  My problem is this: when an event runs, the OK button is disabled, but if the user clicked the event is pending, and when the process is finished, another will start immediately.   First of all, your mechanical action seems wrong.  By releasing latch and then move the button in the case of the event.  Currently, you use the switch to exit which is contagious stocks on the top and to the bottom of the query.

  Second, do not check the box that says 'Lock Front Panel until the end of the matter for this event'.  Notice that it has parentheses that say "reporter treatment of the actions of the user" which means he waits until the case ends (the date at which the button was reactivated).  You are basically defeating the entire purpose of the deactivation of the control because defer you the intervention of the user until the button has been reactivated.

  Well, there is the "Lock Front Panel up to that end case of event.  You may also disable the button until a timeout occurs.  Another option if you have LabVIEW 2013 or later version is to limit the number of event (option just below the locking of the front panel in the dialog box change events).

  I have a Board who I am control with loop open using a stepper motor system.  I want to run some tests to measure to what extent and how constantly the motor can move the stage.  How my software works is that I give the engine a position (number of steps), then it runs until it reaches this position.

  The motor itself and then I want to set up a structure of event so that I can give different commands without having to restart the program each time.  The three cases, I want to implement are:
  (1) giving the engine a new job to run

  (2) telling the motor home again

  (3) stop the program at any time

  I watched tutorials on the structure of the event and cannot for the life of understand me why it won't work.  The motor houses himself, enters the while loop and just stays there.  When I change the values, nothing happens.  Can someone help me understand this?

  Yes, yes it would be.

  The myRIO is an on-Board Unit and has no video output, and therefore is not a concept of events based on user input.  I've never used a myRIO but I figured, would not allow even you put code on the myRIO if we used a structure of the event, but I guess you can have user events so maybe that's why no error was thrown.

  The code runs normally on Windows where I tested it.  I had to disable parts of the House and run the routine because I don't have the myDAQ or myRIO software installed but the structure of the event worked as expected.

  As for the change of Position value, the witness must be in case of structure, not only in the while loop.  If it isn't then you will read the last value not a new one.  You were probably just changes to test things because in the images you posted it was in the case of structure.

  I'm still fairly new to Labview and this may seem a simple question.  I'm doing a Subvi to display, edit, and create configuration files.  I use a ListBox to list all sections of a config file and structure of the event to update the values in each section, when they are clicked.  The problem is that the structure of the event seems to be a break the while loop so that the buttons do not work until the event has executed.  What I would like is the while loop to run continuously and the event to run only when I click in the listbox control.  I hope this makes sense.  There is a peak in the diagram below.   There are a number of issues with your code that could cause problems:

  1. You must use the FP. Open method to open the front panel of a VI and of the public Service. Close method to close. I don't remember exactly the problem, but starting with the 7 worm nor indicated that these methods were the preferred way to perform these tasks.
  2. Based on what seems to be the code, the event for the control of Presets of wood should be a change the value - not a mouse down event. After changing the type of event, use the event data NewVal to drive the indexer table index entry.
  3. The buttons Ok and cancel them should be handled in their own events to change the value. The value change event Cancel would exit the loop, while passing the output error (which indicates that cancel was pressed) and default values for the other 4 outputs. The change of the value Ok event would leave the loop by passing the values that the operator had concluded the 4 controls on the front panel.
  4. An event of timeout with a very short time (1 msec) would stop loop if an error has occurred, or the output of the gate AND is set to true.
  5. The wait function is not necessary, as is the case outside the loop structure.

• Question about the events of list management

  I searched in the circles of a response to this problem for a while now.
  
  Background information:
  
  I have an application that uses a number of listservs. However, some end users have complained about this particular control since you not only have select from the popup LOV, but you then have to click on the 'Add' button until the selected value will be submitted to the page. They would like me to display some callback types click on 'Add' when a value is selected, but not yet added.
  
  I found the names of the different elements of the list manager and created a simple javascript function to change the background color of the text box where the selected value is displayed and attached that work to the onchange event.
  
  My problem is that if something enter the text box fire the onchange event, by clicking on the 'Add' button does not work. In other words, I can put a red background (or whatever I end up doing) if they have not yet added value, but I can't put it right back when the user clicks on 'Add '. The best work around I came uses the list manager onmouseover event, but is not as clean as I like it.
  
  The 'Add' button has an onclick (obviously) the events that first calls a function "appendToList" and then deletes the text box.

  I think that what follows may work for you.

  Suppose you have a component called P4_LIST_MANAGER list manager. Add the following code in the Footer area of the region setting:

  The main problem you see is that for an input element onchange event is not raised when its value is changed via javascript on the page. The above assumes that the user has clicked in the area of field set to use either the Add or Remove buttons, and then resets the background color.

  OK, I'm going to help you a bit.

  

  Here's how it works: the upper part (producer loop) will pass the value of the OK button (switch released) to the Message Handling loop (consumer).  When the button is true the consumer runs the code in the case of the real and enqueus another loyal to himself and then wait 1 second.  When the OK button is False, the value false is appeared on the front of the queue and the message handler runs if false, empty the rest of the queue and waits for the next message the event loop.

  The Stop button (by releasing Latch) exits the event and the queue is destroyed causing the Dequeue return an error and leaves the message loop.

  I have a very simple VI intended to simulate what I'm trying to accomplish in my program... in fact, when the 3rd option button is selected, I want the text box is disabled and grayed out.  Instead, the case of the event seems to perform the action on the * next * the iteration of the loop.  Can someone tell what I am doing wrong?

  The terminal of the radio control is inside the case of the discipline concerned.

  (.. .or you can read the new value from the data event [NewVal] node instead if you need the Terminal also).

  Currently, it is read immediately and the value placed in the tunnel. When the event is triggered, the expired value is read from the tunnel.

  Once you pass the terminal in case of the event, it reads only after that the value has changed, and you get the current value.

  Also:

  • You also need an event for the button stop, otherwise the VI cannot be stopped easily.
  
  
  • You have the same property node in any of the structure of the case. Put it down after the structure of the case and one is enough.
  
  
  • Things that are different are inside the structure of the case.
  
  
  • You can combine the cases that are the same (not the default)
