• Problem with the page using the not substituted VO

  I expanded the view object AbsenceSummaryVO of the/oracle/apps/per/selfservice/mgrviews/webui/ManagerViewsPG of the page. I created a new view object that extends the object from view of AbsenceSummaryVO, it contains a few added columns.
  
  These added through customization, I added to the tab of the absence of columns. The only problem is... that they are not fulfilled. It seems that Oracle ignores the request to be executed instead of the old one (old data appears perfectly). One of the current columns also changing a value hardcoded still looks like the old value (data base).
  
  
  
  When I look in the MDS repository, I can see the substitution is deployed, remove also the XML necessary for replacement of the filesystem is Oracle generates an error.

  When I look at the page on the business components used, I see the substituted object seen used. However it does not appear in the substitute for the table column, but in a 'normal' line The original view object (AbsenceSummaryVO) is missing from this list. I find it rather strange.

  Patrick,

  You must extend AbsSupHrchyVO instead of AbsenceSummaryVO.
  Although this page mentions that AbsenceSummaryVO is used for the columns it ignores changes to this VO.
  I expanded AbsSupHrchyVO on a test instance and added a few custom columns and they appear in the Absence sub-tab (/ oracle/apps/by/self-service/mgrviews/webui/AbsSupHrchyRN) now.

  When a page is loading everything first, everything seems fine. But if I need to scroll down, the new area has revealed is almost always corrupted to the point that I can't read. Reload the page clears the problem. If I then scroll back to the top of the page, its corrupt.

  This happens every night in Firefox. When I go in Firefox, version 32-bit, everything is fine.

  You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

  • Tools > Options > advanced > General > Browsing: "use hardware acceleration when available.

  You must close and restart Firefox after enabling/disabling this setting.

• Firefox 8 is slow to display the web page in the application. If I hilite the address in the URL address line it usually downloads the info immediately. I find that it becomes slowers over time.

  I just went back to 3.6.8. Guess what - no problem. Someone has messed with Firefox after 3.6.8. If you can't fix the problems and may have security with 3.6.8 problems so that we may have to go back to IE (shudder). As it is, Firefox 8.0.1 is not feasible and is toast for me until fixed.

  I have the text of the "Table of contents" on this new added page 2 what is the white page I inserted.

  When I export to ADE, this text of the Table is the LAST page in the ePub.

  Someone suggested that it may have to do withh how my text boxes are connected.

  Thank you Naomi and Kai.  I applied the techniques you shared, but figured out something when I got stuck.

  I thought a work around which in fact gas sense teach but intuitively, I think it is should be easy to PAGEs VIRGINS of INSERT in the middle of an .indd and easily put ON these new images to those who are above and below using the IN PORT and OUT PORT.

  You say that your computer is slow, but all of the examples you give are rather than slow computer operations slow network communications.  To avoid any unnecessary work, check how fast the computer is on the tasks that don't use any network.

  If it works fine for tasks not network then you can concentrate on the problems of network as being the only concern.

  It has also become very slow for no network tasks you should study other causes.  Just as an example: If, like me, you sleep / turn off the computer when you are not using it then defrag will never work, so you can run it manually to make sure that doesn't cause problems.   Describe your symptoms in this thread so that someone can advise on the best course of action.

• Cannot setParent to a page after the call to resetScene

  Previously, I put a Page as the scene. If I try to reset it, then set the stage with a TabbedPane then it works fine. But if I want to reset the stage and then you want to define it is parent to null and then delete then I get exception while affecting the null parent or another object. Why its happening?

  If the Page is administered by the Application, I suspect that resetScene() it suppresses contrary the docs.

  This seems logical, because the docs of setScene say that the previous scene is deleted if it is owned by the Application. I don't see why resetScene() would work the same:

  So, it seems like it after a call to resetScene() as the old pane no longer exists.

  'pane' become not NULL because it is just a local variable that contains an address, resetScene() can not change it.

  Yes, you can display a third page, usually by calling the navigationPane.pushPage function, for example in your button onClicked method.

  Hi Rita,.

  Assuming you are using Internet Explorer (IE) try this:
  • Open IE and go to the site that you want to display as you normally would.
  • Look in the upper right, next to the red X, there is a button that looks like two boxes in front of the other - it's restore down. Click on it and your IE window should shrink.
  • You can change the size of this window by pointing the mouse on the edges until it becomes double ended arrow, and then clicking on, now and making drag and drop your window screen by clicking on, hold and drag in the top bar.
  • Once you have it where you want that it and the size that you want, click on FILE > new window, or press CTRL + N.
  • This will open a new window of the same size on the same Web page, which you can then drag it where you want.
  • Repeat until you have enough windows IE open to do what you need.
  • When you are finished, right-click on the stack of icons of EI on the toolbar at the bottom and click "close all windows".

  If you use Chrome, it's more or less the same. MENU > new window or CTRL + N
  Have fun!

  Choose lists (and other controls LOV) used in this way are called 'cascading LOVs. Their use is described in the documentation.

  Define airport LOV properties items In cascade LOV article Parent (s) name of the element in the country. Reference this value in the LOV query using bind variables syntax. The Items property of the Page to send can be used to introduce other values of the child depends on LOV.

  Sorry, I am typing in a hurry. Ignore any suggestion not detailed.

  You should find a file named epm.conf. He's looking for your hyperion-bpma-server URI. See if he has the correct port. Usually it turns into SSL port even if your IIS is not over SSL.
