Pages of the Drag Queens horribly with follow-up on. Any ideas?

Lately so that editing of the manuscripts of 50 k and 100 k in particular, I noticed that Pages turn followed slows to a crawl. She seems to write to disk after each keystroke keyboard. That made me hesitate to use the tracking feature, but I need when I'm handwritten edition of the client.

Everyone has noticed this and if so, is there a known solution?

No, just checked and I did not have this problem. I'm on Pages 5.2.2 which, of course, is not the most recent.

Is the only application that is slow when it is the case of Pages? If this is not the case, the computer needs more memory. There is a simple way to know if the memory is in this case:

  • Open the activity monitor (Spotlight search for it using the magnifying glass at the top on the right).
  • Click the memory tab.
  • Compare the number of physical memory the memory used. Physical memory is likely to 2, 4 or 8 GB and is used by the applications running. If it is full, content of memory must be 'Pagé' on the hard drive, which is a relatively slow process. Some Macs have expandable memory.

Which edition of Pages are you running? Go to Pages > on the Pages above to the left.
