  Hallo,

  I had ORA-00257: archiver error. Connect internal only, until this just released. (DBD ERROR: OCISessionBegin) in our Test database.

  I understand that this has to do with the space of the FRA. I've removed all expired backups and archivelogs with RMAN. When I check using the FRA use the query below

  I guess it's very clear that I have space in FRA, but again the archivelogs cannot be copied and I get the error in the alert.log below.

  I try to install R12.2 on Linux (RHEL 5)

  Provided that all the values YES and all the prereq check success.

  But in Java Heap space error: "not enough memory" during the first phase of installation (0%) (showing RW 50004)

  How to increase the java heap size before installation?

  This problem solved by changing the JRE_MEMORY_OPTIONS parameter in the file oraparam.ini inside the scene.

  Oraparam.ini path is /TechInstallMedia/database/database/install

  I will also keep a note of the SWAP size.

• Question to space color multiprocessing

  After you install the update after effects CC 2014, I am having trouble with my using the multiprocessing.

  I work in the color space is a linearized 32bpc sRGB IEC61966 - 2.1 when I made without multiprocessing turned on, make it runs very well, but with it turned on the rendering result is much too bright, as if the gamma has been lifted too high. I really wish I could use multi-processing, since it cuts my time rendering up to a fifth of what they would be otherwise. Any advice would be much appreciated.

  I have a table that has a column named NAME and under it contrain a list of names.

  I'm trying to join this table to the other which contrain one list of names as well, but they are in the format of the first NAME and last NAME in separate columns

  FIRST NAME     LAST NAME
  ANN               PERT
  STEVEN              PAPPAS

  I'm trying to do something like:

  One of my servers has 2 discs. The ORACLE_HOME is on one disc, while the data files are located on the other...
  I need to install the Agent on this server. The standard we follow is to install the Agent software and Oracle (in separate files and houses) in the same place, while the data files will be installed on the other.
  
  On this server, there are only 2 GB of free space on the drive where I need to install my Agent. The Oracle documentation says that only 500M is required, the installation of the Agent would affect performance (4) instances on this server?

  Very unlikey... As you have only 2 GB, left on the disk that your installation of agents, keep an eye in newspapers... they can grow quite large.

• HP Mini 1000 XP loss of disk space!

  I have the HP Mini 1000 XP base model and love it.  I use Norton Internet Security, iTunes and Picasa 3.  But for some reason, I lose local C: drive disk space.  At this moment I have about 500 MB.  I was at 90 MB (!) before a little lower, I read a tip on the Web to set the parameters of system restore.  Which I did and got immediately bumped upward to the high lombardo.  But I still seem to lose space weekly.  I always remove my itunes and photos Picasa downloads.  I also delete cookies and temporary internet files on all three weeks.  And I defragmented/compressed disk, but who did not have much.  Java keeps asking me to download and install the new update and I'm like "NO!  I'm getting a more slightly obsessive on my MB.  My space can be upgraded?  If so, how?  Are there ways to find hidden files?  Maybe what I deleted was not, even if I saw them in the trash.  Another that the question of space, I love my Mini - and feel that I should get a tip for all potential customers, I'm headed your way!    I thank very you much for your help and advice!

  A very easy solution is to set the min and max paging file to 1024 MB (1 GB), which is a lot. You could even go to 768 or 512 in my opinion a little more extra space. Right now, you have a dynamic (changeable) paging file that is larger than necessary. Define the number that is now 1500 something and the number which is now 3000 something 1024 768 or 512; apply and restart. You should immediately have an extra concert half or more space, then. Setting the pagefile on a fixed number, it is also a fairly well-known performance tweak that helps the computer run a little faster.

  If you are looking for *.jpg (wildcard for all images), you can be sure that you see all the pictures on the hard drive.

  I have a few questions on space for a virtual machine snapshots including an 80G hard for hard Windows OS and 500G for data. We use the VSphere 4.1 and VSphere 5.

  1. how much space is required for the instant 80 G or 580 G?

  2. If the .vmdks are on different LUNS will be snapshots stored with the virtual machine configuration file?

  As mentioned previously, a snapshot can grow up to the size of certain overhead costs as well as the basic disk. Regarding overhead, take a look at table "Load calculation required by the snapshot files" at http://kb.vmware.com/kb/1012384

• Snapshots and free disk space

  We are trying generally do not use snapshots and when we do, we try to limit it to 1 day. Use increased and basic snapshot backups, I had questions on space.

