p6510y: MediaSmart will not work

After the upgrade to Windows 10, HP MediaSmart stops working. For example: I click on 'photos' in mediasmart and the error code is the following:

"Cannot launch MediaSmart.

Possible reasons:

(1) your VGA driver would need an update

(2) it has not enough VRAM in your VGA card

(3) remote desktop in Windows XP is not allowed"

Recently, I installed a new hard drive, installed the installation CD provided CV factory for my p6510y and large all worked.

I've recently updated to 10 (64-bit) Windows and now I get this error with MediaSmart.

I have install all Windows updates automatically when they get to my pc.

I checked the video drivers via Glary Utilities and it said that all drivers are up-to-date.

Thank you for all the advice

Hello 888Paul:

Welcome to HP support. I'm sorry to inform you that your computer does not support Windows 10. Like my HP Touchsmart 600-1050-Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit computer. Please return back to windows 7. HP has not developed all the drivers to work with Windows 10 for our computers. They will never develop them. My computer was manufactured at the same time as yours was. They were made well before Windows 10 has even thought.

If HP has done to develop windows 10 drivers they would then be on your page to update computers more than direction on the upgrade to Windows given 10. Here's your link page of the HP computers Web site.

On the low left side. See more Option supported. This where HP it post to tell you if your computer can be upgraded to windows 8 or 10. In your case, neither one is displayed. This is why only Windows 7 drivers and software are provided. You need to check before you upgrade to Windows 10.

There is no solution for this error on Windows 10 that you face now other then reinstalling back to Windows 7, then down to load Windows 7 Pro or Ultimate to Windows 7 on your computer with out of harming computers drivers or HP software.  It is done by opening the upgrade of Windows any time and enter the product key not discs.

Sorry, you're not the only one who made this mistake too.  You're welcome frrw.
