Parental control folder?

I have more than 10 users of child on a single pc, each has their own account, so they will not interfere with each other work.  Parental control is on their highest setting and I unlock sites because they are necessary, I can access where the unlocked sites are stored on my machine to copy to other accounts that I'm sure you can imagine the release of google or a game site upward of 10 times a day is a waste of time and more than a little frustrating.  I am very satisfied with how Windows protects children in my care, but I would like a way to unlock apropriate sites for all users at once.

Thank you for your time

Steve

Hi wkd200uk,

To set parental controls for user accounts, you must manually set the parental controls for each account, there is no possibility to do the same for any user account at a time.

  • I set up the new user on my MacBook Pro with the parental control, and I want to allow access to Word, Excel, PowerPoint for Mac.  I have those checked in the dialog box list, but they may not appear in its applications. Am I missing something?

I set up a 'user' for my son and use parental controls.  I want to him to have access to Word for Mac, and it appears in the list of applications I can check to allow use for.  However, when we opened a session under his username, these applications do not seem to be anywhere.  When you configure new users, applications such as Word for Mac or the available Pages on users?  I can't find any information to help in this regard.  I don't know if I'm missing something under user put up, or parental controls, or both.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

These requests should be made available, provided you installed then in the folder/applications, not in a private folder ~/Applications for a specific user.

  • Standard user changes time clock to circumvent the time limits set in the parental controls, how to stop this?

    Original title: clock change

I put deadlines for my daughter in the parental control. my daughter just changed the clock time to get around this. It has a standard user account and I have the password to the administrator account, which she could not possibly know that I keep changing. How does do and how can I stop this happening?

The date and time system can be changed using a control panel applet - timedate.cpl file.

If you have the administrator account, you can refuse his user account access to the said folder.

    1. go to start > type cmd > press and hold shift + Enter (this will open CMD with Admin Access)
    2. on your type CMD in the command below

    Cacls timedate.cpl /p : n

    3. press ENTER.

The command will refuse access to user account in the file so that it could not change the time and date.

  • Parental controls stopped opening in Windows Vista

Parental controls are still working on the account of my children; However, when I'm in my (Administrator) account and click on the Parental control, either from the shortcut or the Control Panel, it suddenly stopped opening anything.  I searched the hard drive for the file and it seems to always be there.  KLexington

    Hello

I would like to ask you a few questions in order to get a better understanding of this issue, so we can better help not only you but other users with similar problems.

    1. what happens when you try to open the parental controls?

    Method 1:

(You can copy in the window by right click cmd, select brand, then left click and drag to select text.) Press the right mouse button to copy the selected text).

Repeat this operation for the 64-bit folder by running dir %systemroot%\syswow64\wpc*

  • I am able to view a complete history of the internet in under parental controls activity report?

Under parental controls, it is said that I can get an activity report of what is happening online. It always show me what was seen even if they were deleted from history in the toolbar? Also, I tried to look at a cookie, but it says access denied. How to change that?

    Hi jillwilliamson,

You run the computer as an administrator?

You should be able to view the top of the page recently\visited of ten Web pages by the user who has the parent control applied even if they have deleted browsing history.

Cookie file is hidden, to be more precise, that is a junction point that points to the folder that is accessible to the user C:\Users\-\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Cookies

  • Why is forgetful of Parental control?

Why Parental controls (often, not always) forget and do not take account of my settings?

I have, for example, deselected some apps, but when my daughter logs in to his account on our MBP she gains unfettered access.

Is there a sequence in which the parameters must be defined? What I am doing wrong?

    Hi CreativeSmith,

I understand that you are experiencing some problems with getting the parental controls and Restrictions work correctly on your Mac running macOS Sierra. Please take a look at the links below to verify that you have the Parental control configuration correctly.

macOS Sierra: set up parental controls

Please use the Apple Support communities to post your question. This should have the Parental control to function as it should.

  • Siri is disabled by the Parental control on macOS Sierra admin account

I just installed macOS Sierra today on my 13 "Mac Book Pro (early 2011). I have only one user account that is an administrator account. Siri is not enabled on my machine. When I go to the Siri system preferences screen, it says that "Siri is disabled by Parental control. Hmmm, when I check the Parental control screen, it says "you logged in using an administrator account." You can only apply parental controls to accounts that are not administrator accounts. »

    What happens here?

Same problem here. Updated for Sierra of El Capitan on MacBookPro 15 "(mid - 2014).

Even if I toggle the checkbox on the Parental control > others > disable Siri & dictation I can't activate Siri, the checkox is always gray and the alert says "Siri is disabled by Parental control.

Siri is enabled if I login as a burst, but I need it on my Admin account of course. Very annoying.

  • Parental Controls 10.6.8 - not allowing specified websites

Hello!  I set up parental controls to 'Allow access only to those sites' and the system is blocking some Web sites, I have authorized (e.g., khanacademy.org and weather.com).  How is it?  Is it possible to fix it?

    Thank you

    Dawn

Weather.com is stuffed with ads, and probably blocking is due to advertising websites on their site.  Go to http://www.weather.gov which is much more accurate and no advertising.

  • Parental control for iphone zone

I have parental controls on my iphones of teenagers. I can also set the AT & T data time limits. Adolescents simply change the time zone of the iphone so they can walk using data when they aren't supposed to.

How can I prevent adolescents to change the time zone on their phones?

    Soccer Mom

You can not. The time zone on the phone setting should not have anything to do with AT & T cellular data limits. Those based on time on the cell towers. Contact AT & T

Or just take the phone away from them if they can't be trusted to follow the rules.

  • How can I reset an admin password used for Parental control?

6 months ago, I found my daughter was using his mac laptop for reasons of distracting and I decided to install parental control.  I used a password specific to do on his laptop computer.  She has since learned his lesson and now has some access to the school.  I forgot the password.  How can I reset?

    -Jason

Do you mean you forgot all the passwords for administrative accounts for Mac?

All you have to do is to go into System Preferences > Parental controls and click on the padlock in the lower left and admin user and password and then click on the device in the lower left corner and disable Parental control for the selected user

  • Parental control & YouTube

I turned on parental controls, and all of a sudden my Youtube app is gone, is anyway to prevent this app to disappear? I tried to allow youtube.com in the Web sites section to allow restrictions, but that did not help. Any ideas?

The app is rated 17 +, so if you want to restrict apps it be hidden – the only way to stop that is not to restrict apps (which allows to youtube.com as a website will allow it on Safari, it won't unlock the app)

My child is send and receive the iMessages someone that I do not agree.  How can I block this person in a way that can not unlock my child?  I'm not completely disable iMessage.

I don't know if there is a way to do it through parental controls... If so I have not found. But if you have AT & T, you can buy the Smart limits plan for $5 per month and restrict by here. That's what I do with my son. It also allows me to cut its data from somewhere else if I remove his phone privileges (although wifi is still out of my reach)

  • Issues related to the parental control

When you try to view the content on Apple TV apps, you may consider some episodes. He said that you are not allowed to view this content. Set parental controls. We have not enabled our parental control; all restrictions are disabled. Any thoughts?

    Restart your Apple TV.

To restart your Apple TV (4th generation), go to settings > system > restart.

For Apple TV (3rd generation and earlier versions), go to settings > general > restart.
