PC registry shield?

Everyone knows this program? He starts the search from my computer at first upward and I tried to remove it, but it's still there. I have not download this and don't know where it comes from.

This is a Malware (Virus, worm, Trojan, etc.), who claim to be the program legitimate, but it doesn't do anything and will ask you to pay to fix the problem in your PC.

You can run a full system scan with:

To remove it.

  • I want that these shields admin only out of my desktop icons.

    Hello

I want to customize my desktop as much as possible, especially the desktop icons.  However, on some programs - Maple Story (a game of the internet) and Mesquite (genetic analysis software), I have these shields of red-green-blue-yellow UGLY smack dab on my nice shortcut icons.  I don't care if the shortcut requires administrator rights, I want to have one glaring thing remember.  The security popups reminder enough.

I searched all over the internet and the only solutions of workaround I thought involved turning of the security system (I refuse to do) or go into the registry and make invisible shield icon (perhaps, I could only remove but I'm not sure).

Upgrade to Windows 7 will not help because I hear they have the same thing, just a different color shield.

So, why can't get these shields of my icons?

If anyone knows an easy way or if someone knows how I can de-admin only these shortcuts (seriously, they do have admin status only) let me know.

    Hello

The short answer is that it is not configurable through any system setting. The workarounds are your only option, preferably the regedit method which makes them invisible and not disabling the system security measures.

Regarding: "If anyone knows an easy way or if someone knows how I can de-admin only these shortcuts (seriously, they do have admin status only) let me know."

Well, it's the fault of the program editor, the program is not properly written for Vista. Programs in Vista require elevated (admin only) to run in the environment of the system rather than the user's environment, IE: directly from protected against writing system, rather than the structure of users appdata folders. The only real solution is for the supplier of the program follow the parameters of the program established and documented for Vista (Win7). Unfortunately, you wasted your money. What you should do is not turn
turn off the firewall, but discharge RegClean Pro and Advanced System
    Protector.

Advanced System protector is not a good choice of anti-malware
program. For an anti-virus program, I recommend eSet NOD32 or
Kaspersky, if you are willing to pay for it. If you want a free
antivirus, I recommend one (do not run more than one antivirus
program) of three of the following:

    Avira AntiVir
    Avast
    Microsoft Security Essentials

Each of these three is also very good.

You also need anti-spyware software (even if you run a program such as)
Microsoft Security Essentials, with integrated anti-spyware capability
It). I recommend that you download and install MalwareBytes (freeware)
    AntiMalware
Registry cleaning programs are all snake oil. Cleaning of the
registration is not necessary and is dangerous. Let alone register and
do not use any registry cleaner. Despite what many people think, and
What software record cleaning suppliers are trying to convince you,
have unused registry entries is not really make you hurt.
The risk of a serious problem caused by a registry cleaner by mistake
delete an entry you need is much greater than any potential benefit
    It can have.

    and also
    http://blogs.technet.com/markrussinovich/Archive/2005/10/02/registry-junk-a-Windows-fact-of-life.aspx

Let me stress that neither me nor anyone else who warns the
use of registry cleaners never said that they always cause
problems. If they have always caused problems, they would disappear from
the market almost immediately. Many people have used a registry
cleaner and never had a problem with it.

The problem with a registry cleaner is that it carries with it
the risk of a significant problem. And since there is no
benefits of using a registry cleaner, running that risk is a very bad
    good deal.

  • Where is the shield, I used to have in the address bar?

I don't see the small shield next to items in the address bar. Now all I have is a lock green or gray, which is not bad, but I want the other "indicator" armor of return. See the image attached to the shield of a Mozilla help page

If you think that mixed the active content blocking does not work on your Firefox, you can check here to verify that it has not been extinguished:

    (1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press enter/return. Click on the button promising to be careful.

    (2) in the search above the list box, type or paste mix and make a pause so that the list is filtered

    (3) If security.mixed_content.block_active_content preference is set to false instead of true, try double-clicking it to restore the normal behavior. If the status is 'locked' and you can't reactivate, likely to indicate a unwanted "autoconfig" file that we can help you study or malicious software.

  • I am deploying Firefox ESR and need to know if plugins read the registry can be activated by the force on all computers.

I'm deploying Firefox ESR 31.X to all the computers in my company. We have plugins for security that I need to have forcibly running on each computer so that users cannot turn it off. The main example is McAfee SiteAdvisor. Firefox detects the plugin based on the HKLM\Software\MozillaPlugins registry key. The plugin provides a path to the location of the DLL in the McAfee program folder. Is it possible that I can put this plugin to always be activated?

You can use a mozilla.cfg file in the Firefox program folder to lock the prefs or specify new values (default).

