  By any chance are you talking about the Dell Dock?  Here is the download: http://www.delldock.com/.  Here's where to find essentially the same:http://www.stardock.com/products/objectdock/.  I'm still not sure if Dell Dock is the right program (but it fits your description, and I've seen others where he is what they meant).

  I don't know how to retrieve it if it is missing.  Right-click on an open section of the tab bar and see if Dell Dock is listed as an option, on that you can return.

  Go to start / search box and type msconfig and click twice on the icon for the program that appears and see if you can find Dell Dock in the list of programs that start at startup - if its there and unchecked, check and it should reappear on the next reboot.

  Select start / all programs and see if there is no entry for the Dell Dock - If Yes, click on it and the toolbar should appear.

  This toolbar is not part of Vista, but rather something is added by the manufacturer of your system. This most often occurs with Dell systems with the delldock toolbar, see: http://www.delldock.com/ to download the tool again.

  It looks like the bar main toolbar is missing. If you open the window menu, you see an option 'See the main toolbar'?

  If this isn't the case, what happens if you create a new workspace?

  Not very in computing, so here: this morning, I had 2 toolbars or a toolbar of level 2 showing the icons and descriptive captions, I created some time ago.   Hold down the ALT key and then key type V and you should then be able to activate the toolbars from the menu.

• Windows Vista desktop missing toolbar

  I got a new computer with windows vista home premium edition.   There is a toolbar at the top of the desktop with shortcuts to IE. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, video, music, etc.    I touched something and now he disappeared.  I have tried looking online and as well help but impossible to find anything covering this.

I opened InDesign CS5 and the toolbar usually located on the left of my screen disappeared. This is the toolbar with the option to draw text box, etc. As much as I know I have not changed my settings. I pressed tab to see if something pops up without result. My screen resolution is too high that it will. I'm a newbie to InDesign and use for pretty basic purposes.
