  My pre will connect successfully to my work email server and I sync effortlessly with calendar, contacts, and outgoing mail - large all workers.  I am however not nothing receive in my Inbox or folders of this particular accout (my other accounts work correctly). I'm used to recover the work of my office email in Outlook or on my company issued Blackberry (I prefer to withdraw in favour of my personal pre!).    Can anyone suggest what I might be able to do my job to Inbox?   Is there a setting on my Outlook client desktop should I change to keep mail on the server Exchange long eough to my pre have a chance to recover (just guess - not really sure how these things work.)

  I think I have a solution to our problem.   It seems that my pre is recovering successfully all messages in every folder EXCEPT my Inbox (provided that it is older than 1 day which is the setting I have on account preferences on my pre).  So, to work around this problem, in my work, Outlook, I created a new folder called "Inbox of NEW ELEMENTS" and set up a rule (menu Tools > rules and alerts) to move all meeages again immediately to this new folder.  It seems to work for me right now.

  Looks like a strange workarond and that the standard Inbox mail should automatically appear on my pre, but workaround at least annoys me my mail for now.  I'm still hoping for a more standard solution as the workaround has some weaknesses, including the lack of automatic on my pre notification when I receive messages from new work.

  In any case, it comes to curiuos if workaround works for you as well.  Hoepfully someone will recognize the nature of our problem and delivery of light on why this is happening and how to solve this problem in a more appropriate manner.

  Links and email addresses are not active in the composition window. During that long and you type correctly, they will be active when sending. You can save the message in drafts and see it become active or send it to yourself as a test.

  One of the requirements of the e-mail is there must have a sender. If this isn't your name, it will be your e-mail address.

  Thank you!! I went on all the time both in the Options and tools, but I missed the 'Share account' button. It worked. I've changed the default value.

  The wizard does not any part of the server names. I think you're confusing a label that simply States the type of server with the actual server name text entry (or more accurately, the address).

  A couple of my accounts using a format of "mail.example.com" and he had no difficulty at all by entering in these.

• How to change the style of FolderLink in outgoing mail?

  I use much characteristic Thunderbird FolderLink to attach big files. However, every time I use filelinks Thunderbird puts a html big with link to the attachment block, as shown in this screenshot: http://imgur.com/XexKeLK . Initially, it looks good and fancy but it very soon becomes very distracting, annoying and confusing to the recipient. Many times people confuse also with advertising! Also, when you use FolderLink, thunderbird would attach a file of 0 bytes with names like "Part1.2". So my question is:

  1. is it possible to simplify the html block generated by the function FolderLink? Just a clear link with can be the size of the file is good enough, at least for me. I tried to modify the HTML source of outgoing mail myself, but this isn't a solution because it must be done for each of the emails.

  2. can you Thunderbird not reach 0 byte files using FolderLink? It is also a source of confusion to the recipient.

  As suggested by christ1, switching to plain text email solves number 1 and it seems to work with all providers of FolderLink.

  Question 2 is not resolved by above workaround. However, I mark always this issue as resolved as first issue was the more boring for me. Thank you.

• Problems with outgoing mail

  In the two months I have had repeated issues with sending emails from my iPad Air.  The e-mails appear in the sent folder but are not delivered.  I get e-mails very well.  I can e-mail sent from Web sites.  The rest of the iPad works fine, but at some point the outgoing mails fail to deliver or give me any kind of error message.  I spent 12 hours or so away on the phone with Apple engineers who confirmed the problem making me send emails which they had not received and then have me confirm that they appear on my device in the file sent. Apple has increased the question to a researcher 3/2, and that was the last I heard from them.  I completely deleted the iPad twice and set up as a new device, manually adding in the applications and data.  For a while, everything works as it is supposed to.  It is the well because the only way that I realize outgoing mail is broken is again send myself or my husband a test email.  In the meantime, everyone thinks I've fallen off the coast of the planet.  Someone at - it suggestions?

  I'm sure you have tried this, but have you been in the settings, messages, contacts and calendars, remove your e-mail account, and then add the Info?

  When I try to share photos by e-mail I get the menu extensions and share Outlook Menu is shown with a checkmark - Outlook is my fault, but it cannot be selected. IE frozen.  How can I unlock to use? I deselected by default and tried to Mail Outlook instead. It shows the same way.

  Hello again guys!

  This error started before even El Capitan. I am able to receive emails but not send.

  The message is "this message can not be sent because your account does not have a mail server outgoing favorite" and I don't know where to change that or what to enter here, incidentally.

  Any ideas? I guess it's an easy fix (hopefully).

  and you get a warning that there is no preferred outgoing mail server, then click the tab accounts and change the account in question. Select a server from the menu

  I use an iMac, OS X El Capitan, Version 10.11.2

  I can receive messages, BUT I can't send any message.  I think I need to go to preferences in my email to correct, but I don't know what to do when I get there.

  Here's what I did:

  1. open my email

  2 went into preferences, my account

  Account information indicates the following:

  Account type: IMAP

  Description: cloud

  Alias and my info is everything is OK

  Outgoing (SMTP) server name: NO

  TLS certificate: NO

  There is no Port and SSL is unchecked.

  Can someone help me to implement?

  Outgoing mail server should be set to iCloud. You should be able to select from the drop-down list.

• Impossible to share photos by E-mail

  When I try to share a photo of Photos the only options I get is "iCloud shares", "Drop" and "Notes". When I click on 'More' I can see the options of "Mail" and "Messages" checked but 'grayed out' as is the option of release (even if it IS available on the 'Share' button!

  So the question is: how to select some photos to send mail directly from Photos?

  Apple Mail.app is set as your default mail software?  You can do this in the mail > Preferences > General. Then you should be able to share directly from Photos in the Mail.

  I had problems to my email, too, until I spent an hour on the phone with T-mobile and got the correct incoming server settings. Could be the same thing. Does anyone know the right settings for outgoing mail. I use hotmail instead of google mail.

  Things to check.

  Make sure your username is you full e-mail address. XXXX & hotmail .com

  Try changing your port out 25 instead of 587. and check also to use a secure connection.

  Make sure that the password has been entered correctly, sometimes us mess up and don't forget to press the ALT key before the number. Is the same thing for the caps. Sometimes we hit it twice and it stay in capital letters.
