I have a long neglected M515 that is unresponsive. I stop using it to 2004 and need to get some data stored on it. Any Suggestions?
"Not responding" as in "Dead, not anything clear, screen" or "do not answer - screen, but no response to the stylus?
If the first case, the battery may be dead and you need a new. Many Web sites sell batteries and offer repairs. DirectFix.com is an example. It looks like it recharges when it is placed in the cradle? Everything lights up at all?
If the latter, then you can have a wedgie 'screen '. Check if a grain is caught between the screen itself and the frame bezel surrounding the screen. Use a slice of a card to hunt out.
BTW, since the m515 uses 'Volatile RAM' for storing data, if the load is exhausted, then the data is removed. Nothing can bring back.
