  In the schema click Instrument of e/s > VISA > VISA advanced > VISA find resources. This VI returns an array of strings. You can type cast the string in a resource VISA type.

  If you use aliases, it is immaterial that is the real address of GPIB, although I agree that it is generally a good idea to keep your testers configured the same way.

  What are you really want to do? There is no mechanism to populate the actual VISA Resource Name control with something else, the alias or canonical name. You can use strings as inputs for VISA works so as we already mentioned, you can find specific instruments by a * IDN? for all resources and then the analysis answers. Not sure if this is easier that just assign a significant alias (DMM, scope) to the instrument in the first place.

  Control of resources of e/s of VISA will show you all the com ports you have on your computer.

  So you just need to make 7 copies of that control and the value of each of them to another com port and use for each VISA entry and read the series of functions that you do.  (Have you looked in the example Finder to get examples of serial port?)

  I am trying to package a WebWorks on a Mac html application. I have installed ripple but packing doesn't seem to be an option in the menu of the ripple.

  When I try to run the program from the Terminal of the error:

  Twitter.PNG is the name of an image file referring to a link in my html file. What is the problem with this name?

  I tried this. But managed. I used the USB as my sugesstion to device.my USB is that you unplug your device at any point of your work. Check that the device is properly connected. IF your system has recognized your device, you can view the device in Control Panel > Device Manager > then open your particular device from the list of the connected device then details > description of the system > hardware ID > then you can find here the code from your provider.

  Try this. I think that your device is connected to loosen. What USB device you are using? Also, you must install THE DRIVER FOR YOUR USB DEVICE.

  outside the WCC configures a resource of visa. You can connect to an another vi where this is an entry.

  So yes, this name is a variable resource. You do not have to reopen, in fact, you only open once and use it when you need it.

  If in doubt, send the vi with the question.

  I develop test applications using the NI PXI-8431/8 serial interface card.  Because I do not have the hardware, I'm not sure how it will recognize in NOR-MAX, and given that (probably), it will use the generic functions of the series VISA, I can predict no special configuration option (no special driver).  Each of the 8 ports on the map series will appear in NOR-MAX as it is the name of the own resource of individual VISAS, or I have to find another way to tell the difference between channels/ports?  Please notify.
