Pavilion 15 p248ne: loud fan noise and vibrate

Hello, so he started to happen when I move the laptop one day (when it's on) fan me all of a sudden very hard and the laptop everything vibrated, it sounded like the fan was touch something running which makes vibration and noise, it sounds exactly like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QkCLubSukzI I fixed it by restarting the laptop (sleeping too work looks like everything that makes the fan stop) but now It happens randomly, the normal fan noise has changed and there sometimes as fort again, as demonstrated in the video and then I have to restart to fix it. I tried to open up the laptop, but a few screws were too hard and stuck lol so I gave up. and I cleaned the vents of the dust.

Hey @amro2,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

You mentioned that you hear a thud and the HP Pavilion Notebook - 15-p248ne vibrates when this happens. You thought that it sounded like the fan touched something in rotation. I also watched the YouTube video that you had provided for me. This was very helpful! Thank you.

Perhaps one of the possibilities is that the fan should be cleaned.

Even if you had not indicated that you do not encounter any problems with the heat, there is a document called a Fan is Noisy and runs constantly. Now, my question is: should I expect as a result to a computer store, or should I go to a center of HP? It will make me pay so much? I live in India.

Also, is it possible that this is another thing that a fan dirty which is the cause?

  • Pavilion 15-p114dx: HP Pavilion 15-p114dx loud fan noise

Just got my spouse the Pavilion 15-p114dx (put in place today), and I noticed that the fan is noisy sporadically.

Will it work alone for a few minutes, then you will hear it become progressively stronger, then it's all just loud and clear and I can clearly hear it across the room.  He's going to stay strong for about 60 seconds then calms down again once.

Is this normal for this machine?  Should I be worried?

Whatever he's Word and several websites (CNN, BBC, CNBC and its various email accounts)... Is there something I can do?

Is it because these sites constantly update?  He used Chrome and Firefox and Internet Explorer and it happened on all three browsers.

    Hi @paditur ,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I hope you have a great experience with us!

I see that you are worried about the sound of your fan. You have nothing to worry the fan will run almost all the time and this behavior is normal for laptop computers. If you are really worried then clean it using this document from HP reduce the heat inside the PC to prevent overheating.

  • Satellite A500-025 - high and loud fan with some vibrations

MY new Toshiba has its fan cooling at the top with a vibration when I turn on the computer first.
After about a minute the fan speed goes down as does the noise and vibration of the fan.

Y at - it a bios upgrade or adjustment on the A500-025 to prevent this?
It almost looks like when you first turn it on, the fan setting is high then then adjusts.

    Thank you.

    > Y at - it a bios upgrade or adjustment on the A500-025 to prevent this?
    > It seems that when you first turn it on, the fan setting is high then then adjusts.

This happens in my portable fans too and as much as I know there is nothing unusual
This does not happen always, but each time when the laptop fell very long and if the temperature is higher

I think that fans run faster for a few seconds to release the dirt among the cooling modules and calibrate the speed once again
I wouldn't be worried is this fan behaviour maintained only for a few seconds

    Welcome them

  • Loud fan noise (Inspiron 15 5548)

For some reason, my computer has frequently produced a loud fan noise when I'm with her. For most of the time, it is silent. However, there are often times where I didn't even open several Web pages, but it grows stronger. There are two levels of intensity sound (the second level is so strong that it can attract the attention of people sitting next to me).

It's only a laptop 2 months old, so I'm not sure why it becomes strong. Also, I have 12 GB of RAM, which adds to my confusion.

Any suggestions or reasoning? Thank you!

  • (R5 Aurora Alienware desktop computer) loud fan noise

Hi, I recently bought a desktop computer Alienware Aurora R5 for the games.

It has graphics GTX 1070, 32 GB of RAM and i7 CPU.

The PC itself is great and if I play movies/music or make internet surfing is very quiet.

But if I try to make games with it the fan noise becomes unbearably high... almost like an airplane taking off.

I updated my BIOS and DELL technician has replaced all fans inside the PC, but they do not at all help.

Are there not in some way you can help me? Thank you in advance!

