PDF file won't save

Hi guys,.

I had the program Adobe Acrobat X and whenever I try to save a PDF file and replace the existing file he said "the file may be read-only or another user may be subject to open".

I have been using adobe for 2 years and he never showed this error message.

I uninsalled and reinstalled it - didn't work.

I checked if it is read only mode - and is not...

TI all a sudded popped up this year...

And... I don't know what to do anymore!

Would like to get help.

Liran.

Explorer Windows saw activated in most cases. You can close Windows Explorer or disable the preview function. Apparently, windows puts a flag with the preview that says that the file is open and that's what Acrobat sees (or maybe it's something about Acrobat, don't know). In all cases, the preview function usually causes this problem. You should always be able to save it under a new name, but it means an extra step.

    Hello

You can change this setting in:

    • Tools (or

      ) > Options > Applications

    • Look for 'Portable Document Format (PDF)' and modify however you want the file to process.

In version10.1.5 how I would break down a large PDF file and then save each page which is the biggest file?

If you mean Adobe Reader 10.1.5 (you tell what you have) then you can't. This would require the full version of Acrobat.

  • failure of pre-flight print saved PDF files through the "save under" function because of the current JavaScripts

How can I disable using JavaScript in a PDF file that is saved with "Save as" option? PDF files print via postscript and distill are without JavaScript. PDF files that contain any JavaScripts fail the printing process before the flight and so we need to know how to disable all the JavaScripts in a PDF file even if Save as function is used to generate a PDF file.

    Thank you

    Peter

    Peter,

I looked a little more on it, and regardless if you're reviewing post-processing routines or not, it seems that FM now always writes a javascript model when you use the SaveAsPDF routines. The script is actually empty, that is, it identifies the source as coming from FM, and here is the script embedded in the PDF document [he hasn't]:

    //

    FrameMaker

    //

    / * belongs to: Document-level: FrameMaker * /.

    //

    //

It seems that your options are limited here. You cannot use the SaveAsPDF road and get rid of the script to the end of the FM of things. So you can use AcrobatPro to sanitize the document, create a script that will remove the javascript or talk to your printing provided by supplier to see if they will let the script above spend their pre-flight.

Alternatively, use the print function to create your postscript and then distilling to create the final print-ready PDF. If you need to create a CMYK & Spot ready color output using the way of printing, then you will need to use GrafikHuset (today a freebie) PubliPDF in postscript output FM CMYK + Spot PDFs. download convert RGB:http://design.grafikhuset.dk/index.php/kontakt/downloads/grafikhuset-publi-pdf and more details available at the: http://www.grafikhuset.net/PubliPDF/

Please excuse me if this has been covered before. If so, please point me to the appropriate thread.

One of our customers with attempted legal service fill in the information on a PDF file that was downloaded from a site in the State. When information is entered into the PDF form and saved, the fields that have been filled to remain blank.

Downloaded the same form on my computer, do a right click on the selected file unlock to make sure that the economy was not blocked, entered some test info, but no effect.

    The file is here:

I want to know is if there is a limitation on the question of whether this particular PDF has disabled save filled for PDF of information about this specific case, given the link below and to know for sure.

Adobe Acrobat X Pro * allow Reader users to save form data

    I appreciate the input.

I can't seem to shape on dropbox, but keep in mind that Yes, the form must be enabled using Acrobat (at least) but there are too many restrictions on this type of form is not certain that a State agency he would use for a form of general use. To make the recordable form in Reader for more than 500 people requires a very expensive service that can cost about $10K per form. Most agencies have not that kind of budget for this sort of thing.

  • Links to files such as PDF files won't open

When I click on a link to a file as a PDF file, I see a momentary large green arrow top right of the screen and that's all that happens. I have to go to my download folder to search for the file. The file used to open, that is what I want it to do. I have Firefox 20.0.1.

    Can anyone offer any suggestions?

  • PDF files won't open

After doing some cleaning on my Win32 XP Pro, all of my pdf files now will not open. I get a message with the following three money titles and a string of code after each:

    CRC32
    MD5
    SHA-1
    Can someone please?

CRC, MD5, SHA-1 are all related to the methods of control of the integrity of a file. It seems rather strange to get these values when you try to open the files.

I have two suggestions (although I have never seen or heard of your particular problem, so I'm not offended if you ignore them):

    1. Uninstall and reinstall the Foxit Reader.  I could do this go to the control panel > Add / Remove Programs (you can also go in the Foxit installation folder, for example,. Software\Foxit C:\Program Foxit Reader and uninstal.exe running) and then download, install and the trial of Revo Uninstaller Pro running.  Use the function "forced uninstall", but read the manual first.  After that you are reasonably confident that everything is as clean as possible, download and install the latest version of Foxit Reader.

2 ask for help in the forum of Foxit Reader (which seems to have been overwhelmed by a fan of the NFL) or (b) of support Foxit.

  • XI Acrobat: PDF files won't open in Office 2010.

