PDF, flattening of dialogue when printing PDFs which is converted from PowerPoint presentations

When you try to print certain PDF documents that have been converted from powerpoint to PDF, I get a dialogue flattening when printing. This dialogue takes forever and makes it almost impossible to print. I get that this dialogue in Adobe Reader X and that doesn't happen in other players (like FoxIt for example). How can I fix this in Reader X so it can't?

The process used to convert presentations PowerPoint is to go to record and send, create the document (which opens in word), then save from Word to PDF.

Thanks in advance!

The problem is caused by transparent objects. The file must be flattened to print correctly. Player has no option for flattening and not the possibility to save the file in an image format that will ignore the transparent areas, but it can print the file as an image. In the print dialog box click on the Advanced button, and then select 'print picture '.  File will process without any additional latency time and print exactly as it appears on your screen.

    Switch to standby mode, print spooler cannot prevent me to enter

    It's true...  XP "checks" with everyone of course no process is in the middle of nothing, and if something says it is busy, you will not enter standby.

    Looks like your print spooler is somehow watered upward.  I would stop your Print Spooler Service, delete all print jobs, pending or failures of the queue and then restart the Print Spooler Service.

    Here's how:

    To clear the print queue, stop the Print Spooler Service and delete all the pending print files.

    You cannot delete all print jobs in the queue so that the Print Spooler Service is running.

    To stop the Print Spooler Service, click Start, run and enter in the box:

    services.msc

    Click OK to open the Services Applet.

    Locate the Print Spooler Service, right click and choose 'Properties' and then click on the "Stop" button to stop the Print Spooler Service is running.

    The option "Startup Type" of Service properties print spooler is usually set to "Automatic" (which is now a good time to check it out).

    If the "Startup type" is not set to "Automatic", set the "Startup type" to "Automatic" If that is your desire (which now is the time to check it out).

    Do not try to start or restart the Print Spooler Service again...

    Then, delete all updates pending upward and forward to printing from XP.  If they do not print before, you will need to send the to the printer again.

    Using Windows Explorer, navigate to the following folder (assuming that Windows is installed on your C drive):

    C:\WINDOWS\system32\spool\PRINTERS

    Delete all the print jobs in queue (select and delete all the files) in the folder if the folder is without waiting for print jobs.  The folder must be empty when you are finished.

    Reboot your system and check the Print Spooler Service again to make sure the Print Spooler Service restarts automatically restart (given that the startup type is set to automatic).

    After the reboot, check again the Spooler Service for printing and the 'Status' column for the print spooler must be read "started."

    Submit new failure of print jobs.

  • Officejet J6480 carriage jams when printing wirelessly via the plugin from HP printing service

    I try to print on my printer OfficeJet J6480 HP all-in-one to my Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 tablet that runs Android 4.4 Wireless using the "HP Print Service Plugin on the tablet.

    Measures already taken;

    Sucessfully downloaded/installed the Service HP Print on shelf Plugin

    Radio wireless to the printer and correctly configured to communicate with the router wirelessly activated successfully.

    Problem:

    When you try to print something from the tablet to the wireless printer, the printer is trying to perform the print operation (flow paper in the printer from paper tray, shows 'Printing' on the printer screen), but then never made a real impression and gets a 'Transport Jam' indication on the printer screen.

    When this occurs above, I opened the hood top, checked for jammed paper in the paper path (Nothing), did tension of printer many times, cycle of fact alignments cleanings and cartridge many times, changed the paper to different types of paper.

    None of these actions corrected the problem...

    I'll also add that when you perform the steps of printing with the radio wireless on off the printer and the cable connected to the printer, the printer functions normally when you print from my pc applications - no traffic jams. Also, the printer works normally when you perform a function 'copy' locally from the printer control panel - not roadways of jams.

    I thought maybe an update of the firmware to the printer could solve this problem - ideas about this being a likely solution?

    BTW - how you normally clear / would correct a cart-jam regardless of printing wirelessly or through an ethernet cable?

    If the firmware update is not a solution, any comment on what could be the cause of the problem?

    If an update is available, could you tell me how to do the upgrade and where can I download it from?

