  Well, you can use Google Calendar as a calendar. Just share with your wife, download the app on your android Google game shop, maybe there's an app for Ubuntu? Then just to bookmark in Firefox and TA - DAH! You have a synchronized calendar!

  I think I know the answer to this question, but I'll ask anyway: you have either a before Sierra Time Machine backup or another backup of the Sierra of pre system?

• Parallels vs. Bootcamp?

  I use Parallels to Quicken and QuickBook to ensure the continuity of my biz and personal finance since I got my Mac about 5-6 years ago. It's a pain - especially for my accountant, coming 2 X / month. I am considering getting a machine of small cheap windows just for her, (and when I need to do bills or check my investments).

  What do you think of this vs go to Bootcamp, I've just heard? The problems are that Parallels is running very slowly, has been difficult to save, (although I think I'm OK now), something seems to be problematic to 50% of the time. Just generally irritating. Opinions? THX so much.

  Running Windows using Boot Camp allows Windows to run better than under Windows in Parallels because Windows uses them your computer resources. When running Windows Parallels is the sharing of the resources of your computer with OSX. Then goes to Boot Camp will result in Windows and the programs of superior performance.

  If you encounter problems with Windows in Parallels 50% of the time, you probably have something misconfigured or there is something wrong with your installed programs.

  That said, in a professional environment I would eliminate potential problems while getting a cheap Windows computer to run the programs only my windows. This would allow me to continue working on my Apple computer while someone else is using Windows programs. It would be easier to maintain backups for both systems.

  Take a look at the personal Budget template in the template chooser > personal finance.

  SUMIF formulas are in the Budget sheet > summary by the table of categories > column C.

  The drop-down Menus (called context Menus in numbers) are in the leaf of Transactions > column C.

  Make sure spelling is accurate, or numbers will not find a match.

• How do the cells in a column to reflect the changes in the cells above

  I'm playing with making a tracker that provides essentially future balances of loans, savings, etc., based on an average of how much I pay on them. Right now I have a "Savings" column with each cell in the column, which represents a single pay period. The value of each cell transcribed the current balance of my savings at this time here in the future if I add X amount of dollars to him each paycheck. I also factor if I know I will receive more money than the period which I will devote to savings, as a refund of the tax to pay. Currently if I make an adjustment to a cell (say, $ 50), I manually have to add $50 to each cell below the column, so the estimates all reflect this change. So here's my question: is there a function I can use to automatically calculate and perform this change in the following cells if I make a change in a cell above?   I don't know what you want to do. Take a look in the Menu > file > New model selector > personal finance for different models that can give you some ideas.

  For many years I have been using Microsoft Money 98 to manage my personal finances, my current computer is running on Windows XP.  Now, I plan to replace my computer and a new will run Windows 8 (or 8.1), unfortunately it is not compatible with Windows 8 Microsoft Money 98.

  I would like to continue to manage my finances without losing all my historical data from Money 98, are there procedures or personal finance apps that make this possible?

  Office 97 is not compatible with any version of victory, win7 & win8 and is no longer supported (no update security)

  Most of the problems are with outlook, so if you install, custom Setup to not include outlook, for a \Office97 \Program Files (x 86) folder

  If using win7 see this first Ko http://support.microsoft.com/kb/978591 if this applies also to the win8, I cannot say.

  If you are using win7 Pro (not the Home version) you can use virtual Windows XP and install Office 97 in this environment.

  Office 2007 and especially relies entirely on win7 & win8

• Install Quicken 2002 on a Windows7 Home Premium SP1 machine

  My husbands machine Vista plays to the top and needs to go home. He used Quicken 2002 for 12 years for the personal accounting and small business and wants to continue to use it.  I offered to put it on my HP Pavilion dv6, which is a Windows7 Home Premium SP1 op system. I tried to copy the contents of disc of quicken to my hard drive, change the compatibility mode of the programs for xp SP3 and as an administrator, but it still does not work. I've seen some old posts where people say they have it working under my set but without a full explanation. Any ideas, anyone please.

  The 'buy' on Ebay was for advice (I had originally thought and not the CD) but it's a great buy by following his advice intitial I bought a download to Quicken 2004XG and with the help of Dennis, we were able to install it on both a HP Pavilion windows 7 Home premium sp1 computer laptop and a PC Vista Home Premium sp2. Quicken seems to work perfectly and we were tweaking our original saved reports a bit on Windows 7 to run. Otherwise we would have lost for Quicken as our old laptop running 2002 disintegrates. Our other ideas would have not worked as we might not installed on any computer or maybe not even the same 2002 repaired laptop because registration would not have worked.

  We kept checking our personal finances and business since 1998 using Quicken (15 MB of data) and with Excel, spreadsheets have been able to plan a financial scenario that turned out to be very beneficial. I totally recommend planning to individuals and programs such as Quicken are essential.

  The United States abandoned Quicken to the United Kingdom completely outside the last 2004XG.

  Thanks again for your help and immediate response to my query. I hope that other British people find it useful and I recommend you the Ebay link to buy advice of Dennis, who worked for Intuit.

  Very strange... According to KB, after you connect to MyWorld (via PayPal references), it is supposed to be "Application Détails" somewhere, that contains the key... Sorry, but I have not paid from AppWorld apps to try.

  We had a few cases where updates / reinstalls (from got AppWorld apps) require additional steps in order to install the update and provide the license key; Please try this:

  1. Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > Applications > highlight the app > BBKey > delete
  2. AppWorld > MyWorld > BBKey > Login > highlight the app (if she shows at all, in any State) > BBKey > delete
  3. Use your PC (via the mass storage Mode) or your BB (via Media > BBKey > Explore) and find all references (folders, files) to the app delete everything you find. Search the memory of your device and your press card as well.

  I got an email notification that it has been an answer to my original question, but couldn't find it on the forum. First time user!
  Here's the info so I have asked me to help solve my problem.
  1. the model number of the drive is external hard drive Iomega 1 TB 31758600 LDHD-UP S/N: 97AW 1321 B1
  2 spin Microsoft Security Essentials on Windows 7 Professional. I don't know how to turn it off!
  3 PC has been recently upgraded to Windows 7 Professional to Windows XP Professional.
  4. when I'm trying to back up to the top of my old Quicken 2002 personal finance software I get the error message that the drive are not available despite appearing as an ikon in "My Computer".
  5. I'm trying to backup Quicken data.
  Hope you can help me solve this problem. I have an another external hard drive with two USB connections, who does not have this problem. My Iomega hard drive has a USB connection and requires an external power supply, and therefore comes with a plug.
