  I have a HP Pavilion dv5 - 1183cl has been upgraded from Windows Vista to Windows 7 Ultimate (32 bit) and I have a few questions.

  I have four errors appearing in my device manager, three Base system device and an unknown device, and I don't know what they are or where to find the drivers (since I don't know what they are). In addition, the battery will recharge not (it doesn't seem to be anything wrong with her physically). I wonder if the errors below are related to the battery issue.   Go to Device Manager.  There should be a category of other devices containing a list of devices that need drivers under this category.

  The wireless card is labeled as a network controller.

  Click the network controller device, and then click the Details tab in the upper part of the window of network controller device.

  Now you should see a drop-down list of property and it is set by default to the Description of the unit.

  On this list and select the second element (Hardware ID).

  After the first string of characters you see in the window.

  There is no 32-bit drivers for the device... It's the Intel e/s series device driver needed... 64-bit only - even directly from Intel there is no 32-bit drivers.

  I just bought an a6660t Pavilion, and - like so many others, I try to go from Vista to XP. Also, like so many people, I managed to get XP installed, but now miss me all my drivers.  In fact, I don't know how many pilots miss - all I know right now is that miss me the LAN drivers because I cannot establish a network connection to the internet.  The port is active, but no connectivity.
