• PowerConnect 7000 series in-band versus out-of-band management

  Hi all, I have four Powerconnect 7024 configured as two piles: a battery is dedicated to iSCSI and the other pile is my front-end network. I have the installation of battery of iSCSI with OOB management with the port connected to my pile of front-end but how do I set up the front battery management? I tried to configure in-band management during installation but stupidly did not test and now its deployment and I can't handle the battery at a distance. How others remotely manage their kernel stack if there is nowhere else to connect the port OOB for? The powerconnect switch discourages in-band management, but I don't see why you would not use it in this situation. Thank you, Christian

  If you can connect to a laptop to the serial port, the RJ45 beside the OOB port corresponds to the serial port, but you would need a cable designed to convert the RJ45 and then possibly series to USB and series. You can access it through putty and set a static ip address to use on the OOB port with the command ip address ip address {ip address {mask: prefix length} | dhcp}

  It is also set to dhcp mode by default so if you connect to the OOB port for something that gives DHCP it can get an address.

  and as you can see they are the same.

• Problem with the controls volume/internet on my laptop HP HDX 16

  Hey,.

  I have a laptop of HP HDX 16, around the age of 8 months. I keep having problems with the touch buttons that controls volume, bass/treble and the internet. The buttons randomly disappear by themselves, turn on and off Alternatively my volume/bass/treble from top to bottom and my internet.

  I have updated the drivers for the buttons to quick launch without result. I've also just updated my computer to Windows 7, so my Bios is brand new (the problem started before I updated to 7).

  As you can imagine, get my internet randomly stops and for the black volume screen blocking what I was doing and hang my computer is getting pretty annoying. Any help on this would be surprising.

  I also have the same problem. HDX 16, around the age of 3 months.

  I found to do all sorts of updates the driver, uninstall, System Restore (no), and does not help.

  I'm still on Vista, but when I get my kit to upgrade to Windows 7, I had planned to see if it resolved the problem.

  Technical support HP told me that if a recovery does not resolve the problem, it must be delivered to them, and the band of totality quicklaunch may have to be modified.

  I intend to make the recovery during the holiday season.

  Based on the fact that you got your computer 8 months ago, I assume that you have not used an upgrade kit. Which means, I would recommend doing a recovery before calling the technical support because they will just have to insist that you do anyway.

  An interim solution, when the volume control locks your screen is at the end of the process called "SmartMenu.exe". It will reload the next time that you start your computer.

  I have a small question, you can answer me easily.

  Since the last update (22.0.0.192) Flash it is a problem of incompatibility between Flash and Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop.

  As long as I can see there isn't that one solution to this problem, need a upgrade to Citrix 4.4.1002.

  I understand if I do not redirect Flash I encounter any problems between Citrix and Adobe Flash?

  (We currently use 4.3 Citrix receiver and want to continue to use the latest version of Adobe Flash.) HDX is disabled)

  [correction] Citrix has done the work of features custom to unload the treatment related to Flash to the local client (which I think is what 'Redirect Flash' means in this context).  They'll be a much better resource for more information on the features specific to Citrix and questions.

• Citrix HDX-compatible Flash plug-in installation problems

  I'll put up a thin client HP for XenDesktop and I want HDX.  In the connection test client Citrix prompted me to install another version of Flash.  This redirected to this site:

  Setup of 1.0 MB from this location, which comes from an Adobe server, does not work on thin clients.  I tried several thin clients without result.  I tested on standard computers XP and he moved very well, but that's all I get on the thin clients:

  

  I tried different command lines to see if I can get it to extract a copy of the full installer but it does not work.  I also looked on the redistributable Flash page, but it was not listed.

  We have received a few reports of display window without text (not specific to thin clients), however, we were unable to reproduce.  We would appreciate if you could generate and send a log file to help troubleshoot.  Can you please do the following:

  1. Download the installer from get.adobe.com/flashplayer and save it to the desktop
  2. Start the command prompt, click the round to Start and in the search field, type: cmd.exe
  3. When the lance of the command prompt utility, drag the installation program of the Bureau on the key to successful space window command prompt and type / debug
     • It should look similar to (the name of the file may differ): C:\Users\labuser\Desktop\install_flashplayer14x32_mssd_aaa_aih.exe/Debug
       1. Note there is a space between the name of the file and the / and there is NO space between / and debug
  4. Click Enter to continue
  5. A file named host.develop.log will be saved in the same location as the installation program has registered at
     • You may notice the lack the Setup online file. It's because it deletes itself once it is executed, so it will be is no longer registered locally.
  6. Publish the contents of the host.develop.log file here in your answer, or share the following file how to share instructions for a document.

  I have a camera Sony TRV-900F video connected via FW800 to an iMac late 2009 with 16 GB of RAM, a quad core i7 2.8 and one 1 original to HDD with El Capitan.

  When I import one of my miniDV tapes (which are between 2000 and 2012 about and been wound and rewound before capture and which were mainly recorded in one take on new tapes Sony and never reused) FCPX any images in fragments of random size (from a few hundredK to 10-14 MB) and frequently shows loss of images and some audio distortion imported into the timeline and re-read.

  Final tried to create archives first and then import, but the result is the same.

  What I don't understand, is that, at least apparently, none of these problems of 'corruption' appears if I look/hear the tapes in camcorder Sony itself!

  I tried to use iMovie and same fragmentation occurs so I guess it is not related to the SO FCPX itself.

  So far, I have received the iMac 1 TB hard drive and now have tried to import on a 128 GB SSD in a USB enclosure (which is USB3, but if I'm not mistaken my iMacs USB ports are USB2). Even to jump occurs.

  Maybe I need to configure the SSD in a different way and to define not only as the backup directory for imports?

  If the best ideas don't come to mind the next tests I'll make are:

  (a) purchase of a NEW band and try to record and import from it. If it works, this would indicate the older strips are damaged, but it does not explain why they look good in the camera.

  (b) purchase a head cleaning cassette and to use it carefully and see if he would heal playback and import.
