  Hello

  I just got a PowerEdge T620. The OS is in RAID1 (two 256 GB SSD), controlled by a H710P PERC controller.

  When the computer was OFF, I took one of the discs, to see what it was the brand. (I bought the computer from a dealer and I wanted to just make sure I got what I paid for ). In any case, after you turn the computer back on, I noticed that the small screen at the front had changed color and showed a message. I checked the message and the computer seems to work with a disk in a single well. As it is supposed to.

  I decided to put the disc back in French - while the computer was OFF. I noticed, that at the start, the system is now saying:

  "Configuration foreign (s) found on adapter Press any key to continue, or 'C' load the configuration utility or the 'F' to import the foreign configuration (s) foreign and continue."

  I did a search on here and on Google and was able to find something that looks like a 'response' to me. However, as I have never done something like this before, I would like to ask you guys and see if I'm about to do the right thing!

  -When the system boots, press Ctrl-R.

  -I get to Setup BIOS card PERC H710P 4.00 utility - 0014

  -Then, I press 'Ctrl-N' until I get to the page "foreigners."

  -Once there, I insist on "PERC H710P adapter (Bus 5, Dev 0).

  -Once highlighted, I press 'F2 '.

  -After pressing 'F2', a window opens, which says 'Foreign Config'.

  -Then I press "ENTER" and another window opens with two options:

  'IMPORT' and 'CLEAR '.

  From what I have read, I need to select "DELETE?" Not sure if?

  Yes, what you call after having done, you must DELETE it, and then assigned as a hot spare.  If you import it, you will damage your table

  Right. In VD MGMT, select controller, F2, foreign, clear. The new disks will then view under loan and you can create a new/separate with them or add them to your current table to decompress (if you are interested in the latter case, what size are the readers)?

  First defective discs have NO physical damage that can be seen by inspecting the disk. If a player shows physical damage - like fall - there is a very good likelihood that it is damaged internally and should not be used.

  I don't completely understand your situation (translator), but let me give you the rules:

  • IMPORT - ONLY import if the table is offline and there is more than one drive failed. You would also import if you move / drive in a system or a new controller bays.
  • CLEAR - ONLY clear if the table is online and functional. A drive may show as foreign if it breaks down or removed, or if a drive is added to the system, either as a replacement for a failed drive or add more capacity on the server.

  I don't see your picture, but the sounds of it, you have a table online with possibly a failed drive is now showing as foreign. IF this is the case, you want to DELETE the foreign configuration and then add the drive as a hot spare to start reconstruction. I ran the diagnostic on the drive before rebuild if, to make sure that it is healthy enough to be used.

  It is on a desktop with a Controller PERC H310 T7400. Setup of this system was made when I bought the machine I have not changed. Recently, the unit restarted and is came with a message about a "foreign" Configuration I tried to understand exactly what this means and what to do about it. I believe that the machine has been implemented with a virtual drive and there was a kind of RAID implemented with the physical disk and the virtual drive. I am not sure what level of RAID 0 and 1. I'm hoping to recover the data on the hard drive, but I need help with what are the measures to be taken.   Go to the foreign configuration tab highlight the controller. Press F2 for options. Foreign configuration options, import.

  You can try to uninstall all entries of "Microsoft Visual C++" from the windows control panel and see if the error message disappears.

  Seems to be caused by a corrupt installation of Visual C++ (several versions can be installed-by-side).
  
  You can try to use the sxstrace tool to see if you can find which files are missing or damaged.

  To be honest, I never encounter such a problem with the operating system, but first, I recommend trying to repair the operating system.

  Start Notepad, and then press F8. Then choose the option called to repair the computer.

  You can uninstall all existing Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package on the system and install the latest Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package and check if it helps.

  Try to connect as an administrator, and then install the game. If you use the Welcome screen, press ALT + CTRL + DELETE (all three buttons at the same time) twice, you get a classic login prompt. Enter the username as admin and password (if you have one). Try to install the game, should solve the problem.

  I am trying to open a Microsoft Outlook .exe file that has been transferred from a different computer and I get the error message: this application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this proplem. I DO NOT have the original installation discs and product ID and product key numbers are in my Outlook folders on the laptop that I CAN'T open. Microsoft says there NOTHING they can do and that we have to buy another copy of Office 2007 Professional, which is absurd.