I recently installed Acrobat XI om my computer with Microsoft Office 2010. Internett in Office 2010 PDF does not, why not?

In fact, none of the Microsoft Office 2010 applications has no ability to open PDF files.

For 2013 Microsoft Office Word has a capacity to open PDF files, create a Word document as well. That being said, the loyalty of these conversions is very poor, especially when all the graphics are involved.

In addition, Acrobat provides a way to export PDFs to Word, Excel, and PowerPoint formats with the caveat that you probably need to edit the result for meaningful use. The results are certainly much better than is possible in PDF from the word 2013 opening capability!

  • PDF files will not save in the good resolution

    Hello

Something weird happens to my Photoshop. When I save a file in .pdf, raster, or vector, it won't keep the resolution when opened in Adobe reader or a browser (if it is converted to svg).

Someone has an idea what is happening? If I reopen them, it will show them as 100x100px files, but as soon as I open them outside the Photoshop they get rendered in the form of images of 20 x 20.

My old files will open very well, it seems that Photoshop went nuts during the night.

The solution, for a reason that my files were made in 300 DPI rather than 72 dpi in Photoshop

  • Keynote file won't save

    Hi all

I create simple animations in Keynote, pen drawing with the tool on an image.  Speech won't let me order Z allows to cancel the drawing, and when I go to save the presentation it will not.  I can't reproduce the presentation and I can't even quit Keynote.  I can still work on the presentation (so does freeze not whole screen), but then these changes are not saved.  Usually ends up put me off.

    1. When I restart I can usually re-enter the presentation (with many lost changes) and work and do manual records for 5-10 minutes, then it stops working again.
    2. I can't export or share the presentation once it stops letting me save.
    3. There is no other media in the presentation outside the image I inserted and the drawing that I made with the pen.
    4. I've upgraded to the latest version of el Capitan and that did not help either.
    5. I managed to duplicate the file and also copied all the contents in a new file and the problem has continued in these two versions.

Help me please, it was working fine last week

    See you soon,.

    Ali

We have no problem on any of our systems to do this daily task. Try to reset the Keynote as follows:

Perform all the steps in the order listed

Keynote, you must use a request to work procedure removal tool uninstall

AppCleaner is free and works well for this procedure, it can be download here: Appcleaner

    1. uninstall the Keynote
    2. empty the trash
    3. Shut Down the Mac (Apple menu > turn off)
    4. Wait 10 seconds, then press the power button
    5. as soon as you hear the startup tone, hold down the SHIFT key
    6. release the SHIFT key when you see the gray Apple screen, start-up will take a few minutes longer than usual as the Mac performs a software repair
    7. After the repair and the Mac is completely started, restart the Mac normally (Apple > restart)
    8. install Keynote from the Mac App Store

  • Script folder level? How can I use the value of a field as a pdf file name to save as dialog box

I read somewhere that if you use a script to the folder level, you can do things like save a PDF with a specific file name - possibly based on a domain name.

How we put in place a folder level script?

How to run a script from the PDF?

What code do you use to change the name of the PDF for the content of the text fFieldName field?

Or is - this really just impossible to do?

The function must be placed in a .js file in the following folder:

    C:\Program Files (x 86) \Adobe\Acrobat 11.0\Acrobat\JavaScripts

You can then call it go another level of the folder or the document itself

  • My Movie Maker file won't save!

My windows Movie Maker will not save my movie file, error rises and says: Windows Movie Maker is unable to save to the specified location. Make sure the source files are always available, the location of backup is available and have sufficient available disk space, and then try again. I have the files sources and 346 GB of space on my hard drive. Anyone know the answers?

The error you see usually occurs when we

Several formats are apparently compatible with

    Audio - wav, wma, wmv

  • Files won't save

Having a recent issues when I try to save/record under where the box seems to choose a folder, but contains no content. Tried to close/open the program and reinstalling.

    Hey michaely83441196,

    Try this:

The default "Save as" dialog Acrobat DC is different from the dialogue box you had in earlier versions of Acrobat, it also allows you to record in the clouds and previous locations that you saved the files. It is possible that when Acrobat tries to connect to the 'cloud', it runs into problems. You can try to disable this feature to see if this brings your backup in the back of the box: open Acrobat Preferences, then go to the "General" category and uncheck "show the online storage when you save files:

I would like to know if it works.

    Kind regards

  • How to analyze a specific record of the existence of a PDF file before you save it

I created a function of level of folder for saving a file by passing a name and a path.  The problem is that I don't want the user to be able to replace a file of the same name.  I would rather add a version number to its name, so I can keep track of the evolution of the form.

I think of a script to analyze the case of the occurrence of a file and returns something or throws an error.  I've experimented with app.browseForDoc (), but I don't want the dialog box to display.

I would use a / while loop to add a version number and then find the file until I get a return value specific error indicating that the file is missing (or in my case that the name is not already in use).

Finally, a simpler implementation much has been to add a simple time stamp on the file name when registering, it prevents overwritng & bonus, it keeps a record of the evolution of the file over time.
