• PDF form field calculates the AVERAGE incorrectly

  I have a PDF form field which is defined to calculate the AVERAGE of the other 4 fields. Each of these other areas has its validation configured to allow only the values from 1 to 3.
  
  The average field is dividing the total by 4, even if a person completes only 2 fields. I thought THAT AVERAGE would count only the fields that have a value in them. But it is to see which ones are empty as containing a 0, even if it is an invalid value for this field.
  
  How can I fix? The client really wants to have up to 4 fields and an average of only those that are filled. I thought it was what average was supposed to do.
  
  Is there a way to tell Acrobat to ignore fields if their value is less than 1?

• How to edit PDF form fields after registration

  I am very new for PDF forms and thought I was getting better.  I'm create forms of Word documents and need to make frequent changes to the PDF form after that I have recorded because I'm still learning.  I thought I read somewhere that you should be able to change the properties of a field after saving a copy, but that did not work.  I forgot to uncheck "Ahmed multi field" and the need to set in my text boxes but I can't change.  I continue to recreate the formula over and over again on the Word doc.

  Save a copy, it is required to change the form when you have distributed the form or registered as a Reader extended PDF. In this case, if you want to add scrolling functionality to a tool to "Prepare the form" field then go in (in DC) to the title of the Toolbox on the right.

  

  On this screen, select the file and click Start. Double-click on the field and go to the 'Options' tab check the appropriate box.

• PDF form field rectangle on the page coordinates

  recently I came across a PDF file that had a form field (text) with the following rectangle:

  LowerLeft: 170; 850

  Superieurdroit: 475; 862

  The page itself was: 595; 841 while that MediaBox = CropBox = BleedBox = area of crop.

  The coordinate y is off the page so to speak.

  The Adobe reader displays the field at the top of the page, but within the limits of the top page.

  Maybe it than correct/fix it?

  My question is:

  1.) is this compatible pdf specification? (I did a quick search but couldn't find something about it)

  2.) is that PDF/A-1 compliant (if that makes a difference)?

  Yes, negative coords are perfectly valid.   Do not forget that those related to the MediaBox, which should not be journalAGOS to (0,0)

• Remove or disable the duplication of value for the PDF form field

  How can I remove or disable replication of field value in a PDF form? Say, if you enter the address on a single page, it is duplicated at the address on another page. For some reason whoever created this form, made a mistake of linking to the wrong field. Say so a management office address is bound to the address of the owner.

• Total value in a PDF form fields

  Acrobat Pro 9.4.1.

  Have been using a form with 14 fields of value (number, £, 2 decimal places) and a total field which is the (+) sum of 14 values - absolutely well brought.

  I changed the first 3 values so that everyone is now the (x) product of two quantities - for example

  Qty 10 x qty £1 giving the value of field £10.00

  Qty 5 x qty £5 giving the value of field £25.00

  Qty. 8 x qty £10 giving the value of field £80.00

  value total £115.00

  So for each the first quantity (in bold) is variable and is filled in by the client, while quantity second, £1, £5 and £10 is invisible read-only. The calculation works everywhere give me each field value, but after line 3 that the total field below does not include the value for the calculation of £10, but for this, if I select another field tabs on the form which is after the total value field in the tab order. This has not happened before that on the original form - total was instant and has happened, once a value has been entered in each of the first 3 values.

  The only thing that has changed is that these values are now the product of two quantities (x).

  Any ideas.

  The most likely cause is that the field calculation order is incorrect. Set it so it makes sense for your form. In Acrobat 9, go in form editing mode and select "forms > edit fields > set field calculation stopped... '. »

• More than 100 in a PDF form fields

  I exported an interactive PDF from InDesign CS5. This file makes heavy use of the buttons, which appear as "form fields" when I 'Examiner the Document' Pro-Reader 9.4.0.

  The problem is: when there are 101 or more form fields in a PDF document, reader prompts users to the opening of "Please fill out the following form.» [etc.] "even if the fields of the form are not what the user can fill (these are objects interactive display/hide). It is NOT this way if there are 100 or less form fields.

  Is there a way to get around this? By asking users to fill out the form, it implies to them that there is something to fill in when there is no, and it feels broken.

  If all you have are buttons, then safely, you can apply the security of the document and set the permissions do not allow to fill the fields of the form. The buttons still work, but users won't get the forms message bar.

• In a PDF form fields

  I created a form using tables in InDesign CS4 and exported in PDF format. Open the PDF file in Acrobat Professional 9 and created for my clients to enter form fields.

