PDF of the file have to change parts of purple color spot

I work in prepress for a printing company and we received an Illustrator (.ai) of a logo file. It's a color (Pantone 576). When the file is saved in PDF format and open in Acrobat 9, some parts of the file are purple on screen and other pieces you want to 576. The type of image is converted text outlines and all except a letter from the converted type turns purple. In addition, a part of the graph revolves the violet.

It has not created the Illustrator file, but it seems that the part of the image was drawn live and another part was drawn in Illustrator but I do not know and the customer doesent have a clue. There is a single layer in the file and it seems nothing hidden there. If I open it in Acrobat 8, it seems, or if it is printed, it seems.

The image below shows a section of art that shows the problem. Does anyone else have this problem?

Here is the file WITH some corrections. It now displays correctly in Acrobat.  I defeated a couple of group levels and found an open path associated with the combo of Reeves-Reed. I had a hard time trying to get a track out of these letters. I finally hid each letter and was able to box, select an object (the size in the Document info panel 227; probably a guide). With that was removed and I was able to make a correct record of the words and it displays correctly in Acrobat. There was also a point wandering in the middle of the shield which had a red line that I deleted.

  • Save a PDF file cannot be modified, losing the file HAVE changed.

It's great that illustrator can edit PDF files and it's great that Illustrator can record on a non editable PDF. But why, for the love of sanity, I would like to save a PDF file cannot be modified, but then have the original file, currently open HAVE disappear leaving only this little pointless PDF file? I STILL want the file HAVE to remain the main current job file original. But it doesn't work.

Or if, for some reason I can't understand, this behavior is necessary, and right, then at least it should show unequivocally that I am to modify a PDF file cannot be modified and strongly suggest to me that I might want to save an editable PDF or HAVE a file, or even do it automatically until I close the file (or Illustrator crashes as it is wont to do).

I'm working on a file HAVE and I need to save a small file of WIP not editable for the customer display. I go to file - save as-> PDF / smaller file size / uncheck "preserve Illustrator editing capabilities". I send the PDF file to the client and continue to work and save, assuming that I'm working on the original. The file looks and behaves exactly as it did until I taped that, intuitively, I guess that is the file HAVE same, original, with the PDF file in a copy. However, when I come back the next morning, after having closed the file, only the low resolution not editable PDF file remains. The file doesn't help, and I have to redo all the work all the way back to the last time, I saved the file I saved the PDF.

Much trouble, loss of hair, the time wasted, face Palm trees, etc.

The thing is, I now /know/ does and I'm going out of my way to avoid it happening, but in the race at the end of the work and send commands to the client and manage multiple versions of files, it still happens. Now clearly this is my fault, but heck, Illustrator could behave much more usefully in this regard!

Well, I must be missing something, I guess.

I asked how "save a copy...". "is the way lasts, and you replied that you were referring to not using Save a Copy... So I re - submit that by using Save a Copy is the solution to your original problem.

    • Work in Illustrator; number of objects; several layers, live effects, etc.
    • Want a copy of WIP for the customer as you have described originally...
    • Choose file > save a copy... Format is not question could make no editable PDF, raster format, whatever...
    • Continue to work in Illustrator... under a State record which is absolutely no different than if I had never done the Save a Copy... There is no "silent dump' edit-ability or any such similar event. If I record, I save it HAVE original, or a new if the State was not saved.
  • The files HAVE as links within a file, indesign to then be a pdf file, problematic?

I want to know if the files have linked to an indesign file, which must then be PDFed for the printer, problem somehow. I was always asked by my printer to have all my images within a PDF, CMYK value and saved in tiff format.

It seems that they should not be a problem, and that by converting the format tiff s i just lose in detail and it being a chore, as I have over 150 images.

    Am I wrong?

    art of John Johnson says:

What is a manual operation? where in illustrator I convert individually these or make me an option within indesign to do this to all the links of the eps?

You can record an action to save as .ai and close the file, then run that in the form of lots on a folder of files. But I do not convert batch if I am preflighting. When I control upstream I open all the files, look for problems and potential problems, sync (if any) color, perform the action to remove unused items from the Panel, then save as a new file. I have always save as .ai with PDF compatibility and, if possible, check that all images are linked not shipped.

Read my file for a file sizes have 370 Ko or there abouts, looks small (although we're talking here of line, maps, etc).

But I can read is inside my document setup, under 'Transparency' my balance pixelation/vectorization is 75 (in the direction of vector), my resolution for line art & text is 300ppi, gradient and mesh is 150ppi. don't know if I'm just throwing numbers at you, but that's what I got.

Those are the values by default of the effects of rasterization resolution (for example effect > esthetics > Drop Shadow) and gradient meshes are pixelated when you print or save a PDF file. I usually set up a predefined custom flatterer who goes completely to 100% and does not plan type or convert lines to fills. These are used for priting and record in PDF format only. Your .ai file contains a PDF high resolution whose Illustrator unknown when editing but that InDesign and Photoshop use to import.

The size of the file is irrelevant to the resolution of the built-in images. 370 KB is quite small, however, and when combined with your description of the content gives heavily to think there is no raster elements, so nothing to sweat. You can open the links Panel to see if there are images embedded or linked. I expect none.

  • Compare 2 PDF of the file through the command line using the Acrobat SDK

    Hello

I want to compare 2 by command line of the PDF using the Acrobat SDK, is it possible?

My needis to create Automation for comparison in .net, c# technology to compare files of 100.

Could you be it someone at - it one please let me if the Acrobat SDK kit supports integration with .NET and is it possible to call the term comapere.

OK, Acrobat is not suitable. It is not technically suitable for the server; also no license. It doesn't have a command line, only OLE user interface.

There are Acrobat PDF library, allowing development in C/C++. But I think that there is no function to compare. You will need to implement one yourself, which is a probably a lot of work. What kind of comparison do you want? If you just want to know if the files have changed at all you can use all the checksums without any API. Or are you looking for any Visual change? Or text change...?

What you place is not the file, but its private PDF data fork. In case you need to make some changes, maybe copy and paste a better way.

That said: embed the file and then you can change which slept editable.

The error tells you that color management is configured differently now. Currently, keep you the CMYK numbers. When the file has been implemented you converted in the profile.

The form has been returned with a button 'Send', and the URL has been defined "mailto:[email protected].» I changed the button to use Javascript (so I could shoot a field information and put it in the subject line). Now, when I receive a form, the name of the attachment is different from the name of the original file.

    File name: NURF_distributed.pdf

Name of the attached file: NURF_distributed.pdf - Adobe Acrobat Pro.pdf

My question is, how do I get the name of the file attached to the original file name?

    Thanks for any help!

    Amber

    It is correct.

The appentix of viewers in the name of the PDF file name is because the form was "dirty" when the mailTo action has been executed.

Dirty means, changes made to the form when not registered.

When you save the form before the action, attachment wll have its original name.

Or add this script to your form and run in front of the mailTo action.

    Event.Target.Dirty = false;
