  I'm trying to find the relationship between the number of files in a tablespace and the degree of parallelism. because of the number of files in a tablespace effect dop in parallel query. because if several files are in the tablespace/o of the system has increased and the system became more feverable for a query parallel.
  
  But I looked in the dop formulas I can't find any settings that specify how the file is there in a tablespace. Please give me the formula for calculting dop in oracle.

  Hi Nick,

  It is not easy to determine the optimum degree of parallelism for the tasks of the Oracle.

  Oracle says that the best degree of parallelism for a query is based on several factors. These factors are presented in order of importance:

  -The number of processors on the server.

  -The number of physical disks located in the tables.

  -For parallelization of the partition, the number of partitions that will be available, based on the size of partition (if any).

  I can't find any settings that specify how the file is there in a tablespace.

  This is the number of physical spindles that matters, is not at the level of the tablespace.

  If I have diploma = 8, cpu_count = 8 and data are on 8 discs, there is no pretense.

  It's one of the problems with big great drives today, too few concurrency...

  Below, I have attached a sample program that implements something similar.  It uses a structure of the event to listen to when trigger and records and image while performing a grab IMAQdx.  I'm not sure if you try to extract the KING, however, you should be able to change the structure of the event to perform processing on the image instead of save to file.  If you are looking to extract a return on investment, I recommend that you look at from Example.vi which comes with the Vision Development module.  "" "" You can find by going on Help "find examples... then navigate to Modules and Toolkits ' Vision ' functions ' Example.vi extracted.  It uses a node to invoke to get a last event to listen to when a KING is placed then passes the IMAQ Image extract.  For your application, you could implement something similar to my attachment.  Have one end grasping images then place the node to invoke to get a last event to display the images in a parallel loop to perform the extraction of KING and post-processing.  Probably, you wouldn't need a structure for this event.  Notice a 2nd IMAQ Create.VI is used in both examples to create a space of memory to hold the image of treatment/record.

  If you want to programmatically return on investment to the whole image set, it may be easier to simply identify the KING with the help of a property node and just pass the image as usual for post-processing.  Treatment that you ever want to performwill automatically be applied to the entire image.

  Thomasc11484006 have you tried to run the uninstall program Adobe Creative Cloud desktop application and then put it back?  Instructions and the uninstall program can be found at code error 2 or 50: Creative Cloud desktop application update doesn't have.  You can then reinstall the application using the steps listed in download and install Adobe Creative cloud appscreative cloud.  We invite you to update this discussion if you have any questions about the steps that are listed in each document.

  How many parallel processes you need, it's something you can figure out to run the tests against your db, but if you have parallel set to N, then you have at least N dump files in order to use fully all parallel threads spawned. We take backups using parallel = 6 and dumpfile is normally set to dumpfile=dbname.%u.dmp where oracle expands %u necessary if you do not explicitly list individual files.

• Fusion and Parallels on the same computer?

  A few months ago, I went from Fuiosn 3.0 to Parallels 5 mainly to see if Parallels would be faster on my iMac (it was).  I like parallel, but all-in-all, I liked the Fusion experience, better, I used a little unity and Fusion felt less intrusive on Mac.  So finally my question: is it possible to install Parallels and Fusion on the same machine, without a lot of interference between them, since they have both fact their integration with MAC OS X.  I do not really want to run them at the same time, but just have both installed, so I can try one and then the other.  I'm guessing it's something stupid and prone to problems, but I wanted to see if anyone else had tried, and what has been their experience.

  I tried to search but the only things I found were in 2007 and 2008.

  I have two Parallels and VMware Fusion installed on my MacBook Pro and have no problem having both installed at the same time however I have not run them at the same time, neither do I.

• Process creates the CPU to overheat and the Fans to run like crazy:

  I am ripping DVDs on different Macbook cradle fully aware that it's requiring treatment.

  I noticed that too much work with other programs or is running only a few programs at the same time seem to heat from the processor and the fans make some noise + cpu run hot with my MBpro 2011 and El Capitan.

  It is possible to restrict a program that use a large part of the resources to avoid overheating?

  Well a Late 2008 Macbook Pro has a intel core 2 duo, so the max he could run is 200% (2 CPUs time 100%) if the application can do enough on 2 processors in parallel.

