PC Suite 6.0 - stop auto-install PC Companion?
Hi all.
Interested in all the advice - in particular, any response to themselves.
Have an old mobile Ericsson and by using PC Suite 6.0-very happy with it and it just works for me.
Despite the definition of all THE options in Suite 6.0 to NOT LEVEL or update, my PC Suite continues to go for update for PC Companion, whenever I run the application it! I must deny access to my firewall and then wait for him to expire! Very, very, very annoying. Once slipped upward and it HELPED! After install run, found PC Companion would not not find or sync with my Outlook 2000! Everything has stopped working! Rolled the rear hydraulic fracturing thing, but keep getting this FORCED on every launch upgrade.
Anyway to stop this?
Can afford any reason why, on 'MY' PC - that I bought with 'MY' cell phone and closed to s\w - who even once, I bought, 'I' am not allowed to take control of it?
I guess the PC companion does not support Outlook 2000 - saw other people that loose after upgrade!

Try these methods.
Method 1:
You have to do a cold start, press and hold power for a few seconds (10).
Wait a minute or two and turn it back on.
Make sure that "all the" non-essential devices are disconnected. (USB keys (for example, flash drives) or any other external media like this takes place.).

Microsoft gives sometimes you updates for the 3rd party hardware: graphics, Audio, network cards, etc.

Suite CS5 updates does not install
