Page size when converting TIFF to PDF

In my work I download documents to a Web site where you can only display and a save as TIFF images. Documents are scanned images of typewritten instruments filed with the County Clerk. When saving as TIFF, the documents are of varying sizes. After I have save as TIFF files, I convert to PDF using select (often multiple files at once), then right-click "convert to Adobe PDF. Files to convert to PDF without problem, except that they are of several different page sizes, depending on the size of the TIFF file.

I use Adobe Acrobat X Standard (Windows 7 on a PC). Is there a way to configure so when convert TIFF to pdf, it will come out as a standard page size, such as legal 8.5x14? I know I can convert and then printing using the Adobe PDF printer, but that just adds another step.

The answer would be different if I was using Acrobat X Pro or Acrobat XI? Thank you.

TIFF files with a size of page and the conversion to PDF, TIFF page size is used.

If you need to fix it in TIFF before the conversion or the PDF file after conversion. I think TIFF will be probably somewhere better, easier and less expensive to fix.

  • How to keep the correct margins/page size when you convert a Word 2010 PDF document?

I searched the Internet far and wide in order to understand why, when converting a Word 2010 document in PDF format in Windows 7 (via Adobe Distiller 9.5.5316), the top and bottom of the resulting PDF margins are automatically increased (which reduces the content on the page a bit) despite having consistently and everywhere the value paper A4 in Word 2010 and Adobe default PDF settings. It's almost as if distilling is stubbornly scaling the document to a different page size any of the parameters are specified.

I solved this problem in previous versions by simply unchecking scaling print in Microsoft Word or distill. "In Word 2010, do you this through: file-> Options-> advanced, and then clear the paper sizes 'Scale content for A4 or 8.5 x 11' setting ' in the Print section.

Today it is not so simple. I suspect that there is some chipping page or by default will sizing on but where and how to change it?

I have to say that the years of updates Adobe seems to have two different products Adobe for creating files PDF. the above mentioned distill as long as Adobe Acrobat Pro Extended-(v. 9.5.5). However, they use the same default settings of PDF from Adobe by specifying the format of A4 paper.

I think I have seen/inspected all of the parameters available to specify page sizes and scale - Adobe used to provide the add-in PDFMaker for Word, which manifested itself in a Word called "Acrobat" tab, and, we could see PDF settings, but this tab disappeared for a long time with a previous update to Acrobat. I tried to make this tab reappear in Word, but nothing helped.

I also confirmed the size settings for correct page for Brother printers both Adobe in the dialog Windows 7 "devices and printers".

The stones left to chance? Thank you.

Print scale is always an option in Acrobat. Adobe continue to change the name. Look closely. Looking for options like "fit to page".

  • How to remove the header and page number when converting to PDF

I am using Windows 7 and you have Acrobat 8.1 installed. When I right click on a .txt file and choose "Convert to Adobe PDF" in the context menu, it will save a pdf file in the same folder as my file with the same file name .txt. When I open the pdf file, there is a header with the file name and page numbers at the bottom.

How can I adjust the preferences to omit the header and page numbers? I have a click with the right button on the Adobe PDF printer in the control panel "Printers" and looked through properties and 'Adobe PDF settings' in the preferences, but don't find any options for headers and footers.

    Thanks in advance.

What you describe is based on the configuration of the running text editor.
Here, the configuration is such that the content described is part of what is migrated to the PDF file when the PDF is created.

Modify the appropriate configuration of the text editor and the created PDF will no longer spam.

    Example - using Notepad window:

Click path = file - layout

In the presented dialog box, you can adjust the configuration.

While Acrobat "PDFMaker" allows configure us the interactive "improvements" and others as in a file PDF created, it is always application configuration of creating files creation that sets the 'meat and potatoes' of the content of the PDF created.

  • How can I specify the Page size when exporting PDF in CS5?

