If you have already tried the updates, you can check with the manufacturer about the settings that you need.

  Change the height of your image in MAX will not increase the rate of your acquisition - the camera always sends the same number of lines per image, you said just the software to stop their playing earlier.  The following image still occurs until the next edge FVAL.

  1 x at the bottom tells you view the image at 1 x magnification.  In MAX, you can zoom in and out, and this indicator lets you know your current zoom level.
