  Hello! I am trying to learn my way through PHP/MySQL and tried to find a solution for a website I'm working on that. Basically, a person can search in a database (in this case, musical instruments that are for sale) but in order to communicate with the seller, they need to have a paid subscription. I was able to set up my dynamic arrays with success for the different categories, I have, but you should know how to ensure that if a person wishes to communicate with the seller, there is another link to take them to this information (I know how to password protect the pages, but the 'link' so that information is what I'm trying to understand). Any guidance would be appreciated!

  The idea behind this is that the link goes the seller ID in the query string to a dynamic page that bed code and uses that, WHERE a query in a SQL clause. You can try to use the master-detail for this server behavior, or code yourself. This will allow you to dig into the list of instrument for the contact information of the seller.   Store images or binary data in a database is no longer a suggested method, because it can lead to problems of poor performance. The recommended method is to download the file on the file system of the server and then store a link to this file in the database. That solved your problem else too - it is easy to provide a link to a popup window to display the image.

  Lightning zapped a supply of computers.  Expensive to replace so I had the password protected HD installed in a Cabinet, but now I can not in HD.  What are the procedures to overcome having to put the password.  The HD casing is connected to another computer.  In the past I was able to access the HD but the computer to which it was connected crashed and I had to reinstall the operating system.  Now I can not access the HD.  Help!

  I'm on a processor to work, so I've limited the administrative rights on the computer. My work function requires that I propose on the desktop to help others with professional assignments.

  These options are very likely controlled by your GP (Group Policy) settings on your domain. Due to the nature of the work of rights how administrative, there is no way to work around this problem, unless you have access to change group policy settings that affect all the machines on your network.

  You would need to access or to change the settings of GP or find someone who already has access.

For example, to insert a form that will prompt the user to create a username and password, then send a verification email to the user e-mail with a link that confirms the identity of the new user and give him access to all protected content is.   Check out pdfpirate.net and will remove the password. The site seems dangerous, but I have run that several PDFs through it and immediately checked for malicious bugs and have been clean.

  Although I no longer use my handheld device Palm (Treo 755 p) I use the desktop app from Palm on my computers, mainly because I like the software allows for the protection of specific password of any given note, contact, or another entry.  When I recently added software for my new Surface 2 Pro 8.1 Windows running, it seems to work correctly.  However, when I tried configured for password protect the program, it shows that a password is not assigned and notes that I have to put a password in the device.   The device has a password, but I can't connect to the Surface either via USB or Bluetooth.   Apparently, the two are incompatible.  However, the kicker is that on my tablet running Windows 7, the password that I use to enter the desktop application is NOT the same as that defined for the device.   I don't remember how I put this on the Windows 7 computer, but I guess I had connect both devices.   Please help if you know of a way for me to use my password on the Surface without connecting to the Palm, or if you know how I can connect the Palm to the Surface Pro.    FYI, when I use bluetooth to try to connect to the Surface and the Palm, a password is generated for the Bluetooth connection and as soon as I get it, I indicate that it is connected to the Palm.  However, after about 5 seconds, it shows no connection.  The same result occurs whenever this is attempted.

  What I read your journal is already protected. Of course the best security, you can use use a good password includes numbers and letters. If you wish it is possible to also protect files and folders, the steps are displayed below for you:

  -Select the file or folder you want to protect/encrypt
  -Right click on the folder and select Properties
  -Click on the Advanced button
  -Click on option "Encrypt contents to secure data".
  -Click apply then Ok
  (Note: this is only available for Windows XP Pro users, and not the Windows XP family version.)