Recommendation to receive a block of power SUPPLY from Dell free exchange:

I use my Aurora R5 with an i7 7600 and GTX 1070 mainly for RVS with a live HTC and had the same problem with the PSU 460W fan revving up and down all the time without load on the machine (!) and open a folder with Dell online support. In the process, I could prove that the behaviour of the PSU is a systematic failure, which can be reproduced as follows:

If you run a diagnostic self-test on BACK ePSA / bios level (press F12 repeatedly during the startup of your PC) during the game "memory test" PSU fan will do limit it sounds known. To make sure that it is not the CPU or caissons fans you can run the test with the case open, fan power supply sounds diffently.

In Windows 10 If you open "Steam VR" usually the PSU revvs down, but as soon as you close (!) VR steam revvs fan power supply upwards like crazy for at least a minute without any load to the machine.

Dell support yesterday confirmed they got the same systematic results and agreed to share the power supply to my home free of charge under warranty and a technique.

During the debate, I'm going to scrutiny if the swap it 1:1 or replaced by another type of power supply.

If your diet of nuisance is model D460AM, the above remedies / method implies that you may receive a repeat offender if they send another D460AM

  • (Redirected) The Alienware 51 x fan noise and how I fixed it

My fan noise escaped from the GPU.  It was as if something was touching the blades of the fan made a rattling noise very rapid making stronger that the fan is accelerated to cool the GPU.  I took the GPU to one when I did I saw the problem immediately.  A thread that incorporate in the fan blades well.  I repositioned the wire, everything closed upwards, and it works fine now perfectly silent.  I can see where quality assurance has not found this problem since I felt that way during the expedition.  I have a slight Alienware/Dell for not doing a better job with cable management.  I don't want to say so far, I like this new computer, I got the X 51 high range and it works any faster than greased lightning.

  • Fan noise and satellite R20

    Guys,

I bought the Satellite R20 tablet pc with the intention to take it to my classes. There is a serious problem, though – the top fan is REALLY loud, it fits like a turbine sometimes - and disturbs the whole class.

Is any way to solve this problem and make the laptop to run in silent mode?

Also, I have problems with the battery... it will hold only 1 h 30 minutes MAXIMUM.

Overall, I am very disappointed with the purchase, the device is SO bulky! :(

Thank you much for the help.

    Hello

Sounds like the fan needs to be replaced, or it has something stuck inside.

Take it to a service center authorized to repair.

    Hello

It may be an overheating problem and it is normally the main reason for your problem.

    .

If it's a hardware problem, it would not not to restart.

That said, it is possible to have a hairline cracks in the motherboard, etc, which becomes obvious as soon as it warms up.

Check vents for hair, dust, etc. and do not use a laptop when it is based on material surfaces: bedspreads, blankets, etc.

If the problem persists, because it of a laptop, bring it to a local computer and reliable repair shop and get them to open and clean the dust inside...

I noticed that when the CPU temperature is greater than 50 c, fan comes on, and when the bellows 50 c the fan is off. This happens on Windows 7 and Ubuntu 14.04. Have you cleaned the slot of ventilation with a vacuum cleaner?

If there is no change, you must clean with an air blower or a feather duster to spray.

  • Help with fft vibrations without using the package of noise and vibrations

I'm looking for help in the analysis of vibrations. I use an example updated NI 9233 VI, to get a signal from the accelerometer for display using a FFT power spectrum. I'm not entirely sure if it works, because it's the first time I've ever done vibration analysis on LabView. So if you could explain a thing or two about vibrations or TFF, I'd be more than willing to hear from you. I have included my code along with a photo of an analysis of vibration of the computer, I work with. (even when I don't know if his work that I just thought it would be good to show an output)

    Hi Brandon,.

You can use the FFT Complex (photo attached) to calculate the magnitude of the acceleration at different frequencies. You will need to take a little further to build a new waveform with this release, which includes d0, df and the output of the FFT. In order to calculate the df, please refer to the user manual on page 10-3. With respect to the scale that is output by the FFT, it must be same as input. Hope this helps to answer your questions. Thank you!
