Built this system as a sandbox under VirtualBox to start working on the upgrade of my direct database 11.2.0.2. Before we continue, I need to move my ORACLE_BASE (actually I'll take all/U01) to a larger newly created file system. I'm looking at the DB Admin Guide, Chapter 4, "stopping and restarting Oracle restart for Maintenance operations.
First of all, I put ORACLE_HOME for the databases and ran ' srvctl stop home o $ORACLE_HOME if $ORACLE_HOME/crs_state '. Ran as not expected, no errors and data bases have been arrested.
Then I set ORACLE_HOME for ASM and run the same command "srvctl stop home o $ORACLE_HOME if $ORACLE_HOME/crs_state ', but with problems:
Hmm. vbdwdev of the database is not a database cluster. No, it isn't. What is the problem here? And he's trying to do with the base anyway? That was supposed to be treated when executing 'srvctl stop' of the database, which has already been done.oracle:+ASM$ cd $ORACLE_HOME oracle:+ASM$ srvctl stop home -o $ORACLE_HOME -s $ORACLE_HOME/crs_state PRCH-1002 : Failed to stop resources running from CRS home /u01/app/oracle/11.2.0/grid PRCH-1030 : One or more resources failed to stop: PRCH-1026 : Failed to stop ASM PRCD-1027 : Failed to retrieve database vbdwdev PRCD-1035 : Database vbdwdev is not a cluster database oracle:+ASM$ srvctl start home -o $ORACLE_HOME -s $ORACLE_HOME/crs_state oracle:+ASM$
Google and MetaLink research on the error messages keep coming back to group the related issues, often in updates, and this is not.
Ideas? For what it's worth, I checked the procedure on an installation of VirtualBox using Oracle 11.2.0.2. He has to work, please see below:

You try to apply the patch using /hotpatch option when a cycle existing adoption is ongoing. This is not allowed. Either you apply the patch to fix file system online help (phase of adoption fair use = apply patches =

Hello
Well, the problem was a small/dev/SHM - it's only 1 GB, I changed it to 2, 5 GB and the upgrade went well. This was reported in the prereqs, but only as a warning.
I suppose the instance ASM 12 required c more/dev/SHM in 11 g.

It may sound crazy that I am answering my own post. As he complains about MigrationBasis. I tried to go to the config.xml file and changed
Cluster-0 unicast database TO
Cluster-0 unicast consensus And at least I was able to restart Server Admin and go to the Server Admin page. The Cluster-> Configuration-> Migration is always on view from database as the basis for Migration.

AMT-03505: failed to resolve the name
Team,
I have 2 databases on a server with a database on port 1521 and the other database is on 1524.I am facing problems connecting with the database that is located on 1524.ORACLE_HOME, ORACLE_SID and path are set on the database that is on 1524.
I have add the database of 1524 entries in both the oracle homes / / network domain.
I was able to connect to the database very well, but when I install the enterprise Manager, it throws the below error

Stevens,
Is there a way where I could change the port from 1524 to 1521.Please EM12C let me know.
Thank you!
As it was already told, databases use ports. The listener did. The release of "lsnrctl status" you showed us presents a listener who is ONLY listening on port 1521 and database EM12C is registered with the listener. In addition, we know that EM12C was able to dynamically register with this listener, because his status is listed as LOAN. A static record (in the section SID_LIST listener.ora) would show as UNKNOWN.
So if you want to connect to EM12C via a network connection (even if the same machine) you would specify (in tnsnames) be directed to connect to the PORT = 1521.
I don't know how you configure client connection requests in WebLogic. It is a problem of the customer.

