Passing DB values to the text based on the Select Value box
HelloI'm very big thing back to the Oracle APEX. In my project, I have a requirement in which I need to pass different values for the corresponding text boxes on a different page based on the value I select in the item "Select Value".
I tried using processes calling for demand, but could not get the desired result.
Please suggest!
Hello
Can you repeat your scenario on apex.oracle.com? It will be easier to fix it this way.
Kind regards

Well I hope I can explain this well enough.
I have a drop down list that has two different options to choose from. For example:
Dropdown1 has: Option has
Option B
On the other page, I have two text fields. TextField1 shows just what is levied on the Dropdown1 (Option A or Option B). TextField2 must do the following: If Option A is taken I just need the field to remain a Virgin. If Option B is taken out I need to fill a specific text.
I thought that I found a way to do it, but it seems that since it's on another page the script will not pull.
Any help is very appreciated!
Hello
You can download Acrobat.com and then publish the form. Once you have published, you can copy the link and share it here.
In my example, I used the name of the first object "TextField1" for example. If your first object is named differently, you will have to modify the script accordingly.
There is an example on how to reference objects here: http://assure.ly/kUP02y.

Popup event on the selection of rows in table tree
I use jdev 11.1.1.7
I followed below page to pass parameters between the regions. It works fine if I use a button to trigger the event & pass the id of selected in a table of the tree line.
Tech Blog of Rohan Walia: events background - Basic step by step: ADF
I wanted to avoid button, I'm trying to pass data directly on the selection of rows in the tree.

" < events xmlns =" http://xmlns.Oracle.com/ADFM/contextualEvent "> "
< name of event = 'FireEvent '.

I get a NPE in the 3rd line below:
{} public void onTreeNodeSelect (SelectionEvent selectionEvent)
BindingContainer DCBindingContainer = ADFUtils.getDCBindingContainer ();
JUEventBinding eventBinding = (JUEventBinding) bindingContainer.get ("FireEvent");
SelectionListener selectionListener (SelectionListener) = eventBinding.getListener (); NPE

Any idea? Thank you.
Try with:
JUEventBinding eventBinding = (JUEventBinding) bindingContainer.get ('eventBinding');

Select the value of the text element based on the selection list
Hello
I have a selection list that displays a number of codes of a table, and I want to display the description of the code (from the same table) in a field of text next to it.
The selection list works good based on an LOV, but I can't seem to find how to get the return value, so I can identify the correct description of the table to be displayed.

Interactive report, change in color of the text based on the value in another column
I have a sample report at this url:
workspace: homeworld
username: test_report
password: test_report
APEX version 4.2.3 database 11 g release 2...
# Application: 202: IR TEST REPORTS
Page in question is #2 page
I have the setup of the report and you must make the following change...
I have 2 columns: Comm and bonus.
If the bonus > comm, I need to change the text color of the color of the Red bonus
If the bonus, comm, I need to change the text color of the bonus in green color
If the bonus = comm, I need to change the text color of the bonus to black color
I tried using the code with the select and am NOT wanting that, since he will be delivered with the data when they are downloaded in CSV or Excel... Had thought using the construction by highlighting, but that does not compare one column to another...
Thought a dynamic action, but not clear on HOW to do this, so any help would be appreciated...
Thank you

Hello
I think that number with JavaScript conversion may not be good idea because it's difficult manipulating different digital formats.
Check your example on page 3.
I have added to the report query
CASE WHEN COALESCE(bonus,0) > COALESCE(comm,0) THEN 'red' WHEN COALESCE(bonus,0) < COALESCE(comm,0) THEN 'green' WHEN COALESCE(bonus,0) = COALESCE(comm,0) THEN '#333333' END as fcolor
Then I modify every column Expression HTML to be as
#EMPNO#

