Pavilion 17: upgrade of guaranteed Ram
Hi, I have a HP Pavilion 17 laptop g133cy and it has 6 GB of Ram and I want to upgrade to 8GBs. but there are some covers more than 2 screws and I was wondering if removing them it will void the warranty on my laptop? I did the upgrade anyway if the warranty is void now and then its my fault, but normally I don't need ot use it until a few years down the road. But that void my warranty?

Remove the battery (see battery on page 27)
Remove the optical drive (see optical drive on page 28)
Remove the bottom cover (see low cover to page 32)
The parts can be ordered from HP part Surfer.
Select the country or region on the right.

Satellite L50 - B - 2 5 - upgrade of guaranteed RAM VS
Hello
I have a laptop Satellite L50 - B - 2 5 and Im wondering if I lose the warranty if I upgrade the RAM from 4 GB to 8 GB. I have a 4 GB RAM module and I want to insert myself, but I am afraid of losing the warranty if I open the case.
Thanks for your help.
Way General upgrade RAM will not void the warranty but your L50 - B has a specific design and it is not distinct from the cover of RAM in the lower corner. So you do not have access to the RAM slots. In your case the whole bottom cover must be removed, and you should not do this.
My advice to you is to contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and ask for help.

Pavilion 15z p000 Beats Audio - RAM upgrade
I have a HP Pavilion 15z p000 with Beats Audio running Windows 8.1. I want to upgrade the memory (RAM), but I do not see the access panels on the underside of the laptop which would make it easy to change memory cards. I did find diagrams or instructions in the user manual, and I found no help on internet videos. I'm pretty handy with computers and upgrading equipment, so I'm not afraid to take things apart and put them back together. But I would like to get advice and instructions on this before I try to go in 'blind '. Thank you!
Here is a nice tutorial.

I think that is to make the memory, you need to take the new step in the removal of the motherboard (not shown here). I think that your maximum memory is 8 GB and you can have only one slot.

Pavilion DV8000 upgrade CPU, RAM, HD &; OS
Hello world
I have a HP Pavilion Dv8000 (Dv8336ea is the exact model number). I intend to upgrade the processor, RAM, hard drive and OS and have a few questions about the limits of upgrade on this computer.
He is currently running XP pro, but I intend to upgrade the operating system to Windows 7 64-bit, if I can find an upgrade of the CPU 64 bit appropriate.
The vehicle currently has an Intel centrino Duo CPU T2300, but I'm not sure which processors are compatible. y at - it an easy way to identify compatibility? I know that it can be removed, but what would be an upgrade recommended for optimal performance?
Is there a limit to the size of the hard drive, can I install it? He had a hard duel disks. Is there a problem with the installation of a hard drive 7200 RPM? It's the BIOS that limits the size of the hard drive that can be installed?
Finally, what would be the limit for RAM after CPU and operating system upgraded. What defines the limits of the RAM in a computer?
Help with any or all of these Q greatly appreciated!
Hello:
The GeForce Go 7600 is a graphic adapter Windows 7 and should be able to run all the pleasure of the eyes in Windows 7 and have the same resolution that you had in XP.
Try the latest nVidia driver released for it.
http://www.nvidia.com/object/geforce_notebook_winvista_win7_64bit_179.48_beta.html
I see that you have a wide screen monitor... According to the resolution of your screen, with the appropriate driver, he should be able to get 1440 x 900. That should give you the view you've been waiting for.
3 GB of memory can be used with a 4 GB max RAM capacity is perfectly normal, even with a 64 bit OS. You need the chipset Intel 965 for the 64-bit OS in order to 'see' all 4 GB of memory. You have the 945 chipset.

Example: Pavilion 15-n201ax: gpu and ram upgrades
Hello, I want to k now can I put my laptop (Pavilion 15-n201ax) gpu and ram? Thanks in advance!
Number on the GPU. You already have the top of the page mother/processor board and there is no way to add or replace it with a better graphics in any system. On memory, you have 8 GB. This is the Manual:
Officially, the maximum is 12 concerts but here users have reported success with 16. You do not have an easily accessible memory Bay and you should have an open memory slot to add a SO-DIMM DDR3L-1600 to upgrade memory. I seriously doubt you will see much of a difference, but I have 16 gigs in my laptop then I say, go ahead.

