Path with the pen color tool

Is there a way to improve (color change) the path generated with the pen tool. I don't want to say 'draw' the path after the path is complete. I mean the original plan of the path with the pen tool. I have a pretty full picture which I cannot see the path I'm generating the path.

Thank you.

Hello

I think I see what you mean... There is a fine line and unlike in other applications, I'm fairly certain that I am not mistaken, you cannot specify a color for her.

I suggest only, and I don't know if this will help, but you could do your photo complicated layer is on temporarily less opaque so: lighter in effect. Not really more light and not a permanent change, you understand. I know not how you know PhotoShop so if you need me to explain exactly what to do, don't say, no probs. I'll tell you, it's easy.

I'm not sure this will help, but that's all I can think about thinking I'm afraid. I don't know if anyone has a better idea, they will be along soon to tell you about this :-)

Edit... ah... just beat him by Marlo with a better idea, lol.

  • When you add points on the path with the pen tool, it will always add handles almost anything?

I'm stumped... I have used several times before the tool pen without problem. I use Wacom Intuos... but have also disconnected and used touch pad and the same thing happens... I want to add a track with the tool point pen to move and create a perfect angle and no matter what I do the pen creates the point with handles and, of course, with handles, it becomes very difficult to create and move a corners with the direct Selection tool... The default behavior is. I just hold down the alt/opt and then convert the point at a point without handles.

Can anyone of you teach me please how to avoid losing the first point Bezier handle backward when closing a path with the pen tool?

It is a nuisance for a long time for me, but I can't exclude that I simply failed to find the right way to disable this behavior.

For my own use, I wrote some Javascript AI, JET_CloseSelectedPaths.jsx, which closes a path in the way that narrow box that FreeHand is for pre-existing incoming handles.

Read the descriptions on the page, and you will find a few others in the same collection, which even use workaround for things that FH users take for granted about two decades ago. (Illustrator only devout, of course, should stay away from them because, you know, they use HAVE for a long time, so I should not em.)

  • How to continue the drawing with the pen tool

    Hello

Let's say that I start to draw an image with the pen tool. Something happens 1/2 through the work of track and I need to stop the trace. How I later come back and start the trace of my last point and continue to the end. Now, all I get is new anchor points and lines that do not join the original track. Thank you

To resume adding segments to a pre-existing open path with the pen tool:

    1. Hover over the endpoint of the path. A slash mark appears next to the cursor.
    2. Click on the endpoint.
    3. Continue to add the anchorPoints.

It is not necessary first to select the path (but it should be).

  • Merge paths with the same fill color

    Hello

I'm trying to use pathfinder to merge paths with the same colors. I have a lot of colors, so that Select > same fill color would solve my problem, it is very slow.

My typical workflow is basically by selecting the same colorful and using pathfinder (unite) paths to combine. If the paths have different colors that he would do all the unique color of merged paths. It does not work.

I want to combine only the paths with the same fill color with the other, but I couldn't come up with a good workflow.

Someone had a similar problem/situation? What are my options?

    I appreciate all the help.

Select all, and then click 'Merge' pathfinder

Or you can choose the pen tool (g), set the padding to zero and the race to what you want, then draw a path, then press U twice to reveal all of the properties that have been changed for the layer, and then click Add (top-right) and select Connect the tracks.

To make the race work just animate the start or end point and sent to paint on original or reveal original or normal.

    Thank you!!!

    for8aby,

Guides are your friends, depending on whether you want to continue A) the shape of the path (so far) last anchor Point or B) create a new path starting with an internal Anchor Point with the pen tool:

    (A) right click/ClickDrag on/off the last anchor Point;

    (B) click anywhere near the internal Anchor Point, press space, and move the point on the path ( pathcommented for example) until you're here

(Smart Guides say anchor), and then drag the handles, as appropriate.

After that, you can continue as ususal.

  • Beginner with the pen tool problem: not obvious on any shape layer

I'm learning the pen tool. I made a line with the pen tool, but now I can't find out what layer it is on, and I can't caress as I wanted. All my layers are turned off and the form appears. However the research through the layers there is no vector layer that contains my line. In addition, I can't touch the line as the line options and filling are greyed out on my table of paths. I have attached a copy of Θcran to explain if all goes well I mean. I use CS2 on Windows 7.

Your Layer palette capture you have no visible layer and targeted in order to trace the path would not be available and gray by Photoshop.  Target a layer visible and you should be able to stroke the path on this layer. Also, you should be able to add a shape layer by using this path of pen.

  • Follow-up with the pen tool

Hi, I am trying find an animal of comics with the pen tool.  How to start and stop without messing up the design, when you start in a new location within the design, if that makes sense.

    Thank you

    Erica

    Erica,

To start a new path, rather than continue the current, you must pass the tool pen for something else and back again. You can do this by using the hotkeys with no mousing hand and hold the mouse and your attention (more or less) in position.

P's Pen, the switch from the simplest is to press O and P and then you can start the new path (O is the reflection, but who is not serious in this respect).

  • Masking with the pen tool creates unwanted cropping

Adobe Premiere Pro CC - 2015.4 version 10.4.0 (30) build

    Operating system - OS X 10.11.6

    Sequence/images - images of reflex digital H.264 in a 1920 x 1080, 16:9, 29.97 FPS

I'm adding a chart and try to hide a file HAVE with the pen tool. As soon as I click on the tool pen under the control of opacity effect, a small portion of the image is cropped on the right side. Even when I finished the mask, he trims still on the right side.

Here is what the chart looks like no mask at all. http://i.imgur.com/CtKbvOD.PNG

Once I click on the tool to start feather mask, it cultures immediately a small part on the right side. http://i.imgur.com/W5ICaJR.PNG

Even when I change the mask to make sure the mask is not touching the graphic, it cultures still a small portion. http://i.imgur.com/zNTGQ60.PNG

Here's a short video showing what I want my mask to do (with keyframes) and you can still see the cropped part. https://youtu.be/Sy-Fx4YUc1g

I restarted the program, re-import the file, delete the chart out my calendar and it added on. Remove the mask and tried again.

I am at a loss here, but feel like there is something simple that I'm missing. Did anyone had this problem? Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Thanks for your help.

  • Help please with the pen tool! :)

I'm trying to draw a building with the pen tool.

I want that every surface (form?) to a new layer, but I want to use the angle of the previous shape to start and complete the new form so that they are distinct, but join perfectly.

I tried to use the transform tool to create forms I need and align them next to another form, but I don't know how

to make 'snap' to the shape on the other layer.

    I use Photoshop CC.

I was trying to search online, but finding this difficult issue of Word correctly in google to be honest.

Thanks in advance! I hope this makes sense.

Yes, they would be all on separate layers.  You would use only part of the last shape to start the next to ensure perfect alignment.

Illustrator is a nod to the Point.  It always annoyed me that Photoshop does not handle the snap with the pen or free transform tool.  :-(
