Pavilion s5229uk VG238AA #ABU: System Recovery

I replaced the HDD with a SSD Crucial.  I'm trying to recover from sytem with the disks 'System Recovery' four HP I bought in 2011 when my first HARD drive died.  The system seems to load OK software from disks, but it does not install Windows.  After removing the final drive and clicking then he goes to the blue screen of HP boot but nothing happens.  I left it overnight.  I removed the SSD drive and looked at what is on the disk by using disk management.  There are two unallocated partitions and two drives E: and F: with the downloaded software, which is divided between them.

Potential problems cloning a HARD drive on an SSD is that it can be recognized as a HARD drive and miss out on important features like TRIM and became sensitive to defragmentation that could degrade the life expectancy of the reader. That most other potential driver and compatibility problems and issues make cloning a risky operation. This does not mean that it is impossible or you will get these errors for sure, but you should proceed with caution.

I would like to make the desktop computer to run more quietly.  By removing the TV card, I was able to adapt a nVidia geforce 210 card fan.  This has made a big difference.   I replaced the CPU fan and it is much quieter when idling, but did he take power when I work and it is intrusive.  The BD drive prevents the fitting of a larger and more efficient CPU cooler.  I would like to install all in a larger box.  If you have completed successfully I want to hear about it.

    Thank you

I installed a 80mm Noctua to the heatsink fan.  It works in ~ stock of half the speed of the fan with similar temperatures.  The great advantage is that it isn't keep revving upwards.  I've also has a fan of extra box of 100mm with a derivation.  The office now works very silently idling and sometimes fans rev up when I look at a blu - ray or on the internet.  I think I can live with that for now.  I was told by technical man at the fan supplier fans should run at a constant speed on a three-prong configuration.  As they are not I guess that the mobo must be vary the voltage applied to the fans according to the observed temperatures.

Thanks for your suggestions and comments.

  • Hp pavilion elite hpe-570f system recovery question

I'm having all sorts of problems trying to do a reinstall my hp pavilion elite hpe-570f system. I'm trying to use the recovery partition. I can get to options and don't start the process, no problem. He has even reformat the hard drive. The problem arises when relocation of the factory software. Usually, it hangs at 1% until the screen loses the signal and that's it. I have disconnecged everything - including the usb keyboard and mouse on the last attempt - but the most I ever got was 35% before the screen loses the signal and nothing else happens. I thought that if I left him alone, he would install completely, but this last time I left for almost 4 days and still not install. Advice?

Given that it was me that pisses off the coast, I purchased a retail version of windows 7 unlimited and tried. The same problem. Bought a new motherboard - and the case since the case of HP is designed to put another issue - and he moved very well. Have not had any problems of video card. It seems therefore that the cause of this whole ordeal was the motherboard.

It's sounds close but be sure to first try it and then it will tell you how much space you need the device you choose to recover to.

I need to get a recovery disk. Where can I get one?

Unfortunately, you must order a recovery disc at this point. This will allow you to clean full Windows and reinstall correctly. In turn, this should eliminate the virus. For more information, please see the link I provided in my previous post.

I would like to know if you have any questions or concerns.

  • Pavilion 23-b244 AiO: the system recovery media does not support this computer

    Hey all,.

I had a power outage (1 TB) HD material on me about a week ago and replaced by a (500 GB) SSD, not purchased from HP.  I then ordered the recovery disc from HP for this particular serial number.  Whenever I boot on the recovery discs, I get "this computer does not support the system recovery media. You are not able to restore the system with the media. "The Minsize argument in the instructions to build on the DVD file provides a minimum of 140 GB, so I don't think I have a new smaller drive system is the question.

Last month I have updated the firmware to v80.08, and in the bios "product name", 'SKU number', 'serial number of the chassis' fields are all empty.  In "System ID", everythign is empty except UUID and family name.

I think that's why I'm not able to boot to recovery discs?

Any help would be appreciated, I have use this computer for quickbooks and have bee unable to do accounting for a week and a half.

Figured it out! On my Pavilion, you press Ctrl + A in the bios then click on 'System IDs'. Then I was able to type in the ID to build my recovery and support the byte to feature on the sticker under my machine. F10 to save then the recovery media recognized the computer properly and booted up!

    Hello:

    Answers...