    Thanks for all your comments... Denny

    E - rog,

    Two things I wanted to first of all thank you a lot for the response to my original message concerning the problem of printing wirelessly to my printer HP J6480 of the Tablet, Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 via the Plugin of Service HP Print.

    Secondly, I wanted to aplogize for the very long delay in responding to your... I had some health problems with a family member who prevented me to try your suggestions to the problem.

    I am pleased to report that I managed to solve the problem... I am now able to print to the printer of the tablet.

    A little history on the fix...

    I tried to download and install the update of the firmware from the link you provided, while having the printer connected to the PC (Windows) computer via a USB connection, as you suggest. (It was initially connected through my home network, so I had to first uninstall, then reinstall via USB connection). When you try to install the downloaded firmware it failed, even after several attempts to re-downloading/reinstalling.

    Instead, I uninstalled the printer again, reinstalled over the home network, downloaded the update of the firmware directly from the HP site by locating the printer model, then the firmware. This time the firmware successfully installed (was able to view the progress of installation of the firmware in the display on the front panel of the printer). Make the installation of the firmware with the printer installed on the network domestic (instead fo via USB), the installation process allowed me to search for the printer on the network - it found it successfully and successfully installed the firmware.

    After this successful firmware installation and turn on the wireless radio on the printer (via the button on the front panel), I was able to print successfully from the tablet... YES!

    Needless to say, there is no carriage jam messages as before... and I did not try your other suggestions to go to the HP article on carriage jam error States/solutions.

    I am really gratefull for your response/suggestions...fixing this problem did the usefulness of my tablet to increase dramatically to have the ability to print... cudos to you for your efforts on this forum and a big "thumbs up" for your records.

  • HP Photosmart C4480 - blurry text when printing *.pdf

    Hi,

    I seem to be a common problem but can't seem to find a common solution. I have a printer [HP Photosmart C4480] who works well for ages. Now, however, seems to have problems printing pdf. As I said (or rather typed), This seems to be a common problem. In other sources on the internet, it is described as dark printed text or text that looks blurry (for example, here). It seems also the text is printed in a shade bluish the color of the font of the text itself is black. Just for the record:

    -J' restarted my computer. 3 times;

    -J' have 2 new hp original cartridge in the printer. The printer is aligned cleaned and everything;

    -L' printer is OK with other files (meaning not being not not *.pdf);

    -This isn't the files. They are ok. It's several files from several reliable sources (for example, my University) that all print sharp printers not HP. I would include a sample attachment, but I can't... O well. I'll add a link. You are here. (* Edit: link has been removed after the problem has been resolved).

    -The problem with the same printer on 5 consecutive laptops running Windows XP upwards and up to what Windows 8. All have the latest version of Adobe.

    -Adjustment of the color to print in black and white (only black and white) does not deny the problem.

    * Edit:-connected via USB.

    * Edit:-portable Test computer running Microsoft Windows 7 x 64 Home Premium (Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium
    Version 6.1.7601 Service Pack 1 Build 7601).

    * Edit 2:-tried another cable USB (thanks for the suggestion Rich1!). Unfortunately, no results .

    * Edit 3:-problem solved partially. Software incompatibility between HP and Adobe. See the workaround. Only works for gray-scale printing.

    * Edit 4: Rich1 helped me to identify the problem. Seems that when printing the PDF files, the printer does not seem to use black ink and in turn simulates black by combining the primary colors (which gives all the quality of the results, where the blur). This problem also exists in Acrobat with Foxit substitution (for example).

    With sincere friendships.

    J

    I think I've solved the problem, even though it may persist in color prints.

    HP, this seems to be a widespread between the printing software and Acrobat Reader problem. I suggest that you find a more permanent solution. First mention of the problem lies in 2008 and it is widespread, but you seem to be ignorant.

    As to the question.

    This question seems to raise its ugly head after an update to Acrobat Reader. Several sources confirm this. As is the case, software HP seems to be an incompatibility with Acrobat Reader. It sucks because it is the most popular format for sharing on the internet of documents.

    As for the solution.

