Patch update client tool from Dev2000...

Hello
I have already installed Dev2000 6i with patch 12 on each client computer. It is possible without uninstalling the product to request/install the 6i Dev2000 with patch 14, 16 or even 18?

Note: I use EBS 11.5.10
Thank you
SIM

SIM,

It is possible, you don't have to uninstall the Patch 12 to install the Patch 14, 16 or 18.

Kind regards

  • Vista will not start after update 12/9 - a patch prevents the system from starting.

    My computer has downloaded an automatic update on 09/12/09.  It restarted while I was at work, and when I got home he had just ran a startup repair function which could not solve the problem.  I tried to run the rapair again and it failed.  I tried to do a system restore on the eve of the update, but the operating system could not start again, and I was sent automatically the Startup Repair tool.

    When I look at the diagnostics, the message says "a patch prevents the system from starting.  I have no idea how to solve this problem.  Can someone please?

    PCrepair101,
    You try to use the package manager I link a few post above?  Otherwise, demarrer start from your DVD, type command prompt, and then follow the steps in method 2.  http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/940410
    If this does not fix it you can rename the pending.xml file and restart.  To do this, boot from the DVD and enter the command line.  Then type:
    CD windows\winsxs - press on enter
    Ren pending.xml pending.old - press on enter

    Then restart the system.

    You said "when I try to do a system restore, it is said that there is no previous restore point" and I was wondering if you have tried a "Startup Repair" not a system restore.  Mike - Engineer Support Microsoft Answers

  • Update VMware Tools on specific servers

    Hello

    I developed the following script, using various sources, I found on the internet, which I run from the virtual Center Server to update VMware tools on a number of servers:

    ' $insParm = "/ s v" /qn REBOOT = ReallySuppress "'

    #------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    # Configure the variables
    #------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Host name of the server #VM
    $VMServer = "06W8F5VC01".
    #User account to connect to the virtual infrastructure:
    $username = "root".

    #Directory path to the list of targets of VM.
    $updList = get-Content "C:\users\jmilano-adm\desktop\serverlist.txt".

    Write-Host "Serverlist: ' $updList
    write-host

    #------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    # Connect to the VM Server
    #------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    # $server = to connect-VIServer-Server $VMServer - User $username
    $server = to connect-VIServer-Server $VMServer
    #Search for specific VM in the production cluster:
    #$folder = get-file-name "Financial Hosts' #Target financial Hosts file in the VM Infrastructure Client console
    $cluster = get-Cluster-name 'MEL_Cluster_01 '.

    Write-Host "cluster Var: ' $cluster

    #------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    # Main()
    #------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    foreach ($uVM to $updList)

    {
    $vm = get-VM-name $uVM - location $cluster

    #$VM.name
    write-host "
    write-host "host to upgrade:" $VM.name

    #$uVM.UpgradeTools_Task ($insParm)
    UPDATE-TOOLS - VM $VM. Name - RunAsync - NoReboot

    write-host "
    write-host "host has been improved.

    #Wait 30 seconds before you start another task update
    Start-sleep - s 30
    }

    I tested the script and it works very well, but what I want to do is change it so that it performs the following:

    * Check this box when the line read from the ServerList.txt file is empty. If Yes, read the next line.

    * Check the virtual server to verify that the VMware Tools is indeed obsolete. If so, update.

    * Check if the server has no VMware tools. If it is not the case, install the latest version.

    To create a log file on the server on which the script is run.

    * Check if the installation was successful in fact. Add this information to the log file.

    Pls know me what changes I need to run the script to reflect the foregoing. Thank you

    Thinking about your questions. Here it is:

    #* Checks the virtual server to verify that the VMware Tools is indeed out of date. If so, update it.

     foreach($vmItem in $vm) {
      if($vmItem.extensiondata.guest.toolsStatus -ne "toolsOK"){
       #Possibilities:
       # - toolsOk
       # - toolsOld
       # - toolsNotRunning
       # - toolsNotInstalled

       write-host "Vmware Tools is Not ok, upgrading...";
       UPDATE-TOOLS -VM $vmItem.Name -RunAsync -NoReboot

      }else{
       write-host "Vmware Tools Ok, no need to upgrade";
      }

     }
    #* Check if the server does not have VMware Tools. If it does not, install the latest version.
     I think the earlier script will work fine to this condition. Please tell, if not.

    #* Create a log file on the server which the script is being run.
     You can use the Measure-object cmdlet to see how long it took to run the script.

    #* Verifies if the installation actually succeeded. Add this information to the log file.
     After the Measuring, you can query again the Vmware Tools Status or create a looping to try more times till Vmware tools is readed as OK

  • This patch updates apply to 11.2.0.1 to join 11.2.0.2?