    1 Yes there is.

You can use all the W7 x 64 drivers and software of this model except the audio.

DO NOT USE ALL DOWNLOADS OF BIOS OR FIRMWARE FROM THIS LINK

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?OS=4063&LC=en&cc=us&DLC=en&sw_lang=&product=5278311

Audio: Accept the agreement. Download and install the second on the list (W7 x 64)

    http://www.Realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?langid=1&PNid=24&PFID=24&level=4&Conn=3&DownTypeID=3&GETDOWN=false

    2. you can no longer make a W8 recovery disk, because you deleted the recovery partition.

If you want to reinstall W8, you can try this...

Upload this W8 OEM ISO file from the link below.

    https://docs.Google.com/file/d/0B0W9PBigPy94aVJWSndyTFNFMzg/edit?PLI=1

Then use this tool to make the downloaded ISO file on a key USB 4 GB or DVD bootable.

The W8 product key encrypted in the BIOS should fill the W8 installation and automatically activate.

  • Confusion of (g7-1260us pavilion) HP system recovery

I have a computer portable pavilion g7-1260us, installed at the factory windows 7

I'm having some internet connection problems, but I write really just on the recovery process.  I've owned laptops HP before and know the Recovery Manager is running.  The hard drive (HD) has 3 partitions.  The 'local' OS partition plus a "Recovery" partition a partition of 'HP_Tools '.

I did a search from the Start button and found HP Recovery Manager, which I ran.  I want to run repressive recovery, but since the screen title it says "(personnes à mobilité réduite: Pleasue utiliser un support de récupération pour restaurer votre système)". "  I've owned the laptop about 6 months but never did no recovery media and there is just no prerequisites windows created restore points.

Sullen I can restore this laptop to factory, right?  Otherwise, why have such a great recovery partition?  I considered running the "creation of Media Recovery" to make the DVDs, but to my knowledge that creates an image of the system as-it-now-is, rather than just creating DVDs that will restore a fresh factory setting.

Is there a way to do a "system recovery" despite the possibility of being disabled?  Peroxide of hydrogen used to have an option to perform a recovery of 'factory' which to me is an exaggeration, but I consider that if it were possible.

What are my options?  Thank you.

    Hello

    You are welcome

You're right, that all methods of HP recovery will install all the necessary drivers.

If you are doing a new installation, Windows 7 does a good job of installing most of the necessary drivers, but you will almost always install the drivers for the card reader and Intel Management Engine Interface from HP.

Regarding the current connection problem, from what you describe, I would say that by far the most likely cause is a damaged or misconfigured McAfee installation.  As with most security software, the option to stop scanning and real-time components will not completely disable the software.

I try to completely uninstall McAfee, restart the computer and see if it now connects to the Internet - if not always connect. in the Menu start, open the all programs, open accessories, right-click on command prompt and select "run as Administrator".  In at the prompt, type the following command and press ENTER.

ipconfig/all                     (Note that there is a space between ipconfig and /).

Copy the results in this window by right-clicking and choosing "Select all", hold down the CTRL key and press C, open Notepad, press and hold Ctrl and press V to paste the results.  Copy and paste these details with your next post.

    Kind regards

  • Recovery and system recovery disks don't work is not on the MS213 Pavilion (All in One)

    Hello

I ordered the HP recovery discs as F11 will not work. I got 4 disks with one separated from the others. He said "use this first! The other 3 were combined, and they are marked the system recovery and disc 1 of 3, 2, 3 and so on. I restart the computer with the disk that says use this first. The disc starts to load and says loading files of Windows, or somehting like that. Then he said: Windows startup. I don't get the Recovery Manager menu. After a few seconds it ejects the disc, and there are 3 pictures on the screen, at the top left is like a circle with a check mark in it. With an arrow, it points to an ejected drive of a computer image on the disc tray. And it points to a picture of a computer with 3 drives. It seems that he tells me to put in the next disc. I put in one that is graduated from 1 to 3, the light on the drive flashes, and then nothing happens, regardless how long wait. If, instead of starting with the disk that says this first use, I start with the one who said that 1 of 3, after loading Windows files, it says something like "this disc is not for this computer.

    Background:

It is a friend's computer. She was making a mistake "code purple" with the resumption of F11. She had someone watching and I don't know what they were doing, but when I got it, I was getting an error at startup. somehting like cannot find the Boot...

