Passing the value of Poplist on Update Page

Hi all

I created a search page and a page update (to create and update).
In the results of advanced table Variable name is a link and set the Destination URI of property as

{& varId={@VariableId} & retainAM = Y'

When I click on the link for the name of the Variable for a single line in the table results, he gains access to the update with a single correct registration Page.
All columns in the table of results on the Update Page are messageTextInput. (Name of the variable, Description, Type of Variable, definition, assignment)

Now, when I change the 'Type of Variable' column to messageChoice and navigate to update the page through the link in the name of the Variable on the search page, I get all the correct values with the exception of the Variable Type.

The properties defined for the 'Variable Type'
See definition of the choice list: xxlc.oracle.apps.okc.poplist.server.XXLCVarTypeVO
Attribute drop-down list Display: meaning
List drop down attribute value: LookupCode

Discovers his: XXLCUpdVariablesVO1
Display attribute: VariableTypeMeaning.

Why it does not Type of Variable correct when display goes to messageChoice?

Thank you
SK

SK

The problem is with your defination of lookup you gave. Let me understand you

Attribute drop-down list Display: meaning
List drop down attribute value: LookupCode

When setting the dropdown attribute value you save it as LookupCode. So what is this list of choices is displays the meaning based on LookupCode

but when you set VO instance for that at the moment you are referring to the meaning that the attribute that must match the attribute Value list of choices.
As when you enter the update of the page and query the data then the value which must be stored in your domain is XXLCUpdVariablesVO1.VariableTypeMeaning
But your choice list values based on lookupcode that is to say the Value lookup attribute. You set it as VariableTypeMeaning which does not matches and your piclist empty poster or default value.

Discovers his: XXLCUpdVariablesVO1
Display attribute: VariableTypeMeaning.

The simplest solution is to change the value attribute lookup in this sense or BC4J view attribute in the Lookupcode form.

I hope I'm clear!

Thank you

  • passing the value of the item to another page

    Hello!

    I have a few questions while passing the value of the item to another presentation page and page refreshes.

    I have a page (page n ° 2) with more areas where users can fill data in some articles (text box, popups,...), then I have a region report report and button to enter a new item. When users, click the button is it redirects to another page (page no. 21), where the user enters the values to other elements (popup, text box,...) then I have 3 buttons on this page ('Cancel', "create one", "create an and create another") and now I don't know how to handle the button ' create a. Action for the button "create one" I want is that when button "create one" is clicked in a table (in my DB) should be inserted some values of page 2 and certain values on page 21, then users should be redirected to page 2, where you can see everything that you see before the user has clicked 'enter a new element button' (so all the values in the elements of the page 2 must be visible) + in this report in the region must be updated (so you can see the inserted elements on page 21)

    I hope you understand what I mean and you can help me. And sorry again for my English.

    Kind regards

    You can create a collection and use it in this way:

    IF apex_collection.collection_exists ("YOUR_COLLECTION") = TRUE THEN
    apex_collection.delete_collection (p_collection_name-online 'YOUR_COLLECTION');
    END IF;

    apex_collection.create_collection (p_collection_name-online 'YOUR_COLLECTION');

    -Value added to the collection
    apex_collection.add_member ("p_collection_name-online 'YOUR_COLLECTION', p_c001 => ' value to save");

    -get the value of collection
    Select C001 in apex_collections where collection_name = "YOUR_COLLECTION";

    Go through this link to learn more about the collections http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E17556_01/doc/apirefs.40/e15519/apex_collection.htm

    OR

    as you say if its only id you want to perform, then simply create an item hidden in your page 2 =>: P2_ID_SO, then capture the value in your 2 page deal and use it in page 21.

  • Pass the value modal page using static URLS

    Hi guys,.

    I have a simple page with three boxes.

    When one of the check boxes is selected, I want to draw a new page which I use as a modal page (SkillBuilders Modal plug to help).  I need to pass a value of a checkbox (P1_WTD_OPT_OUT) in the new modal page.

    I have the following in the static URL

    f? p = & APP_ID.:2: & APP_SESSION.:2:P2_WTD_ID, P2_WTD_OPT_OUT: & P1_WTD_ID, & P1_WTD_OPT_OUT. :

    where I'm moving the value of P2_WTD_OPT_OUT to P1_WTD_OPT_OUT.

    As I don't submit anything when the check box that calls the modal page is checked, how I would pass the value in the modal page?

    At the moment, if P1_WTD_OPT_OUT is enabled or not, P2_WTD_OPT_OUT is always null when modal page.

    I use apex v4.0

    Any help would be great,

    Thank you

    Here is what goes wrong:

    -page is first rendered, P8_WDT_OPT_OUT is NULL

    -the static url for the modal lov is generated. Given that the item is NULL value in the url for the P9_WDT_OPT_OUT point shall be void in this url

    -l' change event fires. The P8_WDT value is stored in session state

    -the modal opens and navigates to the static url

    End result is that the P9 indeed will be null.

