  • There are many versions I [changed an option] so that PDF files does not open in Firefox. v 42.0, now I have no pdf viewer by default/built-in at all.

    I don't know how long it was, but I decided that I didn't want to use the pdf viewer by default in Firefox at the time, and because things have been very slow in the browser, I disabled the default viewer and set options to ensure that all PDF files that are open outside of the browser and directly in Adobe. I have no memory of what I've done to get there in time.

    Now for c. 42.0 (and 41.0.2, front) when I go to Options > Applications and select one of the "Adobe Acrobat Document" s, my only options are always "ask," "Save the file", or «Use other...» "and there is certainly no option of Firefox Viewer in 'another use. »

    With Adobe Reader latest terms and the fact that they can now push updates when they want, I just * never * use again.

    How to bring back the integrated pdf viewer? I realize there are other pdf viewers and I'm picking through those, but I would still have a browser too.

    Oh, hang on, I missed something. When you go into Options > Application, the content type that you want to change is Portable Document Format (PDF) , which is the standard type application/pdf. (The others being obscure guys like Marlon who are not your problem). Does it work?

    go in firefox > help > troubleshooting information, click on file/show profile folder and close all firefox windows later. a windows Explorer window should open upwards - in there remove the file named mimetypes.rdf (which stores the actions to handle different types of files) - it will be regenerated the next time you launch the browser.

  • Photoshop CS6 PDF files does not open in Adobe Acrobat

    Photoshop CS6. Windows 8

    I used Photoshop to create smaller PDF files. I've never had a problem with CS6 until last week. When I click on save to PDF dialog box "error" is displayed. However, when I try to open the new file in Adobe Acrobat reader, a dialog box says 'insufficient memory '. In addition, in my windows Explorer, the file appears as just a white box in the sidebar "Preview".

    What I'm not doing correctly all of a sudden? I've been sticking with the same preferences and save the settings since I started using Photoshop CS5.

    You have updated Acrobat / Adobe Reader recently? If so, this update may have introduced a compatibility problem in shared libraries across the world of the Adobe PDF. Either the update never passed by correctly and you now have a sloppy Acrobat. Do other sources open PDF files? If this isn't the case, it would be a strong suspicion that you may need to reinstall / repair Acrobat. It is also possible that you have probably enabled sandbox in Acrobat security preferences (or did an update) and so Acrobat refuses to open some files, if it is unable to determine their origins. One more thing that comes to mind: have you tried saving the file twice in a row under the same name? This kind of thing sometimes happens too fast (on SSD drives and others) and is not update Windows file security information in time (or your virus scanner cannot keep up) and the resulting file is useless. Crush them with the same file would then give the correct results.

  • PDF files does not open in Internet Explorer 9 after updating adobe 10.1.3

    I reinstalled Adobe 10.1.3 several times and I can't view, open, or save .pdf files.  I tried to use Safari and can I view and save .pdf files, but I use int Explorer. 100% of the time.  What is the solution?

    I'm in trouble here myself. I have Vista Home Edition 64-bit. The world was good until I welcomed this update to proceed. I can't go back to the old version (work) of Adobe because one of the suggestions was uninstall I did.

    I checked to make sure I was using 32-bit browser mode and no 64

    Adobe installed/Reinstalled/repaired [this facility has been a nightmare taking over several hours of troubleshooting]

    I changed the settings in Adobe as above and everything rebooted

    I can open PDF files on my hard drive.

    I can open the PDF files on the http sites

    I can't open or download PDF files on https sites more (even if I could before the upgrade)

    Of course, THE ones that I really really need since I'm paperless with the Bank, verizon, etc etc... I tried today will still sites on my IE8, XP computer work with Adobe Reader 9 and viola! no problems. They work as expected

    I chose NOT to run Chrome as it gave me problems before. I only use an IE9 browser and it is the Version 9.0.8112.16421 updated version 9.0.7 and my update of windows displays only associated them optionally available updates, which is that I have installed silverlight.

    Please advise!

    EDITING - I did a test of browser on Wells Fargo, and he said that I was on IE7. I went to uncontrolled compatibility settings the race all that (I don't think I have that turn), but it still says I'm on IE8 although I'm on IE9 and IE9 says - somehow I think that it is perhaps part of the problem. FWIW, I've had now problem downloading their PDF of 'test', but it was on the part not secure their site.