  Your 2011 Macbook Pro has very probably a 4 core CPU intel i7 with hyper-threading.  If an application can use hyper-fils, there is a potential of 800% max.  The 330% could just be that the DVD cannot keep up with the CPU, so it does not hit its maximum potential because of the famine of data.

  I don't know if the speed of the DVD drive in 2008 was the same as the 2011.  If the 2011 is able to read data more quickly than the 2008, then it can provide given the CPU faster, keep the much busier CPU so it can consume more power, and more power consumption more than the heat generated.

  MacBook pro 2011 ends a DVD in less time than the 2008?

  Basically, you are trying to compare 'Granny Smith' vs 'Golden Delicious' apples and expects the same taste.

  Regarding the other programs, put this SSD in your Macbook Pro means that any code or data that the application needs to get the disc are convinced order or magnitude faster, so that the application did not slow the CPU and keep crank, causing the CPU to keep them busy and thus attract more power, which is converted into heat causing fans to run.

  It is also possible that your SSD generates more heat.  Solid State does not always mean longer running costs.  Much would depend on the brand and the model of the SSD and it is the power profile, and it draws more power for writing vs readings, and how much nature more expensive power you're done.

  Information point.  I put an SSD in my 2009 27 "iMac and it works more hot because my iMac can do more in less time.  I put an SSD in my Macbook Pro 2011 and if I ask him to do a lot of work, like backups, it starts its fans, as the SSD is always quick to provide data for backup, there is no waiting for the discs, leaving the lower idle CPU.

  There is a large performance difference and energy consumption.  Look at this comparison.

  The 420 is a narrow card requiring only a single slot where the 450 is a map more wide which will cover the next adjacent location.  Look at the diagram for the motherboard of your PC. The GTS 450 requires a PCI-E power connector 6 pins provide the extra power for the card.

  Open your PC and a few measurement in parallel with the PCI-E x 16 slot to see how long of a video card will fit. The adjacent slot on the PCI-E x 16 slot must be vacant.  Look for a PCI-E power connector 6-pin.

  Of after a suggestion of a more experienced colleague, I was going to have an another while loop for each type of module running in parallel from my main program.  For loops, I do a "Create Channel" and then "Start Task" as a setting the clock before entering all loop.  I started to do that with the switch float (DI) and the 1 loop for each fo relay cards (DO) and then 1 loop for the 7 thermocouples (HAVE).  That all ran fine with values update as needed and I could control all relays.  When I then added the next loop to read in pressure sensors, I get an error in 'Start the task' for loop making the entrance of thermocouple, saying that the resource is reserved.  I don't know what is the cause, the task name is unique to each loop and that they acquire signals from different modules.  My method works?  Do I need to have just a single loop for all modules?  I don't know how I would do a loop when I have so many different types of data.  I can add screenshots later if needed, I'm not near this workstation currently and it is not connected to the internet.

  Just for the record, the knowledge base does not call to 'Create a task DAQmx' explicitly as the first 'Create channel XX.vi' will implicitly do it for him.

Next main action, I have the user turn on power supply and confirm with a popup message. My question is now, I need to create a new thread before action "light food" for the oscilloscope intercepts all overloads and continues to record. So if this is the case, what I'm trying to do is:

  Our company is looking to use the sbRIO-9601 in an OEM application and I had two technical questions on the Board of Directors.

  (1) are the functions VISA support?  I saw there an RS232 port, I want to just make sure I can read/write easily out of it using prebuilt VI rather than do all the level low and starting from scratch.

  (2) we will be reading and writing of simple commands to a device coupled via the RS232 interface and based on the response, illuminating an LED controlled by the Board of Directors.  I have not selected any led and hoped that neither could provide some clarification on the limits of the power provided in the sbRIO-9601 user guide.  We will use the 3.3V output... I should put a resistor in line current limiting or I can put the diode directly between the output pin and the digital ground?  Us can drive more than 15 LEDs, however, we will never more than 3 see on at any given time.  I saw in the 3.3V section i/o of the documentation that the current max tested per channel is 3mA... but bus total is 330mA.  Is there a limit to how much we can provide each channel as long as we remain under the 330mA all together?

  Hi leachdor,

  (1) VISA functions are supported for the RS232 port on the sbRIO, so do not do any level low programming for them.

  (2) the maximum that we specify channel 3 is my.  You can combine several channels in parallel to increase this output up to 330 mA for the total bus.  Since you're only driving 15 LEDs and there are 110 channels of output, you should be able to combine some led.