change the field type selection list of text based on the data in the other domain.
Hello
We have a requirement where we are looking to display the page as element select list or a free text field based on the value of the item to another page.
Say, we have two fields
Day:
Products:
If day = 'Monday' produced a drop in low field of another product would be a free text field. Is this possible in APEX?
This is the configuration I did.
I used the field produced twice (as a text and list field select) as an element of a page., dependent on the value of the day I used the dynamic properties of actions to show/hide these fields.
However, when I click on submit, it throws an error:
ORA-06550: line 1, column 108: PL/SQL: ORA-00957: name of column in double ORA-06550: line 1, column 13: PL/SQL: statement ignored
Kind regards
Satya
You can have both share the same database column, the process of the APEX DML does not know how to consolidate.
You will need to add a calculation and determine the real value based on two fields, up to an only one mapped to db.

Dynamic action - set a value of element based on the selection of lines of report
Hi people,
Does anyone have an example how to set up a dynamic action, which could fill an element with the selected ID based on the selection of line of the report on the same page?
Demo:
http://Apex.Oracle.com/pls/Apex/f?p=19543:2
If I select an item in the report, then I would fill in 'Selected ID' element with the value of the selected report EMPNO line.
Later, I would use it for the display of parts of master / detail on the same page.
Thank you very much
TomasFor this sample page, add the following JS code to run when the page is loaded.
$('.highlight-row td').click( function(){ //fetch record id from the cell contents of first column in row id = $(this).parent().children('td:eq(0)').text(); //set page item to selected id $('#P2_SELECTED_ROW').val(id); });

Fill in the field of text based on the menu drop down.
Here's the scenario: I have 2 drop-down lists on page 1 (list1, List2). Based on this selection, I want to fill in a text field on page 2 with their values, after clicking on a button to update at the bottom of page 2. I use the button click event, but how can I get the actual values of each drop-down list on the previous page?
You must give the full path to the objects (i.e. form1. Page1.DDListName.RawValue). look in the view hierarchy to see the structure you want. Conversely, you can place the cursor in the script editor where you want the reference to appear, hold done the key ctrl and move the mouse to the object you wish to reference (it will change into a V). Then click on the mouse and the appropriate for this object reference is displayed in the script editor.

Hello:
How to configure contextual events publish several values of payload?
On click of a button, I'm declaritively publish a contextual event, which works very well when a single value is passed to the event handler.
My event handler method has the signature of:
eventHandler (String)
But now I also have an oracle.jbo.domain.Number, so my new eventHandler looks like this:
eventHandler (Number, String)
How to pass two values during editing of the event and how to place the payload with multiple values for the new eventHandler?
All article or code would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for the help.You define a bean holding your values and pass an instance of the bean as a payload...

Calculate the value based on the selection of the checkbox
People from g ' Day,.
I have myself a little stuck on a job that I have here, this javascript Gets the better of me.
The idea is that this script takes the total sub and adds a surcharge for credit card (in percentage) based on a selection of the checkbox, then spit out the value to be entered in another field.
If someone could have a quick look over what follows and let me know where I went wrong, it would be appreciated.
---
Subtotal var = this.getField("SubTotal").value;
var mastercardTick = this.getField ("MasterCard");
var visaTick = this.getField ("Visa");
var amexTick = this.getField ("Amex");
Var extra = this.getField("CreditSurcharge").value;
card credit var = this.getField("PayCredit").value;
If (creditcard.value = 'Off') {}
Event.Value = 0;
} else {}
If (mastercardTick.value = 'Yes') {}
overload. Value = (1,2 / 100) * subtotal.value;
} ElseIf (visaTick.value = 'Yes') {}
overload. Value = (1,2 / 100) * subtotal.value;
} ElseIf (amexTick.value = 'Yes') {}
overload. Value = (3.75 / 100) * subtotal.value;
} else {}
Event.Value = 0;
}
}
---
For lines like these:
overload. Value = (1,2 / 100) * subtotal.value;
If it should not be as:
Event.Value = (1,2 / 100) * subtotal.value;
The variable supplement is defined at the beginning of the script to the value of the field, so the surcharge.value parameter is not any sense.
