Pavilion P6610f MV417AA #ABA: MODEL PAVILION P6610F BM417AA with ALVORIX-GL8E motherboard and AMD 785 chipset does support UEFI

I just plugged a 4 TB WD external hard drive.  NOT too much computer.  NEED HELP!  The computer display as free of 3.63 to 3.63 TB properties.  It was just plug n play set up - I did nothing besides plug it.  I think that it is in the MBR format.  I really don't know about the MBR vs. GPT and how the drive must be formatted, but I understand that the motherboard must support UEFI if I change to TPG and I still want to add MBR for a starting System.  I'm so confused.  Help, please.

Hello

I see that your question is a question of HP.  Too much misleading information.

  • HP Pavilion 1053 does support UEFI?

    Hello

Please, I would like to know if my pc HP PAVILION 1053 supports UEFI (win pro 64-bit), because:

-In the bios, I have a menu called 'UEFI TOOLS',

    - But, on the page to download the drivers from the computer, here, there is nothing for the UEFI.

If my pc supports UEFI, do I install the UEIF HP DIAGNOSTIC TOOL to make it work? Because now, when I click on the menu "UEFI", nothing happens.

    With kindness.

Hello faroukal, from your description of the events that you are experiencing, they are all normal.

The black screen with cursor blinking in the upper left corner is normal for all systems.

It is when the BIOS/UEFI running control system of the operating system, which in your case is - this Windows 7 Pro.

The UEFI functionality isn't actually the BIOS of old style, but a code of the firmware that is added to the BIOS. Legacy devices means that they are controlled by the UEFI and not the BIOS.

You should see a section that you can use for the BIOS and not the UEFI, but I suggest letting the UFEI in the control of legacy devices. It's better that the BIOS control works.

You should be able to locate the command of Start Menu in the BIOS. You should be able to select:

    UEFI boot sources

    Sources of boot legacy

    ATAPI CD-ROM

    Hard drive

    (WDC WD30000HLF-60G6U2)

    Network controller.

This is just an example and would not be the exact options for your system.

  • Using instrumented hammer model PCB 086D 50 with the NI9234 module and chassis OR cDAQ 9188

    Hi all

I need to try to shock with a PCB 086D 50 instrumented hammer hammer. I use the chassis OR cDAQ-9188 with the NI9205 and NI9234 modules. The hammer is connected to the NI9234 and accelerometers are connected to NI9205.

When I test the modules in SignalExpress I get very good results for the dog, but the accelerometers are ok. Also, if I am controlled the hammer OR Max where I have the option to activate the IEPE the result is ok. In SignalExpress, I couldn't find the option to activate IEPE.

I have no experience using software, but I started to learn. Does that mean that I need to program the system for my setup in LabVIEW? Also, the installer of the equipment makes sense, the modules that I plugged on the cDAQ can be used simultaneously? Should I have the additional device in order to use the hammer with cDAQ 9188?

    Thank you very much

    Emina

You can enable IEPE in SignalExpress. Here is a configuration for a single power hammer and three accelerometers a 9234-related.

You don't mention the model for accelerometers. They are also the IEPE sensors? If so, have what conditioning of signals you added before the 9205?

The Assistant Sound and Vibration (built on SignalExpress) contains an example of Impact Test. The Sound and Vibration Toolkit comes with a sample project for the impact test. With free evaluation period, go ahead and look at how one of these examples is implementing the configuration and the triggered acquisition.

  • Pavilion 17-e020us: upgrade of processor on HP Pavilion e020us 17 with Core i3 - 3110M

    Hello

I woud like to upgrade the processor in my HP Pavilion notebook e020us 17.  It currently has an Intel Core i3 processor - 3110 m dual-core clocked at 2.40 GHz.  I realize that upgrading the processor in my model means also I need a new motherboard and heatsink of heat, and I'm ready to replace the parts too.

I'm looking for a quad-core processor that can run at more than 3 GHz (it's OK if the base frequency is less, so that it can Turbo / be overclocked to over 3 GHz).

If it helps, I know that the current laptop processor TDP is 35W; When I'm upgrading, I'm looking to improve performance (I don't care if it lowers the battery life and uses more energy).  The laptop currently is not a battery (that it came with death), and it's the one he used: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Genuine-47WH-HP-Pavilion-PI06-14-E000-15-E000-710416-001-HSTNN-UB4N-Battery...  .  The reason why I mention this is that some new mobile processors, like this: http://ark.intel.com/products/88972/Intel-Core-i7-6920HQ-Processor-8M-Cache-up-to-3_80-GHz, consume more energy, but have better performance.  Can I get a processor like this one that consumes more energy, but is more powerful (that one would work?)?  If so, what other parts that would replace?

If you need to know anything else about the specs of the laptop, you can find it here: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03782483.

