Pavillion 500-326na: Office purchased without warranty has already expired

Hi all

I bought your desktop HP Pavilion 500-326na six months ago and recently received a notice telling me that the warranty on my pc had expired the year before I bought it. When I bought the pc, it was said that the product carries a one year manufacturer warranty. What are the options that are available to me?

The customer service representative should send you an email with a link to download a copy of your receipt of sale/invoice showing the date of purchase of your PC and they will adjust the period of guarantee accordingly.

I had to do the same in February when I bought my new HP laptop.  The guarantee applies for one year, but it showed that expires this month instead of next February.

I think it took them a few days to make corrections.

    Yes, the change of password should work even when he arrived at expiration.

    Maybe you can try placing screenshots on the user and the server and make sure that the TCP process is successful when the password has expired.

    I received one email offering me another 30 days free trial (I tested early this year).  In creative cloud, it is said that I started my trial version for 30 days, but when I try to launch PS it says that my trial has expired.  Does anyone know how to fix this?

    If that's what the message says then your request to get an offer from one other day 30 trial of it is valid... it simply wouldn't be the same installation you can trial.

    I've never heard of this offer before so I can't comment more on this otherwise to say you could try to contact the one who sent the e-mail or use some contact info they bury in the message.  Do it with caution.

  • Pavillion 500 - 205t: reloading MS Office without a key

    Background: I bought a laptop HP dv9500t HP EPP website in 2007. I've added MS Office Home & Student 2007 to order, so it came pre-installed with the laptop. To the best of my recollection, no CD was provided, in any case I don't have one, or a key for the pre installed MS Office.  This laptop has failed recently, so I bought this new desktop Pavilion 500 PC - 205t. It has Windows 7 pro 64-bit. The laptop has Windows 7 Home.  I am at a loss as to how I do MS Office Home & Student 2007 on my new desktop PC. The software is downloadable from MS, but without key, it won't install or work. Is maintained with technical support from HP, they said call MS. Called MS tech support and they directed me to call the tech support of HP, is not their problem as it was a load of OEM software. Called HP sales the site EPP and they connect back to the HP technical support. Rinse and repeat.

    This forum is a last hope for resolution or advice.  I have read many questions & answers here as well as the knowledge is just phenomenal.  Is my MS Office purchase now gone forever? If it's true someone just told me that if I can move Google doc or other office products. I don't have the physical laptop more but I have HDD it is intact and have connected it via USB.  I have also the portable original packing list which lists MS Office as RK250AV #ABA and I also original order number. I also have a certificate of authenticity supplied with the documentation of the laptop, but I din't know what they were wearing.  It has a product ID of 29201-OEM-0002561-22704.  I also ran BeLarc Advisor, but it seems that on the drive system for the 500 - 205t and not the portable joint HARD drive.

    Any advice on the place where start settling my quest for my office software recharge would be appreciated!

  • Pavillion 500 - a60: Windows 10 activation problem

    My hard drive failed completely and was unrecoverable. I replaced the HD and reinstalled Windows 8.1 and it activated successfully. Windows prompted me to upgrade to Windows 10 I tried and after it installed, he refused to activate saying that is not a valid digital license. It gives the 0x803F7001 error code. When I tried to activate by phone, he said that he has already been activated on another device. Then he me connected to a Microsoft agent and he said that the key to Windows OEM installed with the PC is not valid for activate Windows 10 and I had to contact HP for a KEY appropriate to enable activation.

    Since the PC is out of warranty there is practically no way of contacting technical support without pay which I think is wrong in this situation. It is the first time that I'm trying to upgrade to 10 Windows, and I have the product key of Windows 8 BIOS of the machine.

    I can't find any help on how to solve this problem.

    I managed to get in touch with someone at Microsoft, which has provided a new key and now I have the problem solved. It would have been nice if if HP provided a way to communicate with them on this particular type of problem.

    According to the Specifications of the product , the computer has an external power supply 180W (PSU).  If this is the case, you won't be able to level the video card.  The 750ti requires a power supply of at least 300 w; Some reported that 400W is needed to make it work properly.

    Hey everybody,

    I met a problem and I would be grateful any feedback anyone can give me.

    Last July 2013 year I picked up a 4-1995ca computer laptop HP ENVY new from London Drugs. I was satisfied by the specifications for the price I paid, but in a few weeks, he has problems. First the sound card has acted up, glitching audio and stall. Then shortly after that I started to have problems of General hard disk with corruption in car and other issues. I could temporarily push the issues by making the resets to the factory, but eventually, the problems have become so consistent that I contacted HP support.

    HP support has been very helpful and offered repair the laptop immediately. They sent me a box, I sent to the computer and received back all in a period of 2 weeks with all issues apparently resolved. I was very impressed and grateful with the level of service.

    Unfortunately since last week (August 15, 2014) I started the drive problems hard experienceing again. I tried a factory reset, but now the computer does nothing. It starts at an illuminated white screen and nothing else. I can access the system BIOS (ESC and F2 then on start up), but no other tools of recovery, so in my opinion, there is nothing I can do about the situation without professional help or tools.

    So here's my question:

    My warranty has expired as of July 11, 2014. Without it I can't livechat with HP support and he said to call the help line may require a fee. Fair is fair in my book which concerns the guarantee being outdated, but I think that my current problem may be linked to the previous one for which I was under warranty and should be resolved. Given the possible connection and the fact that I am only 1 month out of warranty, there at - it a way to take this with HP?

    An additional question

    Ideally, I would like to get a free repair of HP, but I have to consider alternatives. I could get a new laptop low range for about $400, but it would be lower specs than my desire. I have also a new HDD and copied to my old partition but it would cost about $ 200 because I have to get it professional because I don't have the tools. The last option is to pay for repairs of HP but I can't find much information online prices and given what happened the last time, I'm a bit wary of the abandonment of money on it.

    How can I use Office Update without the Office CD? On the microsoft Web site, I clicked the options which mean that I would not need the CD (which was not provided with the laptop), but poartway through the service pack update, I get a request for the Office 2000 Professional CD.

    Did you mean an office or a note?
    As far as I know the a Note is part of the recovery Image and the CD is not supplied with the unit. In addition, Toshiba units are not delivered with the Office 2000 software.

    However, have you checked to aid either in Word update function?

    Where are you located? You need to contact HP technical support. They are the guarantee of an expected purchase date according to when it left the factory, but the actual warranty is 12 months from the purchase at retail (probably). So if you have a warranty issue and can prove the date of purchase the warranty date can be adjusted. But not by us. We is not HP itself a few end users who answer questions. Contact HP.