I found a commercial version of Win 7 64 bit standalone disc and installed on the machine. It runs great, but it had to be for troubleshooting only, until I have the recovery disks.

So, I'm stuck and would appreciate any help. I thought initially upgraded to Windows 8, but I thought that the recovery disks will be cheaper, and also the friend doesn't have to go through the inclination of windows 8.

I will be happy to provide more information if necessary.

If you can read the license key Microsoft Windows 7 of 25 characters related to the machine, you can download a Windows 7 ISO file to burn to a DVD. Remember, it is the version that is listed on the Microsoft COA sticker.
  • HP system recovery disc for the PC HP Pavilion?

I press a dozen HP desktop systems.  In my software collection, I found a three-disc set of HP system recovery discs that were not labeled with a hint of the association of the system.

The discs are marked by these numbers = 5012-0414, 5012-0415 and 5012-0416.

It would be helpful if someone can tell me which PC HP Pavilion, these discs are designed so that I can either label or throw it out.

  • Pavilion new hard drive XP Media Center Edition 2005, won't boot from the system recovery disks

Hi, I'm trying to replace the hard drive in Pavilion a1620n a member of the family with XP Media Center Edition 2005 where the original Samsung SP2504C HDD failed.  I HAVE the original recovery discs 1 and 2 system and additional recovery disk supplied with the PC but the problem seems to be that I can't get the PC to boot from them to start the recovery process.  I installed a new Western Digital 500 GB HARD drive.  The BIOS recognizes it is installed (as well as the existing DVD - RW drive) and drive past the on-board CHIP support tests.  I tried using the Boot Menu ESC to select the DVD - RW Drive as the first Boot device, as well as the tab Boot Setup of BIOS F1 to set the 1st boot CD-ROM device group and other people with disabilities.  After reboot, the drive of DVD - RW turns on for about 2 seconds, then turns off and the display shows "DISK BOOT FAILURE", INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND press ENTER.  I thought maybe I needed a kind of bootable CD boot disk to format the drive first, so I tried a BACK 6.22 bootable CD and a bootable CD of MEMTEST, that work on the other PC, but I get the same message "DISK BOOT... "on this one.  My next idea would be to try to host the new drive on another PC and copy the files on it recovery disk... but is it really necessary?  If the own PC system recovery CD should not be able to... Recover?

It seems to me that the ligthscribe drive has a problem.  Replace the disk and it may be OK after that.  On a PC so old, it is probably an IDE drive, but check first.

  • Problem of Pavilion dv67023tx, drive damaged, recovery system recovery cd does not work

Hi all! I really need help

I bought my computer hp laptop Pavilion dv67023tx July 2012.  When I bought it, they gave me a set of recovery disks. January 2013, I did a system restore. It was fine then.

Later, after some software hp update my cd player began to eject automatically. The light of the hp on the lid logo disappeared also. My audio jack went wrong from the beginning. So for all these problems together, I took it to the service center, and as it was in warranty period, they sent to hp. 3 months later I have my laptop back, I was informed that hp has changed the hard drive, motherboard, cover, screen.

There is a month Itried to install some of my software I used earlier, but they were not working. If I had no other way than a system recovery using this link

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c01867418

Then the main problem occurred. I couldn't do a system recovery from disk on my laptop. Then when I tried to do the recovery disks and he says, the system recovery disks do not support this computer. You are not able to restore this system with these discs.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c01868346

This link said, maybe its because hp has changed the motherboard.

Now what should I do? I need a factory. But recovery in my laptop drive does not work, my recovery disks do not work. Please help me out of this. Or give me email ID so I can contact HP directly with problems, I do not find anything.

Others suggesting me to install a pirated Windows 7, I don't want it. I had a real windows 7 pre installed, why should I?

I'm sorry but I can't help you with recovery disks not working is not on your computer, but I don't have an alternative. If you can still read the 25 characters on the COA affixed Microsoft Windows product key at the bottom of the computer, you can install Windows 7 Home Premium using this key. Please see "how to install Windows 7 without the disc" to get instructions on how to download Windows 7 SP1, create the installation media and install Windows 7 SP1 by using the 25 digit product key from the COA Microsoft on your computer.