    1. do not use any web application to print. Save the file. Open it in Adobe Acrobat Reader;

    2. open the print menu [file > print];

    3. click [Advanced] at the top right of the screen.

    4. under color management, check that box to the left of something to the effect of "let the printer choose colors". (I have an English version of the software Acrobat Reader installed, bear with me. Press [OK];

    5. to return to the main print window, go to the menu of [Properties] in the top right of the screen. It should be next to the menu advanced;

    6. in the Properties menu, select the [color] tab. Once there, select an item to the effect of "print in grayscale". Directly under this option must be a menu drop-down. In this menu, select "use only black ink. Press [OK];

    7 print the file. As long as you print in black and white, the focus should be good.

    Hope this helps someone else! If you like my solution, give this guy there Rich1 some kudo is such that at least he had the kindness to answer and help me solve this problem.

    Thank you!

  • Error when printing PowerPoint notes pages in PDF since the upgrade to OS365

    I've recently updated to OS365 and since then I have been unable to print a PowerPoint presentation in pdf format, if you choose to print notes pages.  Print to PDF works fine for all other applications, and even PowerPoint printing full Page slide, but not when you print notes Pages.   I use Adobe Acrobat DC.  It's something I do every day and had no problems with PowerPoint 2010, only since going to PowerPoint, 2016.  Here is the error message.  According to the file, sometimes it will crash on page one and another time, he might save pages 40 + and then crash and pages that save the air well.

    I have uninstalled and resinstalled both OS365 and Abobe.

    Any ideas of where to go next?

    I found a work around but it seems to be a bug with Office 365, and I don't think it matters which version of Acrobat you have. If you save your. PPTX files in a PPT file, and then close the file and reopen it, it seems to play nice. It takes time to print to PDF, but seems to work. This also seems to be a problem with PowerPoint more large bridges (more than 50 slides) I hope that this helps you.

  • A word or phrase moves when printing to PDF

    Why, when printing to PDF from another format (such as Word) the odd time a column or a Word will move out of alignment?

    I did the same steps to 14 Word files. 8 of them at the date of the section "Normal retirement Date" moved to the right as shown below.

    The others were very good. The numbers and date, in the right-hand column are all tabed on without space.

    This happens very rarely.

    Thanks for your help.

    0113_001.jpg

    It is a problem with the Microsoft Office applications since the beginning of the 1990s, believe it or not. Whenever you change the destination output device, Office applications will reformat your document based on the measurements of fonts to the resolution of the printer device. You can see the misaligned line endings changed tabs and pagination anomalies! There is absolutely nothing Adobe can do about it.

    For example, if your default printer is set to print at 600 dpi, and the instance of Adobe PDF PostScript printer driver is set to 1200 dpi, expect reflow issues.

    There are two workaround solutions. If you insist on printing at the instance of Adobe's PostScript of PDF printer driver to create PDF from applications Office, set the Adobe PDF printer as the default printer before entering the Office application and still print via the production of PDF. More likely, which will ensure consistency in the layout.

    That being said, creating PDF via PostScript distillation (i.e., printing to the Adobe PDF, PostScript printer driver instance) is absolutely not the recommended way to produce PDF from Microsoft Office with Windows applications. Acrobat installs a PDFMaker factory (an Acrobat tab with a function to create a PDF file as well as a Save as Adobe PDF from the home view) in these applications that creates PDFS directly, without any stink'in GDI and intermediate PostScript and tends to provide provision more consistent with what you see on the screen at once. It also preserves image and dynamic transparency color spaces. The only thing that does not support the PDFMaker are all .eps graphics inserted in your Office documents (something rarely used in modern times).

    We'll know if that helps you.

  • Lines/undesirable traits around object when printing to PDF format

    Hi all

    When I place a document in Adobe Indesign CS3 it seems perfect on the screen.

    But when I print to PDF in the PDF file, most of the objects show the wrinkles around them.

    Of course, I put the race to '0' and color 'None '. The traits do not arise in Indesign and not when printing to printer directly.

    But when I save it as a PDF there are all of a sudden these traits in the PDF file.

    The features appear on Indesign (example oval and text objects) objects, on inserted EPS, TIFF, PNG, and GIF.