    The solution to this is to not not to set the value of the item through the URL, because it will simply not work. But given that the element of P8 is located in session state, you can use the value of it to the default value of the element on P9.

    On page 8, I changed the dynamic action to not set the value of the element in the URL, and on page 9 I changed the default value of the element.

  • Passing the value of the element of a page to the other

    I have the following requirements.

    Page 1: Register Username (form)
    -Insert the user name in A Table
    -Redirect to the new page
    Page 2: Collect modules (form)
    -Insert the info collected in table B
    -User name of Page 1 is the primary key

    My problem:
    I can't understand how to use the value of the username (Item1) from Page 1 to Page 2.

    What I tried:
    (A) Item2 created in Page 2
    -After that treatment direction Page 1 value with the value of Item1 Item2
    -no value not transferred (failure)
    (B) source edited Item2 on Page 2 for:
    -Used: Always, replacing an existing value in session state
    -Type: point
    -Session State: per session
    -Value of source: P1_ITEM1
    & Several combinations of the two

    My question:
    Passing a value of item from a page to another seems to be a relatively basic operation.
    Am I trying to do something that APEX isn't designed to handle?
    Is there a practical way more traditional or better to deal with these issues?

    Any comments I can get would be great

    Thank you

    If the value of the item has been saved in session state (it is generally except if you explicitly Apex to not save the value in session state), then you can reference any element in your application to any other page or another process. So in other words you have a process on page 2 that runs before your page content (FRONT header, AFTER the header or BEFORE REGIONS) that does something like this:

    :P2_ITEM := :P1_ITEM;

    If you do that, then should have recorded the value on your other section of the page. This can also be done with calculations. It can also be done with the attribute of the SOURCE of your page, article, and there is probably some other ways to do it as well. One of these should be able to meet your need. Good luck.

    Hello

    You are missing the point in the end, it should be & P56_HW. (with the full stop), which is part of the syntax of substitution.

    In the first page I have sellers results region table where the $vendor_name column is a hyperlink that navigates to the page Vendor_Sites. Now after accessing the second page, I want to excute the VendorSitesVO in PR of CO based on the value passed to VendorsVO (vendor_id) of first page.

    You can set parameters of Pagecontext and transmit values through them. These values can be passed between pages, even if the AMs are different.

    Try:
    pageContext.putParameter ("Parameter1", value1);
    pagecontext.setForwardURL (second page)

  • Call AJAX process and pass the value on request

    Hello
    I want to call a process on demand by a button. So I added the following for her javascript code:

    function update_bp1()
    {
    Alert ('hhhhi');
    Alert (document.getElementById('P11_PATIENTID').value);
    var ajaxRequest = new htmldb_Get (null, & APP_ID., 'APPLICATION_PROCESS is update_bp', 0);
    ajaxRequest.add ('patient_id1', document.getElementById('P11_PATIENTID').value);
    ajaxResult = ajaxRequest.get ();
    Alert (ajaxResult);

    < /script >

    The called application process is:

    number of v_visitno;
    v_patientid varchar2 (10);

    Please help me to identify the problem.

    Thank you

    Hello

    I think that it is not relative browser, but Firefox with the module Firebug is just a better tool for web developer.
    It is easier to debug problems you have now.

    Is the point of application patient_id1? You need also to pass the value to the application process?
    If you don't need it another vise, it is better to use variables global apex_application

    Try this
    JavaScript for HTML page header

    Then, create the new process On demand application named UPDATE_PATIENT. Please note that the name of this process is case sensitive.

    DECLARE
      v_id        NUMBER;
      v_visitno   NUMBER;
      v_patientid VARCHAR2(10);
      v_count     NUMBER;
    BEGIN
      SELECT MAX(id),
        MAX(visitno)
      INTO v_id,
        v_visitno
      FROM tbl_patient
      WHERE patientid = apex_application.g_x01
      ;
      UPDATE tbl_patient
      SET systolic  = 10,
        diastolic   = 20
      WHERE id      = v_id
      AND visitno   = v_visitno
      AND patientid = apex_application.g_x01
      ;
      v_count := SQL%ROWCOUNT;
      COMMIT;
      htp.prn(v_count || ' rows updated');
    EXCEPTION
    WHEN NO_DATA_FOUND THEN
      htp.prn('error: patientid ' || apex_application.g_x01 || ' not exists in tbl_patient');
    WHEN OTHERS THEN

  • Passing the value of the SQL query select list

    Hello

    In my application users have in their homepage to a region which has two simple things, a part of LIST SLECT lov function and a BUTTON

    There is also another page which has a normal life to report which shows the employees.

    Homepage the user can select certain number of Department in its 'SLECT-LIST' and click 'open '.

    For example: If the user has selected a DEP_NUM_5 and click on the BUTTON it will be redirected to the page of a report and gets only showed the employees belonging to the Department 5.

