  I wish I could have custom BB according to disk space notification scripts. We have a DBA who would like to be alerted to 80%, but we want to stay in bed until at least 90% or maybe 95%. Is this possible? Also, I wish I could take all the text in the alert, leaving only the host name and the problem. We have no need for the links of the acknowledgement of receipt sent to each alert.

  You can generate custom notifications from the BB management servers that are running on UNIX/Linux platforms. Custom notification scripts can be found in $BBHOME/ext/pg on the BBServer and are called by the notification rules that start with 'ext-', followed by the name of script and a hyphen 'scriptname-', followed by an e-mail address. A notification for a custom script rule might look like:

  You can read all about how to create a custom notification script by launching the BBServer online help documentation and search for 'Create a custom notification Script'.

  See page 51 for hard drive access. Note the connector that connects the bare hard drive to the motherboard. You will need to reuse the parts caddy/connector/mylar shield from the old drive.

  Your laptop SATA ports are SATA II. In most cases, if it doesn't have USB 3.0, it also doesn't have SATA III. Your don't have any USB 3.0. However, SATA-III hard disks 2.5 inches wide and 7 or 9.5 mm thick will work fine. SATA III interface is backward compatible with SATA-II.  I guess that you have chosen the WD Blue 5400 RPM drive due to their low cost, but it would be well worth an extra 10 or $15 to have a disk of 7200 RPM like the WD Black or this one:

  1 TB hard drive (676521-001) would be able to store the data of most, in terms of capacity of maximum support.

• HP pavilion m7-1015dx: 1015dx how to remove the motherboard

  I am trying to replace the fan in the system on my m7-1015dx, and I'm stuck at the withdrawal of the motherboard.  I followed the user guide and I mode of elimination, but I'm not physically able with the kidnapping.  Specifically, I can't remove the power cable (I'm paranoid about using too much force) and I can not lift the card completely.

  Anyone know any video tutorials for this procedure?  I think it will be a little easier if I can see specific indications in which some cables are removed and the angles at which the motherboard is waved on.

  I found and watched a lot of youtube videos for the disassembly of other portable hp computers, but nothing for my model specific, or even similar material available.

  Yes, you can add it. A 160 GB ssd is listed as compatible, but I think that the ability is not limited.

  What I did when I replaced my hard drive with an ssd has been to perform a new installation of Windows (same version) using the product number (do not register Windows online!) at the bottom of the laptop. Then I waited a message to record the OS and saved on the phone. Maybe a recovery reduced image created in the HP Recovery Manager can restore the system of origin on an SSD. These are usually smaller than the original hard drives and the recovery process ends with an error with the original image recovery disks.

  Edit: you will need a support (in case you want to keep the old hdd in the secondary hard drive Bay) etc so the right part number is: 681976-001. Run the part number on google or ebay to get it.

  It would be a way to do it. Something like

  Or you can get the cluster also of the virtual machine, like this

  This is of course not as powerful as when you would do that with the cmdlet Get-View.

  Via recursive Parent the VirtualMachine object property and a bit of coding, you can also find the cluster in which the virtual machine is located.

  Upgrade of a card in a HP laptop wireless, it's nothing less than a nightmare.

  As you can see in the list of adapters wireless supported (Chapter 3, page 27), that your laptop is not yet listed as supported.

  The only supported wireless card that meets your demand is the Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6230 WLAN with HP Part # 670691-001.  But the part number is wrong. This is the part number for the card Ralink have you when you check the HP part store.

  You can buy only a wireless card listed in the service manual and it must have the part number HP on it or it won't work.

  So, I have to say that there is no wireless card compatible with your laptop that meets your upgrade request.

  Press the power button and then immediately begin to hit the F2 key. Who calls on the PC Diagnostics utility. Use the components section to test the touchpad.

  You can connect a mouse to an available usb port while you troubleshoot the touchpad.

  See the following image. Are sure you you have not disabled the touchpad accidentallly? Is there only one led on to the upper left of the touchpad?

  Trying to do a clean install of win7 on a new ssd.  Seems to go well until the restart time.  then things go downhill from there, until nothing responds. Nothing I try to help. I have tried both a win7 iso, and a disc drive, I have my office.  Same results.  Is it possible to do a restore on a new ssd?  If so, how?

  Sometimes, you need to install the sata drivers in order for W7 install correctly.

  Extract (copy) the files on a USB FlashDrive without all records.

  With the flash player and the installation of W7 media connected to the computer, boot from the installation of W7 media.

  After selecting the install now option, select the training - Advanced menu, Options and select the option load a driver.

  You should now see the storage driver files listed.

  If you check the box, it only includes the compatible driver.

  Follow the prompts and I hope, will install W7.

• What are the options I have to upgrade the Wifi in the HP Pavilion Notebook M7-1015DX

  The Pavilion M7-1015DX laptop I is equipped with a RALink RT5390R 1.1 802.11b/g/n wireless adapter.  He would go only to 54 Mbps until I found a link to RALinktech to get an updated driver which allows me now to get 150mbps.  But this is only half of what I can potentially get with my router.  I did research on the other card options wireless adapter HP with 'compatible' with this laptop.  As far as I see it, all are the same.  They have only max to 150mbps.

  The listed reference numbers are 655795-001, 675794-001, 657325-001 670691-001.

  I need a replacement of the wireless network card that can achieve 300mbps using 802.11n.  All HP part numbers I listed are capable of 300mbps, or are there others that I can look at and buy?

  With or without the bluetooth feature, no matter, I just need 300mbps talk to my router NetGear dual band.

  I had the adapter wireless Intel Centrino Advanced - N 6230 works with the correct drivers now on this series of portable M7.

  Also note: it's just a card Intel Centrino ordinary, not the ch (from what I can tell) and without a label to the HP part about this number.

  Wireless Intel, Intel PROSet and Intel my WiFi for Windows 7 drivers

  The installation may or may not be delicate on your end.  It was for me and the package would not install right.  Go to the real folder that it expanded the installation files, and go to the win7\S64\Install folder and run Setup from there.

  The installation takes a few moments, so be patient.  If Device Manager is open, you will see the detected devices and appearing as the drivers are installed.  Once installation is complete, you'll see a map of Bluetooth radio and at least 4 new entries under Network Adpaters.

  I am now running at the full 300Mbps, on 2.4 Ghz and can easily connect to 5.4 Ghz on my router Netgear Dual Band, but at 54 Mbps.  (But I can probably change the channel on the router and get a faster connection speed.)

  I strongly suspect that the 6230 model is not the only one who can work on this laptop, as the driver of HP is not specific to what model numbers of the adaters wireless Intel Centrino Advanced-N, then you might be able to run newer models, since we now know that this series wireless adapter is in the white list in the BIOS.