So, who's the best processor I can update that fits my needs (see the second paragraph), regardless of the cost?  What other components should I buy?  Links for what I need would be great!

Thank you very much to all who have responded.

    Hello

There is a list of CPUS to support for the series on page #2 of the Service Guide and Maintenance in the following link:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/product/HP-Pavilion-17-notebook-PC-series/5375409/model/5395210/manuals

Please don't ask why mw but go to page 85 to get the right for selected CPU part number and order of HP. The document also shows you how to replace the CPU.

And if you ask my why, my answer: in many cases, we allowed HP part number, buyning also the chance to make it work is 50-50.

    Kind regards.

  • How to access the BIOS on a Pavilion Elite e9237c with mouse and keyboard wireless?

I have a desktop computer Pavilion Elite e9237 with a wireless keyboard and mouse. I tried to access the BIOS by pressing F10 at startup with no luck, and I can't access any of the other menus for the start-up eiither. I don't have a PS/2 port on my computer, so I can't get a wired keyboard and mouse. Does anyone know how to access the BIOS with this configuration?

I bought a USB keyboard and he answered in the same way... No bios access. I then studied why it did not work and discovered that it was the way in which he has been connected to the computer. I had initially plugged into a USB hub when he was not working and I moved it directly into a USB port and it works! I plugged my keyboard wireless directly into the USB port and it works too! Thanks for your help... I wouldn't have thought of it if it wasn't for to recommend you the USB keyboard.

  • HP Pavilion 15-n057sr: AMD graphics card does not work on windows 10

    Hello!

I have an AMD graphics card in my laptop, but there is no drivers for windows 10 forher.

Installation driver Windows 8.1, latest drivers from amd or windows has always led to a screen of death, and after him, he appears each time you start. To solve it, I fix it using restore points. So, why hp doesn't have a driver for his own material? I'm looking for a working one?

    Thank you in advance.

OK... so what this means is that, while HP provides two models of this laptop, with pre-installed Win8x and the other with Win10, they have different hardware.  The Win10 version apparently does NOT use the AMD chipset, so HP provides no driver for it.

This means that you're stuck with having upgraded a laptop computer for which there aren't the necessary drivers for HP Win10, and given that HP no longer produces Win10 drivers for older laptops, this situation will not improve over time.

If you want to have all the features on your laptop, you should consider to return to Win8xs - and that the upgrade of Win10 is known to corrupt recovery information HP OEM, the ONLY way to do that is using recovery media HP to restore laptop factory.

  • Pavilion dv6-6c14nr: launch of the browser and redirecting on several occasions

For the last two days, I had a problem frustrating with my browser/computer - the browser will be repeated launch or redirect to the home page.  To be more precise, if the focus is on an active browser window (in other words, if this is the app that I use or this is the last application, I clicked on), the browser will redirect to the home screen.  If, however, the emphasis is on another application, a new browser window will be launched.  This problem occurs regardless of the browser that I use (and when a new browser window opens, it is my default browser, Chrome, and it opens to my home page, a new empty tab).  When I was working in Visual Studio, it opens the browser which belongs to VS, then repeatedly redirected to the home page by default for this browser. The frequency with which this happens varies, once every few minutes, at most of the time (more than once per second) - I got 40 + windows browser in less than a few minutes. I removed all of the Add-Ins and Extensions, under the assumption that one of them could be the cause of the problem - no luck.

I read similar messages on the HP Board by people who appear to have been able to solve this problem, despite the attempt of everything, including the relocation of the browsers and even reformat the hard disk!  Someone suggested that fixing file hosts worked for her, but I checked my and it seems to be as it should.

In fact, I wonder if this could be a hardware problem any. Seems not intuitive for me, of course, but here's the thing... a few days previously, when booting, I saw some kind of error about my fan works not properly.  I installed Speccy (by Piriform) to monitor the conditions of my system and noticed that my computer has been running hot from time to time. So, I know this sounds nuts, but I put an ice pack under my laptop (well, two trays full of ice in an oversized Ziplock bag) and the problem seems to have slowed down a bit.  Also, I noticed that this problem seems quite widespread on HP Pavilion machines.

Is it possible to fix this? Or will I stuck buying a new laptop? Although laptops are really cheap now, I really can't afford it. I suspect that the replacement of the fan would cost almost as much as a new laptop. But I can't work on it like that! Any ideas or suggestions?

    Thank you!

    Traci

Hello and thanks for your advice and comments.  After reviewing the comments posted to some old messages to people with similar problems, I think I understand the problem, but also a solution in the short term...

Apparently a fan problem is originally the computer overheats a little, and the heat is initially somehow the computer thinks that the shortcut for 'WWW-Home' is pressed several times (not sure of the mechanics behind this, but the shortcut implies the F5 key, which is located in one of the hottest areas of the computer).  The warmer the computer becomes, is more frequently as she considers the shortcut key display press and more frequently a new browser is launched.  So, a quick solution to the problem - disable the shortcut key (by editing the registry or by using a software like KeyTweak - the code for the key is 144, btw). Of course, I'll replace my fan in the next few days (I have a bag of ice below pending), but it's nice to have the use of my computer until there!