  The problem occurs when they open the PDF and finish type, and then try to save the file. The file is opened from their desktop and then typed using acrobat Reader. Then, once they're trying to save that they receive a dialog box that gives only the option to print, cancel or save under vacuum. Which has not any information they typed in the fields.

  You must enable the PDF for Reader users until they can save.

  In Acrobat 8 Pro, the option is under Advanced > enable usage rights in Adobe Reader. Not sure if they have moved or not but look about her.

• Former Nikon user needs help w / AF on a 5 d MK I

  I bought a used 5 d MK I and new EF 24-105mm f / 4L and I'm having problems with the autofocus. I shot a test subject to 16 feet of focal plane (used a tape measure), but moved Center AF point focal beyond the mark of 20 ft on the lens. I was shooting 50mm at f5.6 so sharpness was ok, but really sweet because the subject was on the near end of the focal length range. When I shoot wide open at distances more close photos are unusable. Any ideas on that? What I need to send to Canon for repair, or is this a known problem with this model of body? I shot Nikon for 20 years, so I'm totally out of my element here; I could not yet understand how to use the self-timer for family vacation photos. Any help for a beginner user of Canon is appreciated!

  Thanks for the reply! I pulled the manual on the web when I got the camera and think I have everything set up correctly.

  What I really need help, is if there is a known issue with AF on the 1 5 or if I use the wrong settings. I'm really just trying to determine if I need to send the body of the camera, lens or two to Canon for repair, or if I would be wasting my money doing so.

  My test subject was 16 feet more distance, but the camera and lens determined she was 20 feet away. The camera was tripod mounted with IS off, Av mode, ISO 800 set at f5.6, 50mm, I Focus mode AF and the central focus point square on the nose of subjects. I used flash ettl and unfortunately I can't remember what was the shutter speed, but I can remove it from the EXIF if it's important. Development was strong at about 5 feet behind the subject.

  The questions remain the same with or without UV filter on the lens. AF seems pretty good for macro up to about 10 feet away, then it seems to be far away. Is this a limitation of the AF system on this unit or could be improved spend the money to have the Canon watch? Or I'm better this unloading at KEH and get another camera?

  I'm trying to create a script that calculates the VO2max based on user input in several text fields.

  My form is set up so that the user can enter values in the 4 fields of text:

  1 weight = weight in kilograms

  2. age = age in years

  3 time = time to walk 1 mile in decimal

  4. the heart rate (HR) = heart rate recovery immediately after you have finished walking 1 mile

  The VO2max equation that I use is:

  VO2max = 132.853 - (0.1692 * weight)-(0.3877 * Age) + (6,315) - (3.2649 * time)-(0.1565 * HR)

  After the user enters values in 4 text fields, I want the text of VO2max field automatically calculate the above equation and display the result to the user so that the user doesn't have to get all those numbers into a calculator.

  Any suggestions on how to write the script?

  Assuming that your domain names are what you entered in the formula, you can use the simplified field notation:

• How can you save on a pdf form when you need to re - edit the file?

  I created an interactive pdf in InDesign CS6. It has exported to Adobe. It works perfectly as a form to fill and can save as PDF under a new name for example Person1. But when I re - open "person1" and change the form, I can not just to 'save' the file, I have to save it under a new name, create another file. I need to know if it is possible to just replace the existing file of the "person1" when I need to update the form?

  For the moment, when I click on save, a dialog box pops up saying this document may be read-only or another user may be subject to open. Please save the document under a different name or in a different folder.

  -It is not read only I have enable additional adobe reader features.

  -I'm the only user who has access to it at the moment.

  The PHP code generated by the Muse calls the PHP sendMail function. The server must have a mailer installed and PHP must be configured so that sendMail uses this mailer.

  I have to translate this pdf file to Spanish. I tried the following "Advanced-> editing change the text" did not work... maybe they analyzed the file? judge: "document-> ocr text recognition"... does not work either.

  Have you tried TOOLS > advanced editing > text editing tool? You will need the fonts on your system to do the editing. You may be able to change the font to something on your system if necessary. The file is the text (in boxes) and the text editor tool should do the job. I managed to change the Arial fonts (not all of them, there are some who are still in the old police who are numbers). I posted the result on http://wadavis.ece.vt.edu/CO2 ophir lenses.pdf. (you may need to replace the spaces with % 20)

  OK, Acrobat and the Acrobat SDK kit are not for the server. But Alice has produced s called LiveCycle business that had a Java API. This can help. It's enterprise software and not the same as LiveCycle Designer. There is also the Adobe PDF Library, which is C++.

  Is there a way to link two form fields. 1 document allows the reader to enter the text in the field. However, I would like any document 2 to display the text as well. Is this possible?  Please notify.
