Pavilion a556x: HPLIP updated to 3.15.2 fails to make step.

Not my first rodeo with hplip.

Properly installed source and used

hplip - 3.13.10
hplip - 3.13.11
hplip - 3.14.10
hplip - 3.14.4

I always follow the directions for Centos6, 32 bit, on this page:

http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-Web/install/manual/distros/CentOS.html

Now seeks to update for hplip - 3.15.2, as requested.

Here is the transcript of failure 'make' step, conducted as a user:

What has gone wrong?

Thank you

Oops, my bad.

Decompressed archive as root, not the user, so file hplip - 3.15.2 due incorrect permissions.

That fixed, and now I see the usual blizzard of nonsense is going to do.

See a different blizzard of nonsense to make install as root.

Didn't see a statement of success for either, but I don't remember if it of normal or not.

Hplip updates are frequent enough to be slightly annoying,

but not so common that I remember they looked like the last time.

Maybe just a tick more information on the instructions page.

as "is that the last few lines of a good performance" of every aspect of the stage as,

It would be nice.  OTOH, the page of instructions is already intimidating and includes more than one page.

  • HP Pavilion DV6: Windows update search in infinite loop - works is not in Windows 7

    Hello

I reinstalled a fresh copy of Windows 7 Premium Edition on a HP Pavilion DV6 laptop after changing the hard drive failed. My first attempt at the time. After installing all the drivers I could find on the site of HP, I was up and running, but done Windows Update always looking. I tried all the advice, suggestions and driver downloads, I read it, but nothing works. Windows Update Standalone Installer cycles constantly as well. Almost everything I download to fix this problems requires stand-alone Windows Installer for installation. Coincidentally, Windows Defender does not update either.  Can someone help this newbie? I appreciate your help.

After 9.2 update I can no longer drag to make fast-forward or rewind during playback of the video. I could do those before the update. I can now only click to jump forwards or backwards in 10 second increments. However, if I stop the video I can then drag to move forward or backward. I tried this on Netflix and Hulu with similar results. Apple TV restarting is not to solve the problem.

Maybe a bug in the new version?  Does anyone else know this?

    Thank you!

Many people complain when they reach around in the dark watching a movie they press and cause the movie ff or rwd.

I think that this version tried to improve the situation by requiring the user to press and release the button then slide as formerly.