    Can someone tell me what what should I do to prevent these features around the display of the PDF object, printed Indesign?

    Thank you in advance, I appreciate all help.

    Best,

    JP

    The white lines are called artifact sewing flattening transparency. Instead print format PDF, EXPORT to PDF format and using Acrobat 5 or greater compatibility, who will be leaving the live transparency and eliminate stitching artifacts.

    I have a problem when printing a PDF generated file from the provider of the Web site. What impression it will show anything on paper. It print empty document. Hello bondzerg, it's currently a bug in firefox's built-in pdf viewer that is studied by our developers. in the meantime, you can use a plugin third pdf as Adobe that you can enable in the firefox options > applications -scroll down and set the default action for the portable document (pdf) format.

    It seems that there is a problem with the RdrCEF.exe file. When you rename the file solves the problem.

  • can "print image" be defined as the default value when printing PDF files?

    We have many students to connect and when they print PDF to our Lexmark printers it works best for "print image" otherwise printers get bogged down and hang sometimes. We would like to see if we can have 'print picture' it set as the default when printing PDF files?

    Hi desktopsuofslib,

    There no option in Acrobat to define 'print as image' as option by default because as soon as we opt for this option, the profile of settings is automatically replaced custom Acrobat default.

    However, I have noticed that when you use the option 'print picture' for a specific printer and print a document, that this option remains active for subsequent printings, unless you change it manually.

    Kind regards

    I have fonts made it difficult to Web pages when printing to PDF.  It wasn't a problem until today.  I provided a solution through Adobe Chat, uncheck in the preferences, "rely on system fonts only; do not use document fonts. "However, I am still confused that I have not previously.  Any suggestions?

    This is your best solution.

    It can and must be set as the default for printing (Adobe PDF)

    Set it and forget it. I would also go to change the default setting in other than Standard or smallest file size

  • problem with the colors when printing to PDF in FM9

    Hello

    We have some problems with printing to PDF with FM9 colors.

    FM document files eps (1) with a green box and (2) a rectangle created with the tools chart FM, filled with the same values of color green (91/0/60/44)

    In FrameMaker both colors is really different, but too bad, in the PDF color (eps) and the rectangle obtained the same correct green color.

    OK, him differed in creation, so they were CMYK and RGB, but your printing coming.

    Now in FM 9:

    (1) if I do a "save as PDF" and turn off "convert to CMYK in RGB" resulting PDF is the same from FM8 (correct)

    (2) if I print to PDF via distiller and set job options for "convert all colors to CMYK" resulting rectangle Green is very different from the greenery of the eps.

    I tried different options, the best result was "convert all colors to CMYK", the other options just very more ugly.

    Does anyone of you know a solution to your problem? The help is very appreciated. I could send examples of files if necessary.

    Thanks in advance.

    PIA,

    This sentence needs some explanation, I think. Why you want to use the print option?

    Using the print option,-you're always going the same route that FrameMaker Win has always been, that uses the postscript RGB driver only Windows. Now with FM9, you have the possibility to get CMYK directly to PDF, as defined, without any color conversion. And it * is * works, as long as you limit your documents CMYK or spot from the FM library.

    So, once again: why do you want to use the print option?

    On a sidenote: I do not know if I interpret your username correctly, but if you are able to understand German, you will find some tests deep color manufactured FM9 here: http://www.hilfdirselbst.ch/foren/FM_9_und_Farben_in_PDFs___getestet_P387800.html

  • Print PowerPoint presentations with comments on the PDF Pages

    Does anyone know when the fix will be released to fix the problem with printing PowerPoint presentations with Notes Pages to PDF?

    It seems he does not intend to solve this problem. If you need to print a bigger slides PowerPoint 2016 game with pages of notes in PDF format, you can use the Microsoft Print to PDF driver. It works without problem, but the PDF file size will be much larger that that would have been created with the driver Adobe PDF (if we could). If the size of the PDF file is a factor, you can print portions of the PowerPoint document with pages of comments (say-1-25, 26-50, 51-75, 76 100) for the separate PDF files. You can then combine PDF files into one file.