  Of course, snapshots can eat space on your data store.

  Add to the previous comments, no additional built-in security for vSphere, but there in vSphere:

  1. more than storage associated alerts available

  2. the views of report good in vCenter GUI that contain usage data snapshot to be able to see the impact on the use of the disc

  I have a personal dislike for snapshots that I wouldn't be surprised if their misuse is the most common cause of VMware on virtual machine failures, because otherwise the VMware is a very stable platform.  They have a specific for certain purposes but are no longer used, without a good knowledge of the impact, by administrators.

  The negative impacts of snapshots space usage can be:

  1 virtual disk i/o performance very slow as snapshot becomes large

  2 VM becomes unresponsive for long periods while the big shots are removed

  3. freezing of the other virtual machines on the data store

  4. potential corruption of virtual machines during attempts to free up space and resume operation

  As a consultant by deploying new VMware environments and give administrators new to VMware, I do see a lot of use of this 'instant cool feature' and try to warn against its administrators traps I speak directly.  However, I have seen these problems occur more often I want.

  In a folder named Media is the 06 E Morio.mov file.

  When I view the page Music.html locally, I see the graphics standard that appears with audio files - a horizontal thing, metallic color with a button you can push to start audio and a little button that slowly moves to the right until the song is finished. But when I view the page online, I don't see anything.

  I tried to rename the audio file to 06_E_Morio.mov (to replace spaces with underscores), then replace every occurrence of %20 in the code of the JS file with underscore as well. But who killed on the spot.

  I had a lot of problems with links that included capital letters and so does not correspond with images or JS files which were tiny. So, I guess that this problem has to do with either a value that should or should not have a capital letter or a question of space - either I need to replace %20 with underscores, or I need to insert characters to underscores in names of the audio files, etc.

  Can anyone offer any suggestions?

• Mini Mac - exchange of hard disks

  I have two mini Mac - the two 2012.

  Mac mini #1 is i7 2.6 GHz Quad Core - my first desktop computer

  Mac mini #2 is i3 2.3 GHz Dual Core - used as HTPC / Media Server

  #1 has (2) 1 TB disks, which I use a lot less than half (I also have external drives)

  #2 a (1) 512 MB internal drive, which is almost complete

  I plan to (1) move the 1 TB drives from #1 to #2 and move all data (mainly from the iTunes music ALAC and some iMovie video), that would solve the question of space. While they are open I consider also adding an SSD as the diskette of starting to #1, this would improve the startup time, run certain programs a little faster and a 256 MB or 512 MB disk would be inexpensive, that I would win a little more than space for data too. (to be honest, the Mac mini is jealous of the SSD in my MacBook)

  I've increased the RAM to #2, replace a switch of volume on a 3 g iPhone and replaced a screen on an iPad 2, so I'm not afraid of detail work - but only the RAM was easy. I also watched the videos on the replacement of a HD for this model on iFixIt. What is not clear is how much more difficult it is to make the first record as the second. If I move just a reader I wouldn't have to dig in the 1st Bay.

  So, my questions:

  (1) how can I say on the report system which drive is in the Bay, by whom I have which is on top, which is at the bottom? Or can I assume that the startup disk is always on top? (harder to do)

  (2) is the player in the upper Bay of much more difficult to replace?

  (3) I would also examine suggestions for a reliable SSD, but this isn't the substance of my question.

  Here's a video OWC on how to add a second drive to a Mac mini (same steps for 2011) 2012. I bought their data Doubler kit (and the extra ribbon cable) so that I would have the tools to get the job done right. Seen their detailed video while performing the surgery. I bought a 128 GB OCZ Vertex SSD (now a division of Toshiba and new product name VT180 series) for main and kept startup disk the Apple 512 GB of disk in place. The OCZ Vertex is fast and reliable for fall 2011.

• Why not download any apps?

  I recently got a new iPhone 6s more with no backup iCloud and it works very well. From later last night, however, none of my apps will download. The circles just icon and the circles forever without stopping. I have 64 GB so it is not a question of space, but I really don't understand what is happening. I need to get an app for the school and it does not work. Help, please.

  Start by rebooting the phone - hold down the HOME and SLEEP buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds).

  If it does not it, go to settings/iTunes and App Store, sign out and sign back.

