Pavilion g6-1325sa: lost Windows 7 64 bit

Hello

I got a laptop HP Pavilion g6-1325sa Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit for my birthday about 2-3 years ago now and a situation that happened earlier that forced me to erase my hard drive completely, remove the Windows hard disk operating system entirely and made me go to Ubuntu I had no BONES. I am now trying to restore my OS to Windows 7 and am having some problems trying to find the right place. I went on the Windows website and tried to download the operating system and typed in my serial number of the license which is always on the bottom of my laptop. Windows gave me an error saying that HP are those who do I contact to get my operating system. While browsing the site, all I get are tutorials on how to restore a laptop with Windows 7 already on it or tutorials without relevance along these lines, but nothing that helps me. I'm missing the page where I enter my serial number and retrieve my OS or HP will try to make me pay for a brand new operating system, regardless of the fact that I have the code for my old?

Any help is very appreciated,
James

What you need is recovery discs and (not series) key located on the COA sticker on the bottom of the computer, or maybe in the battery compartment.

If you have not created recovery disks when you got the computer, then you will have to order them.

If you live in the USA/Canada, call HP at this number 1-800-334-5144 and see if you can still get a set of recovery disks.  Otherwise the site worldwide: http://welcome.hp.com/country/w1/en/support.html