    Hello

    Our client has Oracle 11.2.0.1 installed. We are trying to understand whether it is possible to apply some patchsets 11.2.0.1 to join 11.2.0.2? We understand that 11.2.0.2 is an entirely separate version and there are ways to put 11.2.0.1 in 11.2.0.2, but we wonder if we kept with applying all the set provided Oracle patch does mean that our database is not to 11.2.0.2?

    Or simply patch updates apply to 11.2.0.1 to join 11.2.0.2?

    Thank you

    Not to worry - to 11.2.0.2, you must apply the 11.2.0.2 patch set - there is no other way that I know.

    I also know that there is a way to put 11.2.0.1 in 11.2.0.2 following the steps for example here (http://www.mydbspace.com/?p=58), but I don't want to do that. Our client is to be filled by a 3rd party with a system that already has 11.2.0.1 and we cannot simply install another version of oracle. We are trying to understand if it is not possible to go from 11.2.0.1 to 11.2.0.2 by simply applying puts the patch for this version, then our customer may request the just 3rd party at 11.2.0.2 level or more.

    Upgrade to 11.2.0.2 (or 11.2.0.3 etc), you must follow the instructions of official update here - http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/server.112/e23633/toc.htm

    Hope that clarifies the issue.

    This Disc Creator patch do you mean?
    What cell phone do you have exactly?

    On the page of the European driver Toshiba, I have found a few patches as patch recovery.
    But it's registry Patch for the restoration of the system.
    After downloading the zip file, you should unpack this package, then you will find an exe file, this file must be decompressed also! Right-click on this file and select unpack here.
    Now, you should find a few other files and folders should be an install.exe

    However, in your case I would recommend testing another disc as DVD-R from different manufacturers as TDK
    I use DVD R and never had any problems with these discs

    What should I do now?

    Hi MeProgrammer,

    Temporarily disable the antivirus software on the computer as a test and try to install the update and check if this is useful to fix the problem.

    If disabling the antivirus software works, then you need to configure the same so that it does not disturb. Please contact the software vendor for assistance in this regard.

    Warning

    Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    Additionally, make sure that you download and install the correct version (32-bit or 64-bit) system from the link below for Windows Vista Update Readiness Tool:

    Description of the preparation tool system update for Windows Vista for Windows Server 2008, for Windows 7 and for Windows Server 2008 R2

    In addition, I recommend you check the following logs for more information:

    %SystemRoot%\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.log
    %SystemRoot%\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.persist.log

    I hope this helps.

    DO NOT UPDATE BIOS/FIRMWARE JUST BECAUSE THE LATEST VERSION IS COMER & THIS WILL BE COOL TO HAVE

    ONLY UPDATE BIOS/FIRMWARE FROM THE SITE OF YOUR PRODUCT (NOT HPSA), TOO IF YOUR SYSTEM IS IN GREAT NEED OF HIM.

    I have no idea why updates, you referred has been deleted. HPSA is too bug eventhough it of a great tool for your computer, so be careful, you do everything related to him or her.

  • Request concerning the sequence of updates for the Windows Update client in 2015

    I posted a query similar to this on a Microsoft Technet forum, but I have not yet received a response to the specific question that I asked.  I'm trying so this forum.

    I am running Windows 7 Home Premium SP1, but I did not intend to accept the free update of Windows 10.  I don't use automatic updates.  I use Windows Update manually and select the updates to install, even for these updates identified as Important.

    Since April 2015, there was a sequence of updates for the client Windows Update on Windows 7 (Windows 8).  I have the Windows 7 of those below list:

    KB2990214 (April 2015)

    KB3050265 (June 2015)

    KB3065987 (July 2015)

    KB3075851 (August 2015)

    KB3083324 (September 2015)

    KB3083710 (October 2015)

    KB3102810 (November 2015)

    KB3112343 (December 2015)

    (This list is probably less intimidating than it looks because the replaced October update Update September, which replaced the August update, which replaced the July update, which replaced the June updated.  "There are therefore basically just 4 updates.)

    The big question is, given that Windows 7 is available for several years, why, all of a sudden, there was this sequence of updates for the Windows Update client?  Because these updates began to occur at the time when the offer of a free upgrade to Windows 10 was announced, I could be forgiven for thinking that all of these updates are really directed towards the relaxation of the upgrade to Windows 10 via Windows Update, and that there is little or no advantage to systems that are not upgrading.  I am mistaken in this belief?  If not, precisely those who will benefit from my system, even if it is not upgraded to Windows 10?

    The updates that I currently installed, depending on the installed updates, are KB2990214 (April 2015), KB3075851 (August 2015), KB3083324 (September 2015) and KB3083710 (October 2015).

    In my view, there was a lack of transparency in the descriptions of these updates in the KB articles.  And, in one or two cases, information on the importance of an update in the article and in Windows Update has been inconsistent.  It would have been much clearer if each KB article stated for NOT upgrading to Windows 10 systems, if the update to the Windows Update client is important, as an option or completely irrelevant.