CPU12.1.0.2.3 opatchauto failed with error code 255.
I want to install the 12.1.0.2.3 critical update (April 15, 2015) for the independent network on Linux Infrastructure. It fails with the error code of subject and the following additional messages:.
The user is root. OPatch cannot continue if the user is root.
opatchauto failed with error code 255.
These instructions specifically tell me to log in as root before installing the patch, so what happens?
The instructions show all first update OPatch later, that I've done and checked.
Secondly, a CMO response file is required, so I followed the steps to create this file and saved as /home/grid/ocm.rsp with the 644 default permissions.
Third, the instructions say to download the patch and unzip it in an empty slot that can not be/tmp. I created a new/home/grid/foo directory and unpacked the software to this location. Thus, the location of chilling is/home/grid/foo/and in this directory are only two things: a file named PatchSearch.xml and a directory named 20485724.
Fourth, the readme indicates the patch must be installed by a user with root privileges, so I logged as root. (Oracle ) Note 1591616.1 said to connect as root, not only be as root).
As root I set environment variable for ORACLE_HOME pointing to the home of GI, and I set PATH = $PATH: $ORACLE_HOME/bin: $ORACLE_HOME/OPatch.
Finally, I call opatchauto with the required parameters and get an error saying I can't be root. I fussed with the parameters and the result is always that I can not be root.
Documentation,.
Case 3: Patch only IG home
You must use the following instructions if you prefer at patch Oracle GI (grid Infrastructure) only with this patch.
Case 3.1: Welcome IG no shared
If IM home is not shared, then use the following instructions to patch the House.
3.1.1 case: ACFS file system is not configured
Follow these instructions in this section if IM home is not shared and none of the Oracle database houses using the filesystem ACFS to its software files.
Do the following on each node in the cluster.
As user root, run:
# opatchauto apply <UNZIPPED_PATCH_LOCATION>/%BUGNO% -oh <GI_HOME> -ocmrf <ocm response file>
My order is,
opatchauto applies/home/grid/foo/20485724-oh /u01/app/12.1.0.2/grid - ocmrf /home/grid/ocm.rsp
So, not a problem of syntax. It simply doesn't let me run as root despite this being a difficult requirement.
The problem was due to a 32-bit version of OPatch installed on our Linux 64-bit server. After we installed the correct OPatch the error disappeared.
The shift occurred because the OPatch link download in the Readme for the edition of 6 bits points to a 32-bit version of the download OPatch PSU and CPU patches. Not sure why a readme for 64-bit software made us in a 32-bit download file, but we know now to double check everything.

root.sh failed during the installation of RAC11.2g
Dear,
I try to install RAC 11.2 (version of the grid Infrastructure is 11.2.0.1) on both nodes of linux (OS version is 2.6.39 - 400.215.10.el5uek Oracle Linux 5.11)
SELinux + Firewall is stopped, ASM works fine (listdisks and querydisk has my drives correctly), ping between two nodes on public and private IPs is OK, the hosts file, configured for good.
Owner of the DSO is grid user, and this user is the same used during the installation of the grid infrastructure.

EBS R12.2 Failed cloning appsTier
Hi all
EBS R12.2
I cloned my applTier, but it took so much time and hanged.
When I restarted the failed clone, I get error of inventory:

Ensure that Oracle homes above are not saved to the global inventory "/ u01/oraInventory/ContentsXML/inventory.xml" and restart the script adcfgclone.pl

I tried to unregister the existing oracle_homes, but I got by using the error:
$./runInstaller.sh - detachhome ORACLE_HOME = / home/appluat/UAT/fs1/FMW_Home/oracle_common
From Oracle Universal Installer...
Check the swap space: must be greater than 500 MB. Real 9241 MB passed
The pointer of the inventory is to /etc/oraInst.loc
The inventory is located at/u01/oraInventory
'DetachHome' failed.
How can I solve this problem of radiation? How can I manually remove the clone appsTier recorded at home?
Thank you very much

Passage of custody of data with broker fails with ORA-16570 / ORA-16665
I'm using Data Guard 11 g on Windows Server 2012 64 Bit. Recently, I have configured the broker to manage the permutations more uncomfortable.
Unfortunately the digital switchover does not work. Broker Setup seems fine, since I can activate t and redo apply works perfectly...
Now, the behavior is as follows... Once I put the passage through brokers, it shows the following:
DGMGRL > passage to the smart_stb
Continue to pass, please wait...
Error: ORA-16665: wait for the result of a database
Failed.
Unable to failover, primary database is always "smart".
The digital switchover happens, there is no restart of the primary database well! Does not appear to be linked to a DGMGRL buggy service entrance. In fact the database will not yet descended. The principal is supending all processes while trying to do so. Broker runs into a timeout, of course, but the principal remains in a State of supending. The primary doesn't seem to be able to cominicate with side standby or vice versa. Which is strange since the restoration of log shipping and apply is workng fine as mentioned... do a manual failover. I don't know what could cause this kind of behavior... Double checked everything. Once I restart the two databases and align on the rule of law that the digital transition is complete. But Needless to say that it is not intending to use the broker...

I would be most grateful if someone would have an idea of how solve it!
Thanks in advance and best regards...
Solved!
A logon trigger that makes an insert in a table for each log in the appearance of this behavior. Since dataguard brings the standby database open mode ReadOnly cannot insert the trigger and the strange behavior as described happens!
Hope that could help someone in the future...
Kind regards