    The report page contains a simple SQL query, and I understand that somehow I must pass the value in the SELECT LIST, where I now have the '?

    How can I do this, where should I start?

    Of course I would really appreciate an example of code, if anyone has time to do a.

    select "EMP_ID",
    "EMP_FORNAME",
    "EMP_SURNAME",
    "DEP_NUMBER"
    from EMP E
    where E.DEP_NUMBER = ????????

    Hi Sozua,

    1. create an item hidden on the page where you have the report.

    I say P2_DEPT_NO

    2 assign to that in your sql query

    select "EMP_ID",
        "EMP_FORNAME",
        "EMP_SURNAME",
        "DEP_NUMBER"
        from EMP E
        where E.DEP_NUMBER = :P2_DEPT_NO

    below the area source ther is also an option

    Elements of page to submit-> put this element in this.

    for example;

    Page to submit items: P2_DEPT_NO

    3. change your button

    Action: Redirecting to page of this application

    Page: 2 / / assuming that page 2 is the report page

    Place these items: P2_DEPT_NO

    with these values: & P1_SELECT_LIST.  assuming that selection list is on page 1

    Hope this helps you,

    Kind regards

  • Pass the value using javascript:modalpage()

    Hello

    Apex 4.2

    I need to know, is it possible to do the following.

    I have 4 buttons on the page as (Suspend, end, restoration, Add) and whenever you press a button and then MODAL_REGION will appear and I m using this javascript:openModal('Open_Page');

    within the action of the button - URL redirect for all the buttons. I did not create DAs for it as I create four DAs for each button.

    So my question is? I can pass the value in the code above. like javascript:openModal('Open_Page'); $s(P6_ITEM1,'S');

    but above does not work. I can just do a few DAs for him but don't want that for all buttons. Thus, when the press "SUSPEND" button hidden point P6_ITEM1 should take the of ' as a value, if the press which ENDED then take 'E' and so on.

    Please advice?

    Thank you very much.

    RI

    Hi Irha10,

    There is no need to use a DA to pass values to it. In the redirect URL

    javascript:$s('P6_ITEM','S');
    openModal('Open_Page');
    document.forms[0].P6_ITEM.focus();

    Hope this helps

  • Passing the value of processFormRequest to processRequest

    How does one pass variable to the processFormRequest to processRequest is using pageContext.putSessionValue ("xxx", xxx). It is not passing the value and want to ensure that the right way to spend it. an example would help. still a beginner in training. Thanks for the help

    Once you do the pageContext.putSessionValue ("xxx", xxx), then run pageContext.forwardImmediately back to the original page. Then in your processRequest, check that the value using pageContext.getSessionValue.

    Remember that the first time you page loads, that value be here if will be sure the return NULL value or you can get a null pointer exception. It was only after the processFormRequest and the forwardImmediately back to the page as your processRequest will see a value.

    I hope this helps.

  • Pass the value to your

    Can someone give me some advice on how to pass a value for one form another page with BC. Basically I want the user to be able to select and image and gallery images 'value' through the form in a hidden field that is a page. I found a video on kiyuco, but it was for the passage to change the url. Not exactly what I do.

    To pass values between Forms in one of the examples is through the url.

    If the form page that link you to the url would be something like:

    /thispage? aParamater = yourvalue & anParam = another value

    Where? -sets your created data casablenca

    aParamater - the name of your parameter that will store a value

    yourvalue - is the actual value

    & appears as & and you add another parameter and value

    After that, are the other parameter and value.

    On the page, you have the shape that you use {module_url, aParamater} for example in the value of input field to your form ( value = '{module_url, aParmater}' )

  • By passing the value in column IR to package Oracle

    All,
    I try to call a package Oracle of APEX and must pass the value of a column of IR in this packaging. I tried saying: ADJ_ID but I don't think his pasing anything for the backend.
    Here are the steps.
    1. the user runs IR
    2. There is a column that I put as "ROLLBACK" on this report for each line that has a LINK that calls URLS like
    JavaScript:apex.confirm (' safe to restore adaptation? "," SEND");
    3. once the user confirms submit, I call the package, package gets called but I want to send a value for that line to the package, I do this by saying: (colon) rating but it does not work.

    Thank you
    Vishal

    You must set you page item (as you try to pass by using the method of colon in PLSQL) first

    You can change your link to

    * JavaScript:apex.confirm ("Sure to restore adaptation?", {request: 'SUBMIT', value: {"P1_ROW_VALUE": 10}}); *

    P1_ROW_VALUE is the Page element that you want to set and 10 here is specific to the LINE value

    If you use the "links" section in the report attributes
    and then, something like that would

    * JavaScript:apex.confirm ('Safe to restore the fit?', {request: "SUBMIT", value: {'P1_ROW_VALUE': ' #COLUMN_ALIAS #'}}); *

    Alias_de_colonne is the name of the column you want to set the element with the value.
