Outlook Express spell checker language is the French

Outlook Express has been installed with the English language. Yesterday (29/10/2010, the spelling checker gave me the words only French.) Choose Options on the Tools tab normally would allow me to reselect English - BUT THE ONLY AVAILABLE LANGUAGE IS FRENCH. I don't see/understand how this would have changed. Any Solutions or Suggestions to get this reset to ENGLISH?

With Outlook Express, spell check is only in French and no option to choose English.
I'm not sure if OE is a Windows problem, but as stated in 'title' spelling is only in French, without the possibility to choose English.

Cannot change the language setting eventhough Internet Explorer and all of Microsoft Office have a setting to English (US). I don't want to go through Live Id.
Do not worry. You will not have the punishment of having to do anything about Windows Live. Outlook is the culprit.

Hello
I saw ths years ago and I think the solution is to install an Office language pack. If you do not have Office to do with I would say migration to Windows Live Mail (a component of Windows Live Essentials). It also has a junk e-mail filter.
In addition, there is another method, but use it at your own risk...
http://www.SnapFiles.com/downloads/spelloe/dlspelloe.html
If in case of doubt do a few Google searches first for people who have had side effects.
WRT to the installation of Office solution proposed previously, I think that it should be Office XP (2002), or earlier, but which might be incorrect because certainly Office 2007 is not out when I finally met, maybe even 2003 may not have been released!
Bruce Hagen here offers alternatives...