Based on the other posts, I've read, this problem seems quite common for my laptop model - a HP Pavilion dv6 - 6 c 14nr.  Most of the messages I read involved HP pavilions, and many of them were a HP Pavilion dv6 or similar.  Others with the same problem seem to have experienced worsening much more that what I have - many of them actually reformat the hard drive when nothing else worked - and if this still does not solve the problem for them, they got rid of their HP laptop. Perhaps HP can save this information as a 'known problem' and view the Guide somewhere for support staff and users to easily find?

    Thanks again!

  • HP Pavilion dv6 5CH1342RW4: maximum capacity of RAM and GPU compatible

    I have a HP Pavilion dv6 5CH1342RW4 laptop computer Intel Core i7-2670QM CPU @ 2.20 GHz.

What is the maximum RAM of my laptop? It came with 6 GB (2 GB SODIMM ELPIDA 1333 MHz
4 GB SODIMM Micron), now I want to upgrade.  It will be up to 8GB, 16 GB, or even?

And on my his AMD Radeon HD M 7400 gpu. I would also like to update in a more advanced gpu. What are the compatible gpu for my laptop?

Hope to here from you soon guys. Thank you!

8 GB (2 x 4 GB modules) is your maximum memory and there is no way to upgrade the GPU. It is soldered to the motherboard and cannot be removed or replaced. The numbers you supply are not portable or product model number we would need for more specific information. There may be another motherboard that you could install which would have slightly better graphics, but it would be, at best, a slight improvement for a significant cost and hassle.

  • HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC: restore the system and drivers

Hello. A few days ago I faced a bad experience with my laptop HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC. System crashed. At any time, I tried to turn it on, an error message appears and the system was blocked. The message was: FILE: \BOOT\BCD status 0xc000000f, asking for the disc of Windows 7 system running. But the system disk did not run at all. I checked the situation and found the hard drive with 6 partitions instead of 2. I found a named partition BOOT (X which was a replica of C:.)  When I tried to restore the system with the recovery disc, something has obtained control of the recovery disc, so that C: might not be formatted; nor was X:. Also, I tried to cancel the file in X: but disc was protected and does not allow changes. If only I could get my uninstalled hard drive and all partitions have been cleaned. I got my hard drive cleaned perfectly, but my recovery disk can be installed correctly. So, the system has not yet restored. My question is: what should I do to get my laptop with the system restore? any ideas?

Based on the age on your computer, it could come from the factory with the scores 5 or more. It is common on newer computers that use UEFI and GPT partitions. "Windows 7 system disc", the computer asking wass is a Windows 7 repair disc or a Windows 7 installation disc. None of these discs come with your HP computer and must be downloaded or created in Windows.

Start by using your HP recovery disk set (should be DVD 3 or more). Insert the #1 disc and restart your computer to start the process. Insert the remaining disks as requested, until the recovery is complete.

If this does not work, and you can read the product key 25 character Microsoft Windows 7 on th COST Microsoft attached to your computer, see "How to install Windows 7 without the disc" for download Windows 7 SP1, create the Windows installation DVD and install Windows 7.  If you prefer to install Windows 7 from a USB Flash drive, please download the Windows 7 USB/DVD download tool to create a Windows 7 SP1 USB Flash Drive. After the installation of Windows by using this method, you will have is more HP or software customizations. Hi Paulsproblem,

This exact error message, this is what I needed! This status.msi is part of a HP printer installation. You have recently installed a HP or made a update to one? The solution is to uninstall and reinstall the printer software. If you have an HP printer not informed me the model and I can give you a link to the software online if you don't have the original CD.

Name of product: notebook pc HP Pavilion G4-1345tx

Need help on how to solve my problem about installing graphics drivers for my laptop. I replaced my HARD drive today since the hardware problems encountered an original and I was not able to recover all the files of it. I have download all the drivers from the HP site and it installed without any problem until I arrive at SP61152 (Intel HD Graphic Driver). When installing this error message has occurred (this computer does not meet the minimum requirements to install this software).  Also, I can't find the AMD Catalyst Control Center that I have used before when tweaking performance for my applications. I looked in the spec of my card mother HP and there is no additional slots to add adapters, no PCI, PCI-e or anything that looks like

as if you can add anything. I know that the Firewire to USB converters cable do NOT work, any suggestions please

There are USB firewire converters, but I think it will be a situation of hit or miss--they are unable to work or perform very well.

The only option I can think of that would work would be to use AV out on the camera and a USB capture card that records on the computer.
You can also consider going back to the computer and get a different model that is built in firewire support or at least an extension connector in order to get an expansion card.
