• "No boot device" trying to reimage dm3-1040us

  I have a HP Pavilion Entertainment PC (dm3-1040us) with a bad hard drive.

  This PC was originally Windows 7 64 bit

  I'm getting ' no boot device - insert boot disk and press any key any. "

  I replaced the hard drive failed (WD3200BEKT-60F3T1) with a Hitachi Travelstar 500 GB 7200 RPM 16 MB Cache.   I understand that further drive hard should not be a problem.

  I bought Windows 7 HP 64-bit recovery discs.

  This laptop does not have a built-in CD drive so I have an external DVD ROM drive.

  I changed the configuration of system (using F10): Startup Options to activate startup disk; Boot order for the CD/DVD ROM USB drive first

  I use the instructions of "recovery discs recovery."  When you start the computer, I hit the escape by following the instructions to get the Boot Menu.   I press F9 - Boot Device Optons and select the CD/DVD drive (eTDU108 slymtype 1)

  After selecting this committed the DVD-ROM drive, but I get this error - "no boot device - insert boot disk and press any key any."  Because it was not clear on what disc use first of all, I tried with the System Recovery DVD Windows 7 Hom Premium (disc 1 of 2) and the Application and driver recovery CD.   I get the same error with both.

  I just wanted to know all that I managed to get my external DVD ROM drive to read the 'System Recovery DVD Windows 7 Hom Premium' disk 1 of 2 that I bought at HP (with 2 disk and the disk "Application and Driver Recovery CD" supplement.

  I continued to follow the instructions at http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01867418 and was able to Re-imaging my HP dm3-1040us with Windows 7.

• Keyboard AND mouse freeze

  Hi there, as it is said in the subject, my wired and wired keyboard mouse freeze periodically.  This does not happen after the hibernation or playing games or anything like that.  It just freezes.  I have to hold the power button in the close.  I'll try to restart and sometimes I'll get a keyboard failure error before Windows starts, sometimes I do not want.  But whatever it is, it won't work, any more than the mouse.  I have to turn off AGAIN, unplug everything, open the computer, remove the RAM cards and reinstall them.  When I plug everything back in, all USB devices seem to work once again, but then a day or 2 later I have to repeat the process again just to use my computer.  Once I got everything working again, I went into Device Manager, and of course everything that says it's working properly.  I tried to update the drivers, but they say that I have the latest update.  I am at a loss.  I tried to move the RAM cards for other housing open, but the problem persists.

  I am running Windows Vista Home Premium SP1.  My computer (Dell) is approximately 2 years and Vista has been installed.

  I checked on the Web from Nvidia site and there is a new driver for your NVIDIA GeForce 7300 THE. It was released a few weeks ago. I don't know whether you have updated your map. I'm assuming that you have 32-bit, but if you have 64-bit, then you will need to check on the driver of Nvidia Web site. http://www.nvidia.com/download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

  You didn't also indicate the model of Dell computer you have. Go to the Dell website and update all devices having a driver newer than what you currently have on your machine.

  I am developing a search application where should I look for in a list that has the details of countryname, capital of the country and the population of the country. I saw the demo of KeywordFilterfield in samples of JDE4.7 which is exactly like that.

  When you start typing in the filter field, seeking the names of countries, possible country names are given below, now what I want, I want to show that, in the same list I want to see the capital of the country and populationwith a different allignment.  But the search item must be the name of the country itself. Can someone help me...?

• What i7 processor and graphics card should I expect?

  I have a bit of a dilemma to know what parts of pc I have to buy.

  Now I'm able to get $1500 (aud)

  However, I'm not sure if this processor would be better than getting an i7 5820 k, i7 6700 k or an i7 6800 k or an i7 6850 k. I've read various comparisons which makes it difficult to decide (especially since a large number of comparisons are with games and video editing not).

  I want to make a platform for Premiere Pro and After effects for most. I work with 4 k images and need of something better, but don't break the Bank. I look around to spend as little as possible, but also scalability enough to be cool and trendy. I think of something around $ 1 500-2 $000 for a decent edition pc. I was a little out of touch with the building and train to learn all that is necessary for installation.

  5960 x has 8 cores and tons of stuff with her cooling, others have 6 (and 4 cores * 6700 k). I heard the more hearts best for editing, but the speed of each core must be taken into account without additional cooling system.

  As with a graphics card, I am considering the gtx 970 980 years or because they are quite cheap now (second hand), but would be a gtx 800 * card be enough?

  I want to do a professional job, but I don't want to break the Bank. I'm just a little lost with what would be more beneficial. Having more cores and a gfx card at low prices, or to have a decent processor with a gfx card decent for less * ish. for $1600, which is a good deal, but not sure if it's good for a video editor. =\

  after effects are currently being redone to make it multithreaded. so currently the 6700 k is the fastest, but who will eventually change, and some people use earlier versions of AE for better performance with County Senior core cpu machines.

  for premiere pro, the 6 cpu core is core entry level 4 k, 8 or 10, it's better when the budget allows. I'm not familiar with prices AUD, but looks like it's a good deal. Looks like you still need several parts besides than the gpu to complete construction, unless you already have them, or that they were not in the list. so you should have know if you can complete the build and stay within your budget.

  What gpu you need will depend a lot on how much gpu accelerated fx and the functions that you plan on using. If you can find a gtx used 780, 780ti, 970 or 980 for a good price, they can work very well. If you had one of those (or something more slow) and had poor reading performance, you can still be fine by changing resolution of reading to 1/2 or 1/4 for smoother playback. If you want something more durable, the gtx 1000 series has some features of hdr k 4.

  There is no office gtx 800 series. the closest thing was the the ti gtx 750 and 750. Pudget article shows the gtx 780ti running slightly faster than the 980 with first. the 900 series had a lot of changes that have been for games.

  I have check the trend of the use of space for my database (it is a node three CARS), and I use performans seen as dba_hist_tbspc_space_usage and dba_hist_datafile so that, as in the following query. Recently, we had a space problem of emergency with the ASM disk group is + DATA1 disc obtained filledup ~ 90% that end up in a situation of prirority-1, I'm seeing current disk in view space v$ asm_diskgroup.so need expert advice, is it all view historical performance in which we can get the information of historical space for the ASM disk for analysis group?

  Yes performans, design. good, bad etc...

  Well both will give you 16 CPU in the Task Manager.  There is no real gain in performance.  However, in a perspective of license you have only a single CPU so you can save costs, in situations where a program is licensed by the CPU and no carrots.