    Hi all

I just upgraded to ID CS5 and I'm really impressed with the improvements. Of course, however, some aspects take a few adjustments that brings me to my question. How can I specify the size of the "printed" page when you export a PDF file? Basically, in CS4 I could set up a document to have, for example a page size of 20x20cm. I could then print it in PDF format and select a page A4 format. This meant that I could get my printer to print the document of 20 x 20 irregular size on a standard paper size and include benchmarks of crop etc. In CS5, I cannot get ID to export the pages that they are configured (i.e. 20x20cm).

I don't know I must be missing something obvious here, someone has any ideas?

I hope that I managed to explain my problem clearly enough and we hope to hear from someone soon. Thank you very much in advance for any help you can provide!

As a student of architecture, I'm pretty new to publication. My main need is for portfolio presentations and also my thesis work. So far, as mentioned earlier, before CS5 I was printing to / check-in PDF directly from ID without problem. For some reason any (and I stil have not thought to it yet) it seems the only way I can get the PDF of ID files is to create a Postscript file, open with Preview (I use a Mac) and then save as PDF.

Try file > report > Adobe PDF (Print)... to make a PDF file you can print from Acrobat or Reader. You will have several presets of your choice, or you can use your own options if you have settings that you prefer, which will make a PDF suitable for different types of printing scenarios. For digital output instead of a commercial press, a ggod preset choice would be of high quality printing, but you can even use the same jopoptions or settings file you were using to print directly to PDF in the past.

  • The size of my document in In Design print in a different size when I export to PDF

I made a document in In Design, which is 7x9.25' and it prints in the correct size when I print from In Design.  But when I export to PDF in Acrobat DC it prints more.  It prints to 8.5 x 11.  When I cut along the outline of the document, printing In Design is the exact size I want, but leave the PDF file, even after I cut along the outline, it is too much.  Is there a setting that I need to use in In Design before exporting to PDF print to the exact size that I created it in In Design?

    Thanks for your help!

    Angie

In Acrobat, place your cursor in the lower left corner of the screen and it will show you what your document is about the size. If the size of the document is correct, then I guess that when you print from Acrobat, which you 'Fit' selected under Page size and handling in the print dialog box. Make sure that 'real size' is chosen, and which should print in the right size.

Don't know if anyone else has this problem that just started today.  I have about 8 JPG photos taken at 640 x 480 resolution (approx. total 654ko) I'm trying to "combine the files supported in Acrobat.  The program will take care of the dialog box to reorder the files, change the size of the output file, etc., but once I click on "Combine files" the 'status' stops to "convert...". "and throws the below error.  I also tried "drag and drop" files in an existing PDF, with the same result.  I have not had this problem before and usually perform this operation without any problem.  Can anyone shed light on what could happen here?  Oh yes, I use Windows 7 (64 - bit). • Get bookmark evil levels when converting Word to PDF with Acrobat 7.0

I am using MS Word 2003, Windows XP and Adobe Acrobat 7.0.

When you convert a DOC to PDF, all the features are perfect except bookmarks are located at the level of evil, that is, the first chapter 'Introduction' is the first level, that is desired; but the second chapter and later versions will be placed as the subelements of the first. It is a serious problem for me because I need a very precise conversion.

P.S. I upgraded the convertion of properly before bookmarks in the conversion.

So I wonder If there is a solution of parameters of Word or Acrobat.

I use Acrobat 7 because the versions(8.0 etc.) later has the running header problem. If 7.0 is also problematic. I don't know what version can do a perfect conversion.

I agree with Lori, it seems that you do not use bookmarks in WORD correctly I read his post. I also noticed that you show 7.0. These early versions often have bugs, and you need to update to the latest version of 7, currently 7.1.4. I would say the same update for AA8 namely 8.3.1.

  • Keep the multiple page layout when exporting as a PDF

I created a presentation of several page, I would like to export them to PDF while keeping several page display so that the customer can easily understand how it will look. It currently exports to single pages rather than the 3 beautiful spread I created the page.

It seems in fact that there is no need to be created as facing pages, as long as you have the doc configured not to mix and you drag the pages together into a single unit. Check the "Spreads" box in the export dialog box.
