Ok. the fact that this is another error message appears:
Account: 'staff', server: 'pop.aol.com', Protocol: POP3, server response: '-ERR internal server error ', Port: 110, secure (SSL): no, Server error: 0x800CCC90, error number: 0x800CCC92

Here is the link showing how to set up AOL in Windows Mail. The link called Outlook Express. It's okay, Windows Mail uses the same settings as Outlook Express.

    In Windows Mail, go to select Tools, accounts, your account email, properties, connection.

    You should leave this setting not selected, in this case Windows Mail will use any connection IE uses.

"It has an attachment, but I can't open or access to this somehow." When I try and delete it, it just says: "an unknown error has occurred."

I can't delete it or send it.  When I try to do it I get an error message that says "an unknown error has occurred."  Given that this e-mail message is stuck in my Outbox I can't send messages. However, I can receive messages.  I got my email provider try to fix this problem, but they couldn't.  They said to contact Microsoft.

  • My windows mail is an e-mail 'stuck' in the Outbox. I can't send it and it doesn't let me remove it and it will not send any what other mail with it here?

    This has happened after that I tried to stop a send e-mail after I realized that I had added the bad attachemnts to e-mail address.  When I try to delete the email "blocked" it says that "an unknown error has occurred" and it won't delete.

    Check to work offline and see if it will remove. If it isn't...

    Simple solution... but when I didn't know what to do, he became a House of pain!