• Satellite U205-S5002: cannot retrieve the Express Media Player after upgrading the HARD drive

  So I bought just a new Toshiba Satellite U205-S5002 I love it. One of the great features that interest me was the Express Media Player feature.

  My first step was to upgrade the hard disk and 160 GB and 2 GB ram.
  I placed the disk and ram in my old laptop and sold it.

  Before that I did, I made a copy ghosts and ghost of the hard drive to the new drive. Well come to find out...

  Toshiba is not provided with this software preinstalled, so I followed the instructions to burn my recovery disk Express Media Player and the boot on the new disk.
  So this is where the saga begins...

  After 15-20 seconds, I get a soothing blue screen (NOT of blue BSOD you mind) who says:

  It is typed exactly as it is on the screen. So, I see some other forums saying: you must have the free space of the disk so I resize the partition that allows 200 MB of space. Always the same... then try 2 GB even... then the 50 GB, same problem...

  OK, so obviously not a question of space. I read while I might need to erase the drive... so I delete the partition, this same error... then I run the recovery disk and tell him to wipe the drive, wait 1 1/2 hour, it ends. No dice! So I decide... ok... Well lets try another disk... I have restored my ghost image... and burned the image again... same question... so I decide to the recovery disk and I'll try to reinstall windows in the factory and make a record...

  Well, it does not work as well as you think... the image is incomplete... windows works fine... but the c:\Toshiba\ExpressMediaPlayer folder is empty!

  I'm happy that I have ghosts my original directory. But I decide allows to Express Media Player a shot more now that I have restored to factory... always the same error... I then decide a trial more... I'll erase drive 1.5 hours, I'll restore from toshiba dvd provided but leaving plenty of space at the end 2 GB (I have a lot about people who tell you to base just around 200 MB)

  5 hours later... moment of truth... Well Yes you guessed it... I don't know anything else to try... I have a bad image?
  You need one that I can download what has worked for them for sure? Or have - I have completely found myself by replacing the HDD with after market and which is originally a kind of compatibility issue?

  I put t know how to start so maybe first some info on the Express media player.

  As you said, and has already proposed the Express media player has been preinstalled on the second partition.

• My iMac freezes, but I can still move the mouse

  My iMac (3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, new HDD 4 TB, 12 GB of memory running 10.9.5) freezes randomly just straight up. I can't tell you how or when this happens. There is no model it. I can move the mouse, but click on anything. I am usually under Safari and Firefox when this happens, and I have a few windows/tabs open. I'm also in Word when this happens sometimes. But really, I don't test the limits of this computer so I can't understand why it would freeze upwards. I got it in the store four times and this is my third hard drive. I am currently using about 1 TB or less than my 4 to drive, it's not a question of space. Guys my computer store say it might be a software problem, but I don't see how that nothing is added or downloaded since it began. My old computer died in February, so I got an iMac refurbished with a brand new HD and the new ram. That's when the problems started. I replaced the computer with this one (another refurbished with a brand new HD) and still had the problem. Now I just got a new 4 TB HD hybrid (I love, BTW.) (Very fast), and the problem persists. Any ideas? Thank you. My computer guy say that their only idea is to wipe the drive clean and manually put items on one by one. Sounds expensive and has not guaranteed to solve the problem.

  I'm very disappointed with my xts. Decided to wait to JB, not much better. I had several problems with ICS from the outset. To begin with, a question of space. It is said I 1.46 GB of space, and still I can't download light applications. In addition to this there is no way to move applications to the external Sd Card, you have removed this feature. Also I can't use a soft do that because there are no bootstrapper for this tablet and the fact that Sony has removed the possibility of rooting for the tables to have superuser access. On top of all this, the usual video problem. 4 CPU core Nvidea graphics and problems to play the video? Come on. And then there was the JB I have yet to have an accident in the video. YET. JB has added a bit of unnecessary features, aswell as making the UI lag. I thought that the update would need help, there is no problems. And JB can't fix things. The back panel fold where it says xperia crunches and feel asthough it will fall if they are not pampered. I sent an email to sony and it was extremely useful.

  More generic how can get this message? Then I I'd ask to fill out a survey "your opinion counts" that I did. He filled according to my experience and no response. I'm starting to believe that sony is a bunch of these bots PURPOSE with B/S responces and respond only if you threaten to go public to these experiences.
