  Make a layout for a customer and they said it takes a vector pdf cut for their printer. They'll have my layout printed on a Panel.

  I don't know what a vector pdf cut and I'm very new to using illustrator. I've just started using it two days ago for this specific project.  I found save it to pdf option but I don't know what vector cut is, what I have to do something to cut out or something?

  I have cloud creative cs6 and use illustrator cs6 for this project.   I had no idea here what they want.  I can save it as a pdf, which is their meaning?

  This is for a printer real profesional that they will take this and they will make the sign of the file that I give them.

  Here, any help will be very appreciated as you can tell I have no idea on the format file for printing printing... I mostly do the projects for the web, and Don't come across print projects much.

  It is not really possible to advise you accurately without knowing more about the details of the project.

  Generally speaking "cutting vector pdf" is someone way sloppy to say they need to vector paths for a plotter / cutter to follow cutting sign vinyl. I don't know why they specifically want to PDF.

  Sign cutting devices vary. There are simple strawberries which cut all the elements of the work of vinyl (individual letters, for example). If designing for this kind of machine, all your works of art should be only traced.

  There are other devices that are hybrids Strawberry/printers. They can print portions of raster of the work and then follow a vector path to cut the overall shape. If the design of this kind of machine, the arwork can be partially or entirely raster images and only channels intended to serve as the cutting path must be traced vector.

  Sign cutters/plotters are usually driven with plotter HPGL, not in PostScript language. Therefore the operator opens your Illustrator illustrations in a strawberry pilot program that can re - interpret curves Bezier contained in the PostScript illustrations in HPGL commands that are understood by the cutting device.

  There are some considerations that need to keep in mind when you create vector illustrations for sign cutters. As a general rule, you don't want not any crossing or overlapping paths. Its just "looking right" on the screen does not guarantee that it is suitable for cutting.

  While this is not rocket science, you don't have to become familiar with the process itself, so that you can build the work in an appropriate manner. In this regard, it is much similar design for printing.

  OK, I created a design that is pure vector. It has exported version EPS10, everything seems perfect until I got close and reopen the EPS file, I see little of the design elements are converted to bitmap. However, the illustrator format HAVE is still perfect. I use CS6

  Sure. EPS does not support the oval shape gradients.

  EPS10 - there is no EPS10. There are 3 EPS. That means 10 EPS is, it records an EPS 3 and is also included in this file something called data private. These private data contain a file AI 10. HAVE 10 supports blending modes and transparency, and that is why there is no flattening in the documents in the file that use. When you open the file in Illustrator, you'll be atually open this AI 10, not the EPS file.

  But if someone does not have Illustrator, it will modify the EPS 3 and of course they will not have a lot of fun with it.

So, if I try to add the color in the picture - even by selecting the real colors with paint tools - they are ALSO all levels of grey once I selected the. The only chance I had was resave the document as a different file type or under a new name... but even so its 50-50 it's going to work.

  could you please check the picture mode in the menu of the Image in Photoshop when you have an open PDF file?

  Make sure that the image is set to RGB.

  Sure. For example, in Acrobat 9, you can select: file > export Image > JPEG | JPEG2000 | PNG | TIFF

  Acrobat in 11: file > save as other > Image > JPEG | JPEG2000 | PNG | TIFF

  When the dialog box save as if poster, there is a settings button that allows you to soecify various options such as resolution, compression and color settings, depending on what format you want. Since you want just a single page, you might want to check out this page (Document > extract Pages [A9] or tools > extract pages [A11]) first to a new PDF and then convert it to image.

  I have two 50.0.2661.94 and 46.0 Firefox installed Chrome; both are up to date.

  The DC Adobe plugin is installed at a time. Neither will allow me to create a PDF from a Web page.

  Here is what I do and what is happening:

  Firefox: Menu > convert Web page to Adobe pdf format.

  Result: '[Javascript Application] Acrobat was a conversion to PDF error. "

  Chrome: Button Adobe (convert current Web page to an Adobe pdf file)

  Result: "conversion failed continues."

  Could you please try Create PDF from Web page by going to file > Create > PDF of the Web page in acrobat DC.

I was invited to generate PDF/A (1A or 1B) compliant files for archive accessible from my v8 InDesign CS6 files. PDFs exported directly from conversion fail Indd in Acrobat Pro 10.1.4 or root of the tree structure and other things that I have not the time to become an expert (I have other work!). I am currently printing .ps to co-operate and through these files distill 10.1.4. The results do not compliance due to one thing after the other. currently no RGB and CMYK images. I now use the generated PDF by Distiller by conversion of Acrobat with my fingers crossed.

  The conversion to WORD (if you converted before you opened in WORD, because WORD does not open PDF files to my knowledge) is a luck of the draw. Two options are generally available, to keep the page layout and to maintain the flow of the text. The provision creates a bunch of text boxes in WORD with your information. The stream format does not text boxes. If the PDF file has been create from WORD with all tags (using PDF Maker), then the conversion can be almost flawless. If it was printed to PDF format or the markup turned off, then you are function Acrobat (or export) try to interpret what is necessary and the results is often not great. An article that almost never comes out right are equations.

  If you scanned the document, then you have an OCR option, but don't expect great things. You must always keep the originals of your documents. Reverse engineering function, a PDF to WORD is a dangerous practice.

  Judging by 277% zoom, this text seems to be too small in size in points for a good

  reproduction in the form of a chart with 300 DPI raster.

  If this text could be exported as PDF vector illustration is doubtful.

  Finally the effects prevent the Visual text to be managed as a vector.

  It is not yet clear if the glyphs are typographically clean (not distorted).