    LAST MODIFIED - don't know why this has not happened before, but maybe it was an update to IE9 - if you go to tools > Internet Options > advanced and scroll down to the bottom, there is a check box for "do not save encrypted disk files", what thought Microsoft had to be checked. However, if the file is encyrpted and the block is turned on you can see it or download it. Has worked like a charm when this block is not checked. So nothing to do with Adobe, everything to do with IE9.

  • Interactive PDF files do not open on some PCs, how to solve this?

    Hello

    A big thank you to Steve Werner for answering my last question.

    The new problem I have is that my client is unable to display the page turning from my interactive pdf file on his PC.

    I am currently indd CS5 export a swf and then 'open file' Acrobat 9, by selecting the swf file.

    I'm using Acrobat 9, is it possible that I can save a pdf interactive down to make it work on older versions of adobe?

    Whatever it is, it must be able to work on PC as much as possible, if the problem lies in his version of Acrobat, or something else that I could miss?

    It works on all PC, I tested in my office.

    Thank you very much!

    Sam

    The effects of Flash can be viewed in Reader 9 or X, and Acrobat 9 X. Earlier versions of Acrobat or Reader will not help.

    If you want to see the effects, then enter to get the latest version of the FREE Adobe Reader X.

  • Web site and pdf files do not open in a test in Dreamweaver

    As far as I know AS 3 is the T. But when I test in some of the pdf and all dreamweaver Web sites are not open. It says to make sure that the path or file name is correct, but the names are perfectly fine. I'm running out of ideas on how to solve this problem, someone had suggested that it may be a security sandbox problem, but I don't know how to check that without talk of repair.

    I would appreciate any input.

    Here are examples of code.

    menventures.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, menventuresurl)

    function menventuresurl (event: Event): void {}
    var menventures:URLRequest = new URLRequest ("http://www.menventures.com/");
    navigateToURL (menventures, "_self");
    trace ("menventures button has been clicked");
    }

    telltales.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, telltalespdf)

    function telltalespdf(ectObj:Event):void {}
    var witnesses: URLRequest = new URLRequest("pdf/LT-TellTales-9-10.pdf");
    flash.net.navigateToURL (witnesses, "_blank");
    trace ("the tell tales button was clicked");
    }

    Link to web page code seems perfect, so you may need to test live on a server if that fails you.  Regarding pdf files, it is better to test it on a server, although if you use relative paths to target, you may have a problem if the swf file is not in the same folder as the html page that loads.

  • PDF file does not open

    I hope someone can help me. In the menu on my site, I inserted a link to a PDF file that is located in a file on my site. When I "saw in the browser", then click on the link, instead of the opening of pdf files, I get a message stating "your current security settings do not allow this file to download. I don't know why I can't get the pdf file to open it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • PDF files does not open in IE8, Windows 7__

    I have a new Dell computer running Windows 7, IE8 and the last player Adobe (v.9).
    I can't view the pdf files I get in emails in my Hotmail account.  I need to copy my laptop Windows XP on a USB to transfer and view and print them.  The problem doesn't seem to be with the Adobe reader software, but with Windows programs.

    For those of you running a 64 bit OS, you are aware that Adobe Reader is only 32 bits (and thus connects to the variant 32 bit IE), right?

    You can choose to run the 32-bit Internet Explorer on a 64-bit computer.  I have actually two icons on my desktop; THE 32 bit and 64 bit IE.

    The path to the executable files are:

    64-bit: "C:\Program may Explorer\iexplore.exe.

    32-bit: "C:\Program Files (x 86) \Internet.

  • . A PDF file do not open and player XI itself opens either

    I can see an instance of AcroRD32.exe in the list of processes in the Windows Task Manager and Mem Usage continues to increase, but nothing ever shows up.  Under XP.

    In reading other posts, the common remedy was to repair in the Panel.  Tried that.  Also completely uninstalled Reader, then ran another program of cleaning of Adobe, in the case where fragments stayed, then reinstalled.  Still nothing.

    I am sure that this problem started when I installed the XI player.

    Grateful for any constructive suggestion.

    Thank you.
