  Thank you very much for your suggestions! They finally gave me the direction I go solve the problems I had. Basically, the Mac Book Pro based Lightroom irdata files still had thumbnails. Once I removed the and redirected Lightroom external hard disk, smart previews of the external drive work when the player is well off the MBP. Much obliged.

  I was wondering if you have any suggestions on how to backup all the files content and related data of Lightroom that exists on the external hard drive to another external hard drive as a backup? Ideally, it would be great if I could be able to launch security HD since the Mac Book Pro and do the work of Lightroom with the backup image files and intelligent previews correctly. Thanks again.   Steps to clear the Tmp folder:

  (1) right click on the Finder icon and select 'Go - To Folder' option.
  (2) you will get a text box, type in the following command and then press the 'return '.

  It will open the TMP file. Trash all the content inside.

  It seems to pay to use a vintage OS on an iMac vintage not knowing if it will work even ridiculous. I also own a MacBook Pro3, 1 (intel Core 2 Duo 2. 4 GHz, 4 GB) and I upgraded from the same version of the operating system: 10.5.8 directly in El Capitan and I didn't have to pay. I had however Apple Store that seems to make the software easier to access, but the operating system should be available for free download directly from Apple.   I use PS CC 2015 with the last update on a Mac Pro end of 2013 with double over-pants D500 with 3072 MB of memory in OS X El Capitan 10.11.1 and 10.11.2 beta 4, UI of the PS has frozen and the entire operating system became frozen after even the simplest operations:

  -Open a jpg file 6000 x 4000, resize to 2000 x 1333, then save as, UI has frozen.

  Before running PS CC on OS X El Capitan, I was running it on OS X Yosemite 10.10.5, PS CC has been fairly stable at the time.

  I noticed the name of the application, so I did a complete search on my system. The process named "sniffer" was "/ Applications / Adobe Photoshop 2015/Adobe Photoshop 2015.app/Contents/MacOS/sniffer CC CC. I ran into the Terminal utility, the OS immediately froze, I tried again and again, the problem was reproduced always.

  I've renamed to "sniffer.1" then ran CC PS, the problem was gone. I tried editing of large photos, dozens of filters applied, it has not caused any gel more.

  I checked the result of process sniffer, were the last few lines there:

  It seemed that program sniff tried detect all GPU possibilities, but had trouble trying to measure the bandwidth of the second GPU (single gpu of #0 bandwidth has been printed without gpu #1).

  I don't know what problem I after 'turning off' the problem of sniffer renaming. I think it's a fault of PS CC (it rans) fine in OS X Yosemite or Apple display card driver problem (I also ran FCP X, but never had any problems).

  Could someone in Adobe tell me what can I do then?

• How to synchronize the catalog between mac pro and imac?

  I recently bought a macbook pro to work on the road.

  Since I was a very big picture library (catalogue of 25 GB, + / 40000 photos), I enclose the keywords to make a nice database.

  It is a hell of a job. But with my laptop now I could kill time and I am working on my catalog everywhere. This is the big idea.

  I would like the same catalog to keep being synchronized between my imac and laptop. My Imac is still my main computer. This is attached to my NAS system and the database of photos of 6 TB.

  All the images are in a catalog. On my laptop I don't need access to this database of real images. I just want to make selections, add keywords. Is there some way this can be done easily, without paying attention to the rather, I'm working on my laptop or My Imac, to avoid disrupting the catalogues.

  When I import new images on my laptop, I make a new catalog and import/export this to my main catalog, once my files are on their place on my NAS system.

  What you describe is more or less how I work all the time. I use Dropbox to synchronize my catalog and use Smart Previews (also synced via Dropbox) to work with my images. I use a MacBook Pro on the go and a Windows machine at home. I created a video tutorial explaining how this is done:
