PageSize CS3 default

Is it possible to change pagesize a4 for the preset of default document?

I am able to change to another preset document:

myDocumentPreset = app.documentPresets.item ("myDocumentPreset");
{with (myDocumentPreset)}
pageSize = "A4."
}

but it fails when I try to do it by using the default document preset. Or is it possible to change the

by default, preset at myDocumentPreset?

Some background info: in our environment the %APPDATA%\Adobe folder is excluded from the

Roaming profile for all the default return values (letter to pagesize) each session.

Thanks in advance.

Martin.

Hey!

Try this:

myDocumentPreset = app.documentPresets.item (0);
{with (myDocumentPreset)}
pageSize = "A4."
pageWidth = "210mm;
pageHeight = "297mm;
}

Point 0 is part of [Default] document presets.

If you want to set the size of the customized document, use of second and third line...

    The only way to do a mac recognize CS3 as default would be to completely remove the CS4.

    In OSX new version prevails over the older versions. However, you can have two files of free fall apps you know on the CS3 cs3 anchor icon or an Alias on your desktop. CS3 does not save as CS4 it is just that the operating system makes all the files ID looks like the most recent version.

  • ID CS3 - default scripts doesn't work not, error

    Try using scripts by default 'LabelGraphics.jsx' & 'CropMarks.jsx '.

    Have also tried to use the applescript equality in the menu scripts.

    In all cases, nothing happens. No message, no script activity seen.

    Some other scripts such as "AddGuides.jsx" work very well.

    Copied scripts to work from another machine and get the same result.

    What prevents these scripts to work and any ideas on how to fix it?

    Thank you

    They do nothing, or to display a message and * then * do nothing?

    The two scripts you mention you need to have something selected.

    Labelgraphics in you requires to have a selected (imported) image; It displays a dialog box requesting that call them to add, and then do so.

    Cropmarks requires you have any selection. It then displays a dialog box, asking what kind of brands, it must attract where around your selection.

    As the two scripts display a warning clear when you have nothing selected, I guess an another script removes all the dialog boxes and does not restore this setting. (It is a usual thing to remove own ID warnings and confirmations, but it is considered polite to restore the settings later.)

    Copy the following line into an empty text file and record under the name "restoreDialogs.jsx" in the scripts folder. You can find the right folder to save in law (or frame) by clicking on the folder of the user in the script palette and selecting 'reveal in Finder/Explorer. Run the script for reposting of the dialog box and test the scripts again.

    app.scriptPreferences.userInteractionLevel = UserInteractionLevels.INTERACT_WITH_ALL;

  • Change the default font in ID CS3

    Is it possible to change the default font in ID CS3? Whenever I have created a new document I should change the font "Times" default to my favorite police. I searched in vain a few settings allow this change - or should I just resign myself to the process of creating new styles of type and clause for each new document? Looks like I should be able to copy styles from one document to another (or something?).

    No documents open, change it to what you want.

  • Size of the icons by default layers? (CS3)

    I use Illy more and more (yay!) and I went from really loving the small icons in the layers panel, to love more important.

    Is there a way to set a 'default' size for these? The "ol"create open without a doc, the change, then close"does not work because you can access the Panel of layers with no open doc.

    It's probably something simple, right?

    Ok. You should sleep on it.

    Since this is a per-document setting, I feel you can set and keep it in a new document profile, even if it is not listed as one of the parameters in the following article:

  • By default "black" shows that 4 color black?  [InDesign CS3/Mac OS 10.6.8]

    Hello

    I have a file returned by my printer, claiming that the black text is all together as 4-color black.

    When I check the palette text color chart is ready to the default InDesign black (100 k).

    However, when I view the separations Preview Panel that the text appears as a 4-color black.

    If I copy and paste this text box into a new text document appears only as a black (under the separations preview).

    If I copy and paste a block of text in 1 color black of a new document in the odd text document comes as 4-color black (under the separations preview).

    I tried all the preferences of black color in InDesign. Have not found a solution here.

    Am I missing one setting somewhere else?

    Something is damaged?

    The document contains transparency somewhere on the Page and the merger of transparency of Document Workspace is set to RGB.

    Edition > merger of transparencies space > Document CMYK

    I'm not surprised that your printer took to it.

  • Change default code in the "Create a new" page HTML for CS3

    When I open dreamweaver and go to file > new > Virgin Page > HTML, the code that appears when opening the page is not what I want. For example, I would change the DOCTYPE XHTML 1.0 strict (of transition).

    Is there a way I can enter for the backend of this program and modify the code so I don't have to do it manually every time I open an empty html page in DW? Or can I make my own and then make my default html page code?

    Thank you

    Luke

    When you choose FILE > new, you will see a button at the bottom of the interface preferences.  A click on that and you can choose how the 'new page' display when you open a new document.

  • InDesign CS4 is not available by default programs dialog box

  • Installation of Photoshop on CS3

    I am trying to install my CS3 on my new computer with Windows 7. The computer that I had previously had Windows Vista, I've upgraded to Windows 7, and it worked perfectly fine. Now my new computer has Windows 7 and it will not be installed. When I insert the disc, I click on install and he goes to the bar to initialize Photoshop CS3 and will be completely finished, is that it will, nothing else happens. I'm desperate for help! I can't afford the new version of Photoshop, and need this program as soon as POSSIBLE! Help please!

    Well, it is certified compatible:
    http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/compatibility/Windows-7/en-us/details.aspx?type=software&p=Adobe+Photoshop+CS3+Extended&v=Adobe&UID=&l=en&pf=0&PI=4&c=graphics+%26+printing&SC=image+editing&OS=32-bit

    Try pointing to the installation files.
    Right-click on the configuration file, and then click Run as administrator.

    If this does not work, try using compatibility mode:

  • Picture moves when you preview in a browser (was: DW CS3 question)

    When you attempt to place an image in a page in DW CS3 and try to view the online placement, even if the positioning is correct using firefox, the image moves to the top of the page when you use safari.

    Any comments?

    You do not have a page printed on a typewriter.  It is a web page.  Do not use the key entry as a layout device.  It does not work.  It is same for the space bar and tab keys.   Not good.

    Learn to use CSS margins and padding to align items if you wish.  In very rare situations, you may need to use a little CSS positioning, too.  But it must be done with care.

    Also remember that all browsers add their own default margins and padding to HTML elements.  This results in the change in browser.  You can use a CSS Reset to remove the margins by default & fill if necessary.  But these effects each element on your page.

    * {margin: 0; padding: 0}

  • How to connect SFTP server using Dreamweaver CS3

    Need to put in place a new server - new (forced on me) host insists on International port722.  Using DW CS3 - I can do it somehow?

    Tried to manage sites - change etc.  Could not find a way. Have now no remote server after 6 years old use.

    This image is correct. To enable SFTP in Dreamweaver CS3, select the check box use Secure FTP (SFTP). This disables the other options: use the passive FTP mode, transfer mode using IPv6, Use Firewall, firewall settings and server compatibility.

    But, and this is a big...

    There is no field to specify the port number. The default port for SFTP is 22, not 722. 722, if necessary, I don't think that there is a way to do with DW CS3.