Put a local file - settings.js in the folder defaults\pref also the file prefs.js - channel where to specify using mozilla.cfg.

    pref("general.config.filename", "mozilla.cfg");
    pref("general.config.obscure_value", 0);

These functions can be used in the mozilla.cfg file:

defaultPref();	// set new default value
pref(); // set pref, allow changes in current session
lockPref();	// lock pref, disallow changes

    See:

You must set the pref (s) of plugin.state related to 2 always activate a plugin.

    • lockPref ("plugin.state.npmcffplg", 2);
    • plugin. State (0: never activate; 1: ask to activate; 2: always activate)
  • Remove red privacy shield ad fox back logo

I do not like the large red shield with the incognito advertising mask please remove and put the Fox crowd back. I really don't like him see it and if I want private browsing I know where to find

You should fix the CapsLock key.

As philipp mentioned already, the campaign will probably end in a day or two, but Mozilla will use this new field for something else.

Many of us have disabled the changes made to the top [brandLogo part] of the Start Page of Firefox and off advertising "excerpts" [under the reservoir of research] that Mozilla uses all the time now, so we don't see this "thing".

If you feel adventurous, here's how to 'fix '.
Type of topic: config in the address bar and press ENTER. Accept the message of 'dragons' to see the Advanced preferences screen. Use the search box at the top to enter the below pref.

You can assign an empty string to stop your Firefox to retrieve "extracts" and brandLogo changes the browser.aboutHomeSnippets.updateUrl pref. Right-click this pref and select Edit then clear the value as pref in the box that appears, and then click OK. Who will also disable "snippets" that appear under the container of the research on the default home page.

Then you must open the folder of your profile, via help > Troubleshooting Information > profile folder > > folder view button. Then close Firefox.
Your profile file open with Firefox closed (Firefox '3-bar' menu key > exit/Quit), wait two minutes, then remove the storage\moz-safe-about + House folder in the profile folder of Firefox to remove the brandLogo and stored in IndexedDB code snippets to make Firefox use the default brandLogo and a defined default code snippet.

Restart Firefox for these changes to take effect.

If you later change your mind about these changes, you can reset the pref browser.aboutHomeSnippets.updateUrl via the context menu and Reset to retrieve the default to start to use the storage\moz-chest-fort-about + House record once again.

  • Why the button on that darn page is ' t a registry?

It seems that the only way to register on this site is to ask a question, even if I want to just anwser one another. Seems backwards isn't it?

To register when you want to reply,

    1. Click the Post a reply down.
    2. It scrolls a little to show that "you must login to your account to respond to messages", then click on this link.
    3. On the next page, click on the button to see what you can do to help .
    4. Click reply to support questions in the forum.
    5. Click on the button I want to register .

Probably there is no direct link with the registry because a question requires no registration, and that's what most people want to do.

  • Why after an update my Norton 360 registry cleaning is a registry key not valid?

This time was the in update for Adobe Reader, but I saw it with some other updates as well. I noticed this problem in my computer after that microsoft has passed to outlool.com. From there, I started to get the registry changes any time I open microsoft Explorer. This is the reason why I switched to firefox. My registry now remains unchanged any time I open Firefox, but it continues to be a problem sometimes when I run the updates. Normally, I check my record before and after the execution of the update. I contacted and complained to microsoft, but I never received a satisfactory answer.
My computer runs on windows XP.

    Please notify.
    Thank you

It is not really possible to answer this question without knowing the keys to register in question. Have you tried to ask Symantec why their product keeps complaining about registry keys?

  • Why FF is recommended to disable the Hotspot shield?

Hello... I see the warnings of FF on Hotspot Shield. In the last FF and HSS last, I see no problem of stability (18 months ago I wouldn't have said that). But then, there is still this warning.

The page explaining the warnings seem generic and covers a LOT of things.

Is there a particular problem these days with allowing the HSS/plugin extension?

Looks like it might get delivered with unwanted software and not following installation instructions. for use on Firefox. So it will be a case of use at your own risk.

I guess that if the software is not in conformity with a directive she can break also other guidelines.

    This shield was either: -.
    -Red - site at risk
    -Amber - WARNING
    -Green safe to open it.

I don't know that I have created this via Firefox, but is no longer displays. If that was the case where can I find the etting to implement?

That must have been added by an extension that check web pages.

It could be WOT (Web Of Trust) or add something from security software.

Have never reset Firefox because this will create a new profile and you lose installed extensions?

In this case, you would have a 'old Firefox Data' folder on the desktop.

It is possible to retrieve the data from the old profile, but be careful not to copy the files corrupted to avoid transporting on the problem.