Satellite A80 - after sound upgrade code only RAM
Hello
Just tried to update my RAM of the original 512 MB to 2 GB but now empty black screen and beep code: triple - single - triple - single
I have downloaded and run the upgrade of BIOS from the toshiba site - but no change. I also tried to install the RAM 1 GB at a time, but no difference. Can anyone help?
Thank you
Hello
Use you to upgrade 2 GB RAM a module or two 1 GB modules?
What are the exact specifications of the RAM? You should check if they are compatible with the laptop.I checked the Satellite A80 manual and it can be upgraded to 2 GB of RAM. Therefore, you can use two modules of 1 GB with PC2100 DDR - RAM specification.
Check this box! Also two identical modules must be installed to avoid compatibility problems.
I have good experiences with the Kingston modules. -

My Pavilion dv6 upgraded to windows 10 what happened to my external screen does not
Hi @Jake08,
Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A place where you can find solutions for your problems with the help of the community!
I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked in your question about your HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook and questions with external screen works not properly. You can try this without the connected external monitor.
In Device Manager, click the arrow next to display adapters to expand this category
Right-click on the graph, and then select Update driver software if more than 1 graphic adapter do 1 at a time.
Select search automatically for updated driver software. The laptop must find and automatically install the updated driver
Once the installation is complete, restart your laptop. You can try to use the Windows Update Troubleshooter to fix updates that do not come through Windows 10. Please restart the laptop twice to make sure that all updates are completed!
Please let me know how it goes.
Thank you.

HP Pavilion x 360 13-s120nr: RAM upgrade
I was just wondering if I would be able to update my ram 8 GB instead of 4 GB that I already installed on my HP Pavilion x 360 13 - s120nr. My memory under the specification of this laptop says 4 GB of SDRAM DDR3L with only one slot, but I'm not a hundred percent sure what it means. I would really appreciate the help, thanks.
Hello
This means that to achieve the 8 GB is the maximum, you must remove the 4 GB module and install a compatible 8 GB.

6199ee Pavilion - LX218EA: upgrade of ram hp pavilion dv6-6199ee
can I switch from ram to my labtop hp pavilion dv6-6199ee from 8g to 16g?
Hello
The following link shows its specifications:
It says clearly: expandable up to 8 GB of DDR3 memory (means 8GB max).
But the maintenance and Service Guide says, it uses Intel processor (CPU) for this purpose, you can upgrade to 16 GB (page 5):
Please use the right part on page 66 of the manuals or at least same specs above.
Kind regards.

Pavilion DV7: upgrading RAM dv7
Hello
I have a Pavilion dv7, 2230sa (CNF9491PVP) with 4 GB of RAM. I would like to upgrade to 8 GB (2 x 4 GB). But, I don't know what type of RAM to buy. There are several specifications (667 800... MHz or PC2-5300, 6400...).
You might it sort my problem please? (Sorry for my English)

Good news, bad news. The good news is that it can take 8 gigs. The bad news is that it's DDR2-800 memory. 8 GB is very expensive:
Not a typing mistake. You are looking at a price of at least $150 to get this memory of any reputable vendor.

HP pavilion n242se 15: 16 GB RAM upgrade
Hello
I have a hp pavilion 15 n242se with 8 GB of RAM
I want to move to 16 GB of RAM
Can you help me please?I don't know what is the best type of RAM on my device.
See page 42 of the manual here:
The specs say your laptop came with 4 gigs, how should it now 8? It has two slots and the manual says it can take 12 concerts, a 4 GB and 8 GB module to the module, but we found here that 16 gigs, or 2 x 8. What you need to make sure of depends on what you already have. If you have a single module of 8 GB, I'll try to find the same. If you have 2 x 4 GB, you will need to replace them anyway and this is the memory 8 GB module specified:
Module memory 8 GB PC3L 12800 1600 Mhz Shared 693374-001 for which would not compatible:
One thing I'll add is that many computers users are disappointed with the 8 GB for 16 gig upgrade. 8 GB is a lot of memory and you can't even use the 8 concerts together so that the upgrade will have very little effect on performance. But in your case, the upgrade is easy to do and if you want to upgrade is your call. Post back if you have any other questions.
