• How to bind the text blocks between pages?

  I searched all autour for this, and I'm guessing that the answer could be so simple that no tutorial it doesn't even mention:

  How can I link the blocks of text between pages? I made a block of text in each master page and then connected one left with the one on the right. Indeed, all of the text in the document is linked from the page on the left of the right-hand page. But how do I link the page on the right with the following two pages 'below' in the document?

  If I'm not clear, here is another attempt to explain: I'm going to insert a lot of text in a document, and I already know the size and the type of text block, I want the text inserted. When I put the text in the left side, it connects (goes on) the block of text on the right side. But it stops there. So I have to manaully through both pages, which connects the right page "at the top" with the left 'below', page by clicking on the image by clicking on the small arrow in the lower right corner, and clicking on the next page below. There must be a way to organize it in master pages or in some other way?

  Two things...

  For "automatic formatting" to work with Captain linked frames page, you must NOT release the Master frame before placing the text, and you must click inside the image area, not any sort of guide.

• How to get the text block, given anchor (~ a)

  The marker "anchor" is a character of "simple".

  So you can do the following if you have identified the character (and in this example selected it):

  You can set the myCharacter variable differently, if you know the index of the character according to his history of parent.

• Resizing text blocks and picture containers question

  I upgraded to InDesign CS6 yesterday and I am having some problems of workflow with the way InDesign handles resizing of the blocks of text and picture containers.

  In CS5.5 (and all other versions of InDesign, I used) when I resize a text block with overset text, I pull the lower handle down, I can see the text dynamically arise as the box grows. Also, with photo containers containing an image more large that part, as I pull the handle of the frame I can see the image by filling the space as it grows.

  In CS6 I see not overset text or picture box extra until I have let go of the handle. Is there a setting I can change to make it behave more like all the other versions of InDesign?

  What you see depends on how you should live screen drawing set in your preferences. Try clicking and holding then wait a while before you start to drag.

• How can I hide parts of a text

  I do the layout on a booklet that is printed and sold. I also want to put on our Web site in pdf format, so people can get a good idea of what it is, but of course they should not be able to read all this. To this end, I created a new layer and use the rectangle tool in InDesign to cover the parts of the text, before I export this pdf file.

  And the text is well covered in the pdf file, but if you use the text tool, you can make a copy of the hidden text and paste it into Word.

  IN Acrobat, you can extract pages from a PDF file, or just export selected pages, and not the entire document. It would be a subset.

  Three choices here.

  Configure the master page with two columns so you have real column guides and ID will this thread management single column across the page width.

  Make a block of text type two columns.

  Set up a style of object (change the style [standard text block]) to include a block of two columns of text.

• frames of text block on master pages

  I use InDesign CS4. I created a master page from left and right - each master page has two text blocks.   The old version of Pages used to have a really useful feature that allowed you to select the different parts of a text at the same time by pressing the command at the same time you did drag the cursor over the text you want to select.
