I have a hp mini 2140 and I took out the cmos, disconnected battery power and battery, let stand for 2 hours, press power switch may meet any power left in the system. Unfortunately, business machines have a stricter security consumption patterns - they do not produce "stop codes", the password cannot be derived from the serial number and the code is stored in a nonvolatile memory to remove the RTC cell does not reset the password in this case.

Hi, I have a HP G72 laptop, while playing in the BIOS, I put the Admin password and turn on the password.
I do not know the password but it would disable instead so I don't have to enter it every time I turn it on.

Windows 7 password problem: does not recognize password after waking from sleep
So I have recently buy a netbook with Windows 7 operating system. I create the administrator account and password protect. All right, install software, copy documents, etc. in the "My Documents" folder and happily use the machine for a few days with no problems. Then work off the battery voltage, put the PC in sleep for some time. When I try and log back in after the awakening of the PC, it does not recognize the password. Try with cap locks, off and all the rest, but not luck. I must finally remove the battery and restart. Sign in as normal (the password is recognized) and go in the user administrator account to disable the password, but then again, the current password is not recognized and I am not allowed to make changes. However, I can still close and log on by using the current password. Confused. Anyine have any ideas?
There is no need to remove the battery or pull the taken when force a PC to stop. By pressing the power button for about ten seconds will do the trick.
Your password problem: you might be dealing with a foreign keyboard problem. Make the password to something that is independent of the keyboard configuration, for example 123456.
To reset the administrator password, follow these steps:
1. click on start.
2. type the three letters cmd in the search box.
3. press on Ctrl + Shift + Enter
4. click on "run as Administrator".
5. type the following commands and press ENTER after each:
net localgroup administrators
(This will show you the accounts that have administrative privileges. What is?)
NET user administrator 123456
(This will set the password to 123456) -

After changing POP IMAP, I experience slow responses (including Thunderbird does not) and repeated messages to change my password. My work around is to remove all the password stored in Thunderbird, close and re - open Thunderbird, enter my existing password and get Thunderbird to save him. Also, I have to enter my password when sending emails. After this Thunderbird works well (but very slow to get new emails) for a few days. Then I get a message that my password is not accepted and to enter a new password - which none are accepted. My impression is that this message occurs when Thunderbird updates draft records, sent or deleted from the server. Encryption with the server synchronization problem?
When things work, on the opening of Thunderbird the new e-mail list is displayed but cannot be opened for some time. During this wait, Thunderbird does not not msg occurs if I try another action such as moving a slider to see an old email.
Any suggestions on how to solve my problems?

After that I decided to turn back to xp from vista, I used ghost do that but after reboot my laptop started giving causion Virus. Unable to send mail via exchange server with Version 38.0.1 - password problems

I have a REALLY weird problem all of a sudden. I have only one user (Admin) on my Macbook running El Capitan, and all of a sudden OS X does not recognize my password after login.
In other words, I can connect fine, but after that whenever I need to use my credentials to allow OS x to perform certain actions (like the moving an application to the trash, or unlock the locking in the preferences system - even change my password), it says that the password is incorrect.
I tried to change the password via the Recovery Mode, which worked - but once again, until I logged in. I thought it might be a permission problem, but El Capitan has this feature in disk utility, then I tried with a terminal sudo command - but even here it takes a password that does not work.
Any help would be appreciated!
